Ok my friends, here it is. My long anticipated (I hope) sequel to HOME. I'll pick up where I left off, and here's a quick synopsis for those of you who need it:

Loki's still in a coma
Tatiana is at large. She killed Heather, and framed Gaia in the process. The police are looking for Gaia right now.
Ed's operatin is failing, and he can't feel his legs (again)
Jake is fearless, and has come from HOME (Horomone Oddities Medical Environment).
He just told Gaia that he's fearless.
Ok? here we go...!

Two of a kind
Gaia looked up at Jake, blinking her eyes in disbelief.
"What do you mean, 'fearless'?" she asked him.
"I mean, ever since I was a little kid, I've never been afraid of anyhing. And it wasn't like I was brave or anything. I don't even know what it is to be brave. It's just that where the part of my mind that tells me to be scared is supposed to be, there's a big hole."
Jake let out a long sih, and turned from Gaia, "I'll understand if you think that I'm crazy. Or lying. Or both. But you saw those people chasing me into the subway station. You know that there must be something about me."
Gaia took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She wasn't afraid, but she was in shock. Obviously, she believed what Jake was telling her, but it was hard. Gaia had always thought that SHE was the only fearless person in the world. Now, knowing that there was someone else she could relate to, that was a big thing.
"Jake, I do believe you. In fact, -" Gaia paused, realizing that she was about to tell Jake her own secret. But She was't quite sure that she was ready to open up to Jake quite that much.
"In fact..." Jake prompted her.
"In fact, I don't remember what I was gona say. But I do believe you."
real smooth, Gaia thought to herself, I was trained to think fast, and here I am, not able to come up with something to follow 'in fact'.
"So, what now?" Gaia asked Jake.
"I'm not sure. They obviously know where I live now and God knows I don't have any family to go and live with, so I don't rally know."
Gaia thought for a moment, then felt her heart jump up, I think I have an idea about where you can stay."

The Captor is Revealed
Tom impatiently lay out on his hospital bed. He wanted to know where he was, and in whose custody. What day was it? Where was Gaia? Or Natasha? Shouldn’t there be a doctor who would come in and check on him?
He was getting very frustrated with this tube sticking down his throat too, and he gagged frequently.
There was no door in his room, only a doorway, which led out into a white hallway.
Looking out it, Tom saw a female nurse walk by.
“Mmmph!!! Mmmph!!!” Tom struggled to make some kind of noise, and wriggled his body, trying desperately to get some kind of attention from the nurse.
“Omigod! She gasped, seeing that he was awake. Boss! Come quick! Enigma’s awake!”
Almost immediately, doctors, and nurses surrounded Tom. Someone hooked up a transfusion of Haldol to his IV, and his eyes began to see black. But before the world went dark, he caught a glimpse of his, well; he supposed it was his kidnapper. He saw before him the form of his old father-in-law. The man who was supposed to be dead. Yuri.

Gaia and Jake snuck quietly down the back streets of New York, slowly making their way towards Ed's apartment.
"Why are we here?" Jake asked once they reached the front enterance, "am I staying with Ed?"
"No," said Gaia. "I just need to make sure that he's okay. Then I'm taking you to Alphabet City."
"Alphabet City? Isn't that where Tatiana and Natasha's safe house is?"
Gaia paused for a moment, having only just remembered this, "Yeah, I guess it is. But that's not where we're going. We're going to another house."
Without another word, Gaia and Jake entered the building, and took the elevator up to the 6th floor. Gaia knocked on the door, and heared Ed call from inside, "come in".
Gaia and Jake walked in, and saw the form of Ed, crumpled on the floor.
"Ed!" Gaia exclaimed, "What happened?"
"When I tried following you out earlier, I don't know what happened. My legs just collapsed. I-I can't feel them anymore..."
Ed trailed off, and Gaia knew instantly what had happened. Ed' 'miracle procedure' had only been a quick fix. Now, it was falling apart. And sending Ed back to his wheel chair.
"Oh, Ed," Gaia said in an uncharacteristcally soft voice, "I am so sorry."
While Gaia's heart tugged at her to run over and hold Ed, of find that bastard of a doctor, and make him fix this, Gaia's feet stayed firmly planted exactly where they were.
"Ed, I have to take Jake somewhere really quickly, but then I'll be back, ok?"
Ed's face fell even further that Gaia knew that it could, and (not for the first time) she wished that instead of being born fearless, she could have been guiltless.
"i'll be back soon," she whispered, and then, she and Jake walked from the building.

