Yeah.. Oojirou is a hottie.. BIG freakin time..
a short while after I started going to End of the World, one of the members, a guy named Eric, brought the first tape of this show, and I completely fell in love with it. Then I decided I MUST have it, and searched endlessly for it, until I discovered a guy who had the fansubbed VCDs of it!! WAI!! I purchased it slowly, but once I had it all, I was a happy fangirl.
Then I bought the books when they got released here (I have the japanese art books too!) and I bought the first dvd with the box recently.. I'm SooOo happy! I love the japanese vA's though, and have only heard the first episode in english. The voices seemed decent enough though..

Anyway, yeah!! YAY! Thanks Annie-chan for posting about this show! I love it! Also I highly recommend it to everyone who needs a little bit of happiness in their anime-watching lives ;)

*gasp* u have the art books! no freakin' way! thats next on my list of anime stuff to get. and now, a funny little story about when i purchased the first dvd. i got it in the box set section, so i thot i got them all, even though i noticed it was much cheaper than the others. when i got home to open it, all that was there was the first one, and the box. and so i've learned, never trust a box set when they cover all of them but the first.....i felt reely stupid afterwards.

Love this series, it's next on my list of DVDs to get! Saw the last three eps (fan-subbed) at S.L.A.A.Kers and got addicted. So cute! *adds Angelic Layer artbooks to his wish list.*

*nod nod* I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was cute, short, had a nice ending. some of the personalities seemed just a little lacking to me, but all in all i really liked it. I'd probably watch it again, but the discs i have didn't copy right... <_< ah well.

Don't feel stupid, annie-chan! order your shirt, and then buy the rest of the discs as they get released..
That's actually how a lot of series are getting released these days. Though sometimes, when they're totally released, they'll go ahead and release an entire box set. But I bought Love Hina like that, and X.. and hey! You get a SHIRT!! Isn't that cool? ;D

Now you know...

and knowing is half the battle!!

*beams*

and yes, I have the art books. They're super cute. I wish they'd release them in english cuz they have a lot of info in them and not just pics. I like the tv series better than the manga.. anyone else? FYI.. they have VERY different endings... and some of the thing with the Deus with the White Angel changes a bit.. (won't go into more detail here as it would have to include some MAJOR spoilers)

JA!

You guys forgot to mention that Angelic Layer is also the prequel to Chobits.

reely kago? id didn't know that...and im ordering the t-shirt rite now,but one thing thats always fun to discuss, tamayo's ways of torchering kotarou-chan, and how she's been doing it since they were 4! my fav part in the series, when tamayo reveals she also dresses him up girls clothes! it reminded me of Planet Ladder when Kaguya was dressing up gold....and here's a little thing, whats ur fav angel and why? for me, Blanche definately. she looks cul(and a lot like me for some strange reason) her hper mode attack is awesome, and her deus is reely cul to.

Yeah, Angelic Layer is the prequel to Chobits.
SPOILER ALERT!
In volume 7 of Chobits you find out that Ichiro (the guy who created Angelic Layer) is also the guy who created Persocoms, not to mention that he is Ms. Hibiya's late husband and the "father" of Freya and Elda (Chi).

Well.. yeah I guess it's kind of a prequel to Chobits.. The manga certainly seems that way.. it seems rushed.. But it's it's own story, and you don't have to watch Chobits if you watch Angelic Layer.

My fav angel? Hmm.. I like Suzuka and Wizard and um.. Ranga.. and uh.. Mao and Hikaru! I like them all.. I want one. *nodnodnod*

OO OPLanet ladder! I need more of that too!! ah well.. anyway..

I enjoyed the anime better than the manga for this series. The manga was so sloppy and rushed. It was like "let's hurry and get this done with so we can do chobits."

And I liked the emotional side to the anime better...it was a little more realistic than the manga had it.
