Title: Posurs
Description: what's the big deal?

EddieBear2004 - November 11, 2004 11:45 PM (GMT)
Seriously, explain the concept of posurs to me. i know what they are and everything, I'm not stupid, but why does everyone go on and on about who's a posur, who's sold out, who's a punk, slut, ect.? It seems like a waste of time. I listen to people I may not like the personality of, and seriously, someday we'll all be dead, it wouldn't matter if some rapper sold out or not. It just seems like a stupid reason to hate music because it's popular or not. Or by a posur or not. Pretend you don't know anything about any of the band members next time and pretend you don't know anything about them. If you still hate them because of the beat or lyrics, continue hating them with my blessing. If you think they're worth a listen to, ignore the PEOPLE and think about the MUSIC. Just a little piece of advice and how annoyed I am about people calling bands fake when they don't know them.

EddieBear2004 - November 11, 2004 11:48 PM (GMT)
sorry about that, i don't think most of you at ff are this way, but this is mostly to people at another site, Bolt, but the thing won't let me post, so I'm letting it off here.

hope413 - November 12, 2004 12:53 AM (GMT)
I agree with you.. a lot! :)

Lady_Montone - November 12, 2004 10:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah I agree with u too sis...

allyar - November 12, 2004 10:39 AM (GMT)
i completely agree. and why do people get to decide if they're posurs?

Oscar - November 12, 2004 10:46 AM (GMT)
You said it...

David - November 12, 2004 05:08 PM (GMT)
I agree with you Marie, very much in fact! ;)

darkillusion - November 12, 2004 08:52 PM (GMT)
Yup, and the popular trend at my school is like "KISS! ACDC! NIRVANA!" Urmm yeah. Kiss was popular before you were born! I dont care if they like that music its just that now its like "DEATH TO ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES WHAT WE LIKE!!" and its stupid & annoying.

EddieBear2004 - November 12, 2004 09:36 PM (GMT)
Actually, I do like ACDC. lol! But I like it because it's cool, I didn't know anyone under 20 still listened to them until this year. Not a Nirvana fan though. And Kiss might be okay, my friend says their good. I don't get too deep into genres because everyone has their own definition of hard/punk rock (most famous example) and I just have given up and say I like rock. Like I like some of Marilyn Manson's music, yet I'm a Christian, which I know is plain weird, but I mostly go to the beat with him. Yeah, I know, I go to bolt.com just to see how mush these people go on an on about how fake Hilary Duff or Avril or Good Charlotte or whoever and then people come back and tell them that they're not, blah, blah, blah. It's funny. I like telling them off. :D

allyar - November 13, 2004 01:48 AM (GMT)
my dad made me listen to 80s rock music when i was younger so I've always loved 80s rock. But i listen to everything, from rock to country, anything. I'm not a picky person

fearless_shaz - November 13, 2004 11:02 AM (GMT)
the good thing bout the UK in my area is that all music is appreciated....for example im indian and whenever i am listening to it people actually take an intrest..........they dnt judge it by its cateogry...

Lady_Montone - November 13, 2004 04:08 PM (GMT)
Thats good...

EddieBear2004 - November 13, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
Lucky ducky.

Lady_Montone - November 13, 2004 09:33 PM (GMT)
Like ur sig, Marie....its cool

Mary Moss - November 13, 2004 09:41 PM (GMT)
In my school there's so many stereotypes...people judge you by what music you listen to, how you dress, etc...... <_<

EddieBear2004 - November 13, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
thank u, L!

EddieBear2004 - November 13, 2004 09:56 PM (GMT)
sure you don't go to my school? actually, my school isn't that bad as far as music you listen to goes. Mostly there it's just clothes and outgoingness that matter.

Mary Moss - November 13, 2004 10:41 PM (GMT)
Yeah, in my school too, but if you dress a certain way people think they already know what kind of music you listen to.

EddieBear2004 - November 13, 2004 10:48 PM (GMT)
As much as I try not to, sometimes I do. Like I was shocked when I found out this one girl was into Craddle of Filth and she looked morre like an Ashlee Simpson type.

fearless_shaz - November 13, 2004 11:39 PM (GMT)
we neva judge...........every1 dnt assume because i walk around with designers on im posh...............its becasue i like them....

EddieBear2004 - November 14, 2004 01:34 AM (GMT)
I didn't ASSUME she liked Ashlee Simpson. I just didn't think she'd be into metal. I mean, I've seen her wear pink, and people who're into metal around here wear black, black, red, and black.

allyar - November 14, 2004 02:11 AM (GMT)
i like ashlee simpson

EddieBear2004 - November 14, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
I do to, I was just trying to say she looked more into mainstream stuff that wasn't Brittney and the first person I thought of was Ashlee, opposed to metal.

fearless_shaz - November 14, 2004 01:44 PM (GMT)
yeh thats the way people always do assume....that what u wear is what u listen to....but then thats life for ya...no1 will change...you kno wah they say 1st appearances do make an impression on people

EddieBear2004 - November 14, 2004 03:09 PM (GMT)
hm...I wonder what people think I listen to? I don't really look like a punk or goth or prep, so I wonder what I'd be sterotyped as...

Okay, I guess I don't always practice what I preach, but at least I'm not gonna kill someone if they don't like the same music or clothes or whatever as me. :D

KickBoxerGirl - November 15, 2004 05:16 AM (GMT)
I am lucky. At the U people dont care what you look like. Most people are too drunk or tired to even notice where they are, much less hassle someone about something as shallow as appearance. So, everyone here should go to the University of Minnesota when they graduate. No more dealing with shallow losers!

But I do understand what everyone is saying about how ppl think they know you just because you wear black or pink or Converse. It was the same at my high school. I think being judged actually helps shape personal identity, but I guess I am able to take that stance because I dont have to deal with it anymore.

I hope everyone is feeling cool. Cause we all rock here. Oh yea.

Lady_Montone - November 15, 2004 07:53 AM (GMT)
In my school they judge you by what music u listen to, what clothes you wear.....weather you're popular or not....and so on....hate that!

Robin - November 15, 2004 10:59 AM (GMT)
Yeah I hate that....and just becasue I skate they think I'm some kind of asshole...ok I can be that too..lolz...but thats not the point. You cant judge ppl like that!

EddieBear2004 - November 15, 2004 12:41 PM (GMT)
I like skaters! Okay, I've only known a few and they're kinda annoying sometimes, but that's just them, not the skating.

Robin - November 15, 2004 12:45 PM (GMT)
Hehe..lol..skating is awesome!!!!

EddieBear2004 - November 15, 2004 12:49 PM (GMT)
are you talking about SKATING or SKATEBOARDING? If you mean just skating, I love it, even though I can only just stake straightfoward and turn. If you mean skateboarding, I respect you immensly, it is hard to do!

Robin - November 15, 2004 12:51 PM (GMT)
I'm talking about both...although skating (skateboard) is like my life!!! Hehe...me and I dont know if u know him...David...we have like skated since forever!!!!

EddieBear2004 - November 15, 2004 09:25 PM (GMT)
I don't see how you do it, it's impossible!

Smileforpeople - November 20, 2004 06:03 AM (GMT)
