The battle was over but a great cost. It was the year 2011 and Gaia was 25.
Gaia finally got what she always wanted, a normal life (well as normal as her life as freak girl could be) Yuri and loki were finally dead, although oliver was too. Tom was still in the cia, Gaia had seen Natasha and tatiana shut up personally and with pleasure. Ed had moved on but they had renewed their friendship, ditto with sam and Gaia.

But Jake, Jake was just a memory, all she had left were the pictures, and their 3 year old son Nathan....

6 MONTHS BEFORE

Jake had come home from work early that day little did they know it would be the last day they would all be a family.
"Daddy Daddy!" a little boy with Jake's black hair and Gaia's blue eyes hurdled himself at jake. "Hey nate! what did you do today buddy?" Jake asked him "Uncle Sam took me to the park, and i taught him how to do karate!!!" Nate said then he ran down the hall to his room where he was watching tv. "Jake looked over at Gaia doesn't he ever get tired?" he asked kissing her. "no you must have been a very hyper child because i was nothig like that when i was his age" Gaia laughed
"i don't know what you are talking about, i was a perfect little kid" Jake said laughing also. "yea right and i'm the jolly green giant" gaia smirked at him. he luged at her and tickeld Gaia untill she screamed "uncle"

They all sat down to dinner that night in high spirits. there was a knock at the door and Nate jumped up "I'll get it!" Gaia was right behind him she opened the door and...

"Nate why don't you go to your room and watch tv Gaia said looking at the strange men in black suites. "but mommy what about-" "Nate just go sweetty" "okay"
"What do you want loki?" Gaia asked when she was sure nate was in his room (yes oliver made a transformation back agian) Loki pulled out a gun and aimed at Gaia's head for once she was too stunned to do anything. "Gaia no!" Jake tackled her to the ground as the first shots fired out of the gun. Nate ran out "mommy, daddy whats wrong whats wrong with Grandpa?" "get Nathan away i'll take care of this" Jake told her. Gaia nodded and took nathan out of harms way. from the other room they could hear battle sounds untill gaia hearnd a gunshot and a yell. she ran into the room and saw that jake was shot. She became so furious that she started to fight something she haden'ts done in years. Sonn all of the thugs were gone and loki was badly injured and being dragged out by two of his operatives.
"Jake where did you get shot?" she asked him, but he couldn't talk.. unlike the last time he took a bullet for Gaia this one was fatal. "get--... Nathan" he strained to talk. Gaia nodded with tears in he eyes she knew he was about to die

"i love you both very much " those were that last words he said to them before he went. "Daddy please don't leave me.. daddy..daddy!" nathan sobbed even though he was to young to understand he hated it when either of his parents were in pain

Gaia promised that no matter what she would always be there for Nathan. he wouldn't spend part of his life hating her the way she hated her father. She thought of Jake everyday, and the meory of what he did for them made her strong.
