hi ppl this is a totally new fanfic--all different from my old one. read it. it's my second one...so be nice... :D

~*cHaPtEr 1*~

Gaia fluttered her eyes open to a new day. She was lying in her new, her-style grungy bed that she and her father bought the day before. She looked over to the small, twin-sized yellow bed next to her. Her brother D. was fast asleep. D. had flown in from the farm he lived at with Gaia’s friend Daisy. She, Daisy, Tatiana, and Gaia’s friend Paris were all kidnapped and sent to a mental hospital where they were brainwashed by people from the organization. Gaia kept getting a warm feeling inside of her when she remembered she had a brother. A brother. When Gaia told Tom about D. he was extremely happy. He decided, that because D. was a year older- he was fourteen and Gaia was 18- that D. could live with Gaia and her father. D. had training and therapy and he was closer to normal than he was when Gaia met him. D. stirred and muttered something like “glurrius”. She got out of bed quietly, not to wake D. and walked into the kitchen. What she saw was surprising and unexpected.

not much happened there but that was kinda just the introduction.

~*cHaPtEr 2*~

And sure enough, it was Jake.
“Rise and shine sleepy head.” He said. Gaia was mortified. She was wearing a long cotton shirt with underwear under. That’s it.
“What the hell are you doing here?..and at 8:00 on a Saturday?” Gaia asked him- trying to cover herself up.
“I’m giving you a wakeup call.” Jake said.
“I was already awake.” Gaia said…but then smelled something so marvelous all of her worries were melted away.
“Krispy Kream” Gaia said in a faraway-dreamland voice.
“That’s right. But only if you go and get dressed-” he then looked at her and blushed. “If you get dressed and go with me to a movie.” A movie? What is this a 1950’s soap opera? Movies? At 8:00?! But those Krispy Kremes were softening her insides…
“Fine.” She said as she tip-toed back to her and D.’s room. She got dressed into her not-so ratty jeans, slapped on a white tank top, and settled for a navy blue sweatshirt. She put on her sneakers and combed her hair a little bit. She walked back into the kitchen. She tried to grab for the bag, but Jake stopped her.
“Don’t get too dressed up now…” Jake said sarcastically.
“You’re looking quite high-quality yourself.” She said. She looked him up and down. He was wearing jeans, a black muscle shirt, and a short leather jacket. She grabbed the bag from him, smiled, and stuffed a Krispy Kream into her mouth.
“Don’t forget to say please.” Jake shot jokingly. D. walked into the room rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
“Sister. Jake.” D. greeted to them.
“’Mornin, D.” Gaia said to him. “How did you sleep?”
“Glorious.”
“Hey, Mr. D.!” Jake said to him. Mr. D was what he called D. Gaia had no idea why, but she liked Jake getting comfortable with her brother.
“Gaia and I were just having some breakfast.” Jake took back the back from Gaia and offered D. a donut.
“No. Glory to you.”
“I think he’s trying to say ‘no thankyou’.” Gaia said to Jake.
Gaia stood next to D. and kissed him on the top of his head- she was quite a bit taller than him.
“Well, we better get going, Jake.” Gaia said.
“We’re going to the movies, D. Will you be okay with dad?” Gaia asked D.
D. Nodded.
“Cya, Mr. D.” Jake said to D. They walked out the door to the movies.

Please excuse my typing…i just put on fake nails and its really hard to type! heh

“So, where do you want to go?” Ed asked Kai. They were walking along Washington Square Park, deciding what to do with their day. He really liked Kai. She was a great girl- she was funny, smart, always in a good mood, and she liked skateboarding. That was a plus. They just weren’t going to be together forever, they weren’t going to get married and have kids and grow old together- like Ed used to think about Gaia. God, he had to stop thinking like that. Yeah, Ed knew he was stubborn. He knew inside of him that he loved Gaia. But no way, no how, was he going to make amends with her. She fooled around with Sam and lied to him about it. No way was he going to forgive her. But when he saw her walking down the sidewalk, next to Jake Montone, he had a change of heart. They seemed to be going in the direction of the movies. He was about to tell Kai they were going the exact opposite way of the movies, she said,
“I want to go to the movies. There’s this really cool new Jackie Chan movie that comes out today. I looove Jackie Chan. You know we were born in the same city?” Kai kept rambling about Jackie Chan as Kai and Ed walked closer to the Jackie Chan theatre. Ed was there because Kai wanted to be. That’s the only reason.

“What to choose, what to choose,” Gaia said looking at the movie choices, “There’s a lame Jackie Chan movie, a talking pig movie, and a sequel to Gone with the Wind.”
“I say we do something else.” Gaia said.
“Jackie Chan! He’s as close to Bruce Lee as anybody…that’s where we’re going.” Jake said. Gaia shrugged.
“Whatever. As long as the concession stand has junk food, I’m good.”