Ed sat on his couch, utterly amazed at what had just happened. Gaia Moore, his best friend in the entire world, had just abandoned him to run off with Jake.
I knew that there was something between them! he thought furiously.
For lack of anything better to do, Ed picked up the remote control to his television, and turned on the news, in the hopes that that hot reporter would be on.
"We are here at the scene of the crime," said the reporter, Jane Killman (the hot reporter), "and the police have informed me that the murderer has yet to be apprehended.
"For those of you just tuning in, I am here at the Carverton School for the Blind, where earlier today, a young girl named Heather Ghannis was brutally shot and murdered by her old classmate, Gaia Moore.
"We have been given a composite drawing to show you, in the hopes that if you see this girl, you will immediately contact the authorities."
Ed's jaw dropped, and he realized what this woman was saying. He looked closely at the composite as it took over the screen, certain that a mistake had been made.
"Once again, her name is Gaia Moore, she is 5'9, and has long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is reported as being relatively unkempt."
As Ed studied the picture, he realized that it wasn't a picture of Gaia. Sure, there were similarities, and had he not known any better, he would have thought that it was Gaia, but he recognized her as someone else.
Tatiana.

Tatiana's POV
I am not in hiding right now. I am living in the ABC safe house. I have a televison in the house so I have seen the news. They are looking for Gaia. This is just as I wanted it. However, they have a sketch of Gaia, well, of me, and they are on the lookout for a tall blonde girl.
So I have dyed my hair brown, and I have put my green contacts back in.
It will soon be time to move onto the next faze of my plan.
But for now I'm just waiting for Gaia to get arrested.


Gaia and Jake walked, carefully once agan, down to Alphabet City.
"Where are you taking me to anyways Gaia?"
"I'm taking you to a safehouse Jake. I haven't been there in months, but there's a bed, and a coffee maker, and a TV."
"Ok, so how do you know about this magical safehouse that comes fully equipped for the caffine crazy like me?"
"It was my foster mother's safe house."
"Oh...well, will she mind if we use it?"
"She's, she's dead now."
"oh. sorry."
"it's ok."
Their conversation was cut short however, when they saw a policeman start racing towards them shouting, "Hey! You!"
Jake and Gaia began running away from the officer. Gaia was increasingy thankful that Jake was also a genetic freak who was able to run as fast as she could.
"Gaia! Gaia Moore!" the police officer yelled.
Gaia stopped short in her tracks. She had automattically assumed that he was after Jake. But what did this officer want with her? Gaia turned to face the policeman, who was panting at this point.
"What do you want?" she asked respectfully. She may not have liked it, but he was an authority figure, so Gaia felt it was her duty to not be entirely rude to him.
"You are under arrest young lady. For the murder of Heather Ghannis. You have the right to remain silent..."
His words trailed off in Gaia's mind as she struggled to understand what was happening. Heather was dead? Why was she being blamed for it? This didn't make sense.
Gaia watched as Jake continued running down the street. She was glad of one thing, that she had told Jake the address of the safe house. Hopefully hed find it on his own. Gaia winced as she felt cold steel surround her wrists, and heard the clicking of handcuffs tightenting.
"...Do you understand these rights?"
"yes." she growled, and was eluctantly led off by the cop, to his waiting squad car, parked down the street.

NO! Gaia can't be arrested!

Cecillia's POV

They'll bring Jake back again, no problem. I'm not worried that I'll never see him again or anything. But when he comes back this time, I'm gonna make him pay for what he's done. He'sm going to regret no taking me with him. He NEVER takes me with him.
Next time, he will.

