In beek 22, page 101. just before throwing them off the roof, Ed's crutches are referred to as "two hundred dollars' worth of medical equipment." This seemed very steep to me, so I checked the Rexall around here and found perfectly good crutches for $42 each. Does anyone know if the Fargos got monumentally hosed on that purchase, or are Floridians just lucky that way?

Maybe they were special crutches? Or maybe things are more expensive in New York, who knows? Personally, I always thought it was crap that Ed somehow managed to get out of his wheelchair and walk around that soon, with or without crutches.
