Title: Create a TNLoCK Forum Category?
Description: As a "Sister" to Fearless?

oldclothesKing - January 13, 2005 01:25 AM (GMT)
Alright, I suppose I'll just have to get the most n00bish question out of the way, seeing as it is only my third post. (This is pretty much copied and pasted from my "welcome thread." ... Is there any chance at all, (And rest assured, this isn't the type of question where I bug people about it until it happens.) of getting a TNLoCK Category group here? Apparently, there are people who would would enjoy such a thing.

Hey, if there's an entire forum devoted to Fearless, I shouldn't see why they shouldn't at least ally themselves with a close relative, much less incorporate such a similar material into itself. I would personally love to see something like that. An extra category really couldn't hurt, as long as it doesn't detract from the main point of the forum. :) (Quite obviously Fearless)

I know it seems a bit riduculous, but it can't really harm the site, or at least in any way that I can see at the moment through my unfamiliar perspective. Thanks for your time. :)

I made a separate forum for TNLoCK several months ago, but only one person from FF joined it. If more people here have read the series by now then a topic here could be a nice change, considering how FF is really slow recently. Otherwise, I would hate to see the topic die like my forum did. It's just too depressing.
And it's not ridiculus at all. And yay for being an active poster right off the bat!

oldclothesKing - January 13, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
Yeah, thanks, I know! It's a bit unusual, I'll admit, ... but more benefit to you guys than to myself. :)

Er.. KBG.. Do you still have the URL? I would very much like to join, if ... it's still up, or something. * Crosses Fingers * I'm currently (And by currently, I mean continuing from last night.) setting up my own TNLoCK Forum, in case you fine folks dislike the idea of a symbiotic set of forums devoted to Fearless's sister series.

It's really a shame to see such potential go undecided. As I've seen on countless other locations, "Title does NOT Necessitate behavior." Just because it's a Fearless Forever board doesn't mean it must ONLY be for such. There are things as "Hosted Forums" as well.

... Sorry if I'm offending anyone, particularly since I'm "new."

I voted, Unless the vast majority of people here have read it, no.

Because we don't really need more space if members aren't even going to post in them, and I haven't read the books yet.

I said no, it's a fearless board. if could make your own board if you wanted to have a TNLock forum so much. Or you could look for one.

hope413 - January 13, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
I would have to read it first before I voted. :D

same here.

and also, why make a category, when you have a thread? it's simpler, and cleaner.

oldclothesKing - January 14, 2005 02:08 AM (GMT)
An interesting question, with an interesting and mildly annoying answer. Why does Fearless need an entire set of categories to discuss what (you say) a single thread might accomplish? Technically, you could say everything that you need to say in one single thread. ... Technically. It's this "technically" which compels us to expand from the simple, and journey toward the advanced, the complex, the technical. ;) Why stop at a simple discussion thread, when you could go all out, because there's so much to see, so much to speak about, so much to relate to others, and so much to take in from such a tremendous and uplifting experience? There are discussions, and there are discussions! Big difference there.

I haven't even read Fearless yet, (But rest assured, book #1 is sitting right next to me right now. :D Thank god I remembered to stop at the library on my way home.) but I registered here anyway. There is a treasure trove of information right here for the absorbing. If I can read through it all, it just may make my experience of Fearless that much greater. Seeing as few of you seem to have read TNLoCK, wouldn't the same general train of logic follow suit from it?

...

For the moment, your thoughts are all incredibly more important than whatever may result from this. I thank you all very much for responding. :)

Even if it requires an annoying answer, this is a Fearless forum, the nine lives of chloe king have absolutely nothing to do with Fearless, it's not related, affiliated, or even a spin off of the series. Since this is a fearless forum, I think it be odd for us to have a category.
Also it's not up to us whether we have one or not, this is not OUR board, this belongs to Nance and Domino, no matter what we say it's up to them.
And we could technically say it all in a thread, btu that would be an incredibly long thread... lol.

I suppose it would be ok..but it's up to Domino and Nance..just as long is stays fearless related..this is a fearless forum after all ;)

FGaia13 - January 14, 2005 09:10 PM (GMT)
I think only a board should be made, and inside the Other Books board.

Domino - January 14, 2005 11:18 PM (GMT)
A category is a little much to ask, because it is a Fearless forum. We do have a non-fearless book forum in the non-fearless section. You could open a topic there. However, if there were enough members who read the series and enough members asked, it may be possible to open a TNLoCK forum inside the non-fearless book forum. But if you wanted you could also make your own TNLoCK forum if you wanted to. I'd be willing to help you, and it could be affiliated with FF.

oldclothesKing - January 15, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Oh my, that's very kind of you, Domino. :) I am truly grateful. Affiliation does seem like the greatest choice. (I honestly hadn't thought of that ... You so wise, Domino. ^_^ ) Although, I wouldn't want to press anything though, ... So far, (Particularly since it was just made THREE DAYS AGO, ... @_@ ) it's relatively small. If members wish to join, there's a link in my signature. If it does grow, affiliation would be most prime.

Of course, please don't think I'm just trying to gather members though this. I'm pretty sure we all know better than that. TNLoCK just deserves as much attention as Fearless does, quite easily. (Especially after actually READING both books, ... :P ) I'm just really surprised more people haven't heard of TNLoCK as Fearless. I keep discovering similarities between them on almost ever page. o_0 .. Seriously, a search for a TNLoCK Forum on the 'net revealed nothing whatsoever. ... Like a barren wasteland. .. But now I'm just rambling because I haven't been able to sleep in days, and should remove my hands from the keyboard now. -_-; G'day all.

FGaia13 - January 16, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
If there already is a fanlisting for TNLoCK, you can e-mail some of the fans and let them know about the board.

oldclothesKing - January 16, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
... Such a thing is true ... But I don't like to bother people saying things like "Come to my forum!!!!1!!11!!oneone..." It just sounds ... needy. 0_o Thanks though, very much.

Adds are running on Google, (In about 2-3 days, I suppose.) .. And it's in the Invisionfree Board Directory. Besides, if anyone here really wants to speak about TNLoCK, there's really nothing stopping anyone from making a topic in the "Other ... " ... Whatever that forum is called down there under the Member's Lounge, .. or just plain clicking on the link in my forum. <(0_0)> It works all the same. I really don't want to divide a community. I've seen far too much of that with Invisionfree. (If you really want to ask, .. don't. You'll need popcorn and a comfortable chair for that.)

*lol* .. what a fuss. :P