Jake ran without ceasing until he reached the building on the southeast corner of Avenue C and 8th Street. He knew that Gaia was no longer behind him, because he had heard her footsteps stop awhile back. But, as she had instructed of him, Jake continued running.
Jake slipped through the door, and into the building.
Once there, he realized how dilapidated it was. But Gaia had said that he would be safe here, and Jake believed her.
After waundering through the apartment building, and realizing that there was no running water, Jake stumbled across a milk crate under the stair case, along with several shoe boxes.
Jake opened up the milk crate first, and found several pictures. They were all in black and white. There was one of a woman drinking a cup of coffee. It was shot so cunningly that the steam seemed suspended in the air. The woman was in a buisness suit, but she was wearing flip flops.
There was another one of a bicycle messenger handing off a package to the recipient.
Jake felt sincerely moved by these photographs, and felt that whomever had taken them had had true talent.
Jake then moved on to one of the four shoe boxes. When he opened it, his jaw dropped in amazement at what he saw.......

Tatiana watched from behind a building, and marveled at her good luck. She had been walking to her Alphabet City Safe House when she saw Gaia being manhandled by a police officer.
Extasy rose in her chest as she heared Gaia's rights being read to her.
Tatiana tried to contain herself as a bubble of laughter formed and worked it's way up her throat, trying to escape.
To try and divert her attention, Tatiana focused on a blur running down the street that she recognized as Jake Montone.
As soon at the squad car carrying her nemesis pulled away from her hiding spot, Tatiana sprinted down the alley way after Jake to see just where he was going.

"I'm telling you, I did not kill Heather!" Gaia yelled angrily at the cop, whose bulging stomach was having a hard time being contained by his blue uniform.
"You have been brought in here once before on a related matter, do you remember Ms. Moore?"
Gaia's mind traveled back six months to her first few days in New York, when she had allowed Heather to walk through WSP and get slashed by CJ, this neo-nazi punk from a gang.
"Yeah, well you made it clear to me back then that I was not a suspect in that case, and that it was not my fault sir."
"Well, now this girl is dead. And you are a suspect. The main suspect. The only suspect. Hey Lou, let's take a look at this girl's reccord, shall we?"
Lou walked over to the table where Gaia was sitting, and layed a thin manilla envelope down.
"Says here that her mother died when she was 12, and her father abandoned her the same night. Been shuffled around in foster homes ever since."
Gaia's eyes stung with tears of humiliation that these two fat pigs knew her histoy that she dared not share with almost anyone.
"her most recent foster family has recently dissapeared...under mysterious circumstances..."
"Well, what do you know about all of this young lady?"
"They were international terriorists who tired to kill my father, who by the way, is currently missing in action. Tatiana, my foster sister, is the one who really killed Heather, not me. We look an awful lot alike."
"The cops gave eachother a look, and left without a word. Several minutes later, A man in a lab coat came in.
"Hello Gaia. I'm here to help you with your delusions."
Where Gaia knew that fear should be, she only felt rage as she muttered his name, "Dr. K."

Jake stared into the box, and saw several bundles of hundred dollar bills.
He tried to continue standing as his entire body went numb with shock.
Where had Gaia gotten all of this money?
Why was she hiding all of it here?
Jake knew that there was something secretive about Gaia, something that she wasn't telling him, he just didn't know what it was yet.
Maybe she had stollen the money, and that was why she had been arrested.
Maybe he was in terrible danger jsut bieng in her presence; but Jake wasn't afraid of what would happen when Gaia came back, and he had no doubt that she would. He never was afraid of anything after all.
And even if he was, he knew that he could take her on.

Jake thumbed through the bills, breathing in their crisp, fresh scent. After removing several stacks from the box, he came across a small envelope. Curious, he picked it up and opened it. Inside there were two one way plane tickets to Punta Cabres, Mexico. They were under the name Kelly Anne Markson; Jake took a deep breath tpo steady himself.
What the hell was Gaia into? And where was she anyways? Jake had assumed that she was right behind him, but she was nowhere to be seen.
After what seemed like forever, Jake heard footsteps creep quietly into the safehouse. Jake was relieved, or at least as releived as someone who couldn't feel fear could be. "Gaia, you're here. where were-"
Jake was cut short when he turned around, and saw, not Gaia, but a tall girl with dark brown hair that was pulled back into a severe ponytail, and had startling green eyes.
"Who are you?" Jake asked
"Oh Jake, don't you know me?"
It took Jake only moments to place that cold, steely Russian voice. It was Tatiana. and she had followed him right into the safe house.
