Title: Loving you
Lady_Montone - September 11, 2004 08:39 PM (GMT)
Ok people, my first fic....don't judge too harsh!
Alright....
LOVING YOU
She wasn't what you would call the ideal girl. But she was Gaia Moore. She would protect the city from whatever scum hanging around there just looking for oppurtunities to harass, rape or whatever crime lying next to their way of thinking. Gaia Moore would kick, punch and run until she won. And she did it with grace. With golden hair flying all around her face and fists whirling Gaia Moore fought like no on else. Like a thunder when she was in a focused state. Most people would have walked away, most people would have been scared. But not Gaia Moore - she was fearless.
He was walking beside her ever so confidently, a cockiness there. He knew something she didn't.
"What?"
"Nothing", Jake laughed.
Jake Montone was walking beside her and he was watching her. He obviously didn't think she would notice. Bu how could you not?
It wasn't as if he was looking at her as if she was model-looking. He was looking at her as if she was something nice to look at. She wasn't. Come, on was this gay blind or something. Gaia Moore wasn't pretty, let alone beautiful.
But he was still looking at her as if she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever since.
It was probably just her imagination. No one in their right mind would look at her like that. As if they loved her like that. But he looked at her like that. As if he was Loving. Her.
A scream cut off every thought she had been thinking and she could feel Jake strating to run beside her. At the same time.

Yeah well I'm changing the storyline so there's no possibility to know what's gonna happen ;) !
I'm gonna update soon !
Lady_Montone - September 12, 2004 01:42 PM (GMT)
Ok, here's the update! Enjoy! :)
She ran, Jake just a few paces behind.
The scream had come from the centre of the park.
And there where the trees grew closer, where moonlight simpered through a man was standing. A big one, not muscular or anything but big just the same. And beneath him was a girl, a very pretty girl. But she was disturbingly silent.
Gaia saw the knife and on pure instinct she ran and delivered a few well-placed kicks and the knife went flying just the same as the man.
And when he was out of the way she couldn’t do anything but stare. The girl who now came into view in the moonlight was very young, maybe the same age as Gaia herself.
And there was so much blood, so much. She were covered in blood, it was soaking up her clothes and skin. It looked just like it would belong in a horror movie.
Except it wasn’t, this was for real and there was nothing she or Jake could do about it. It made her feel sick, it wasn’t fear she was feeling. But the emotions piercing through her body was mixed.
Memories of a younger Gaia bent over her mother when the kitchen was covered in blood just the same as her own flesh and blood, her mother. There was snow and blood.
Memories of Mary Moss lying in the snow bleeding and now this, it was simply too much.
The man was probably unconscious and fortunately for him he didn’t seem to be able to move. She felt exhausted, really drained, more than she ever felt after a fight. But people that young weren’t meant to die. She saw Jake checking if there was a pulse out of the corner of her eye. She couldn’t talk it any longer. She walked out of the park.
Jake had already called 911; at least she hoped he had.
- Gaia are you alright? Jake asked when they were out of the park. Her skin was pale as a ghost’s.
- Is she dead? She whispered not quite meeting his eyes.
- Yeah, she is he said and hugged her close.
- There was so much blood, she whispered.
- Yeah, I know he said tightening his grip reassuringly and protectively around her waist.
- You called…
- Yeah he said in her hair.
- It really freaked me out, cause it reminded me of how my…my mom died.
- I’m sorry.
- Yeah, it was just too much she said. She didn’t really cry, except for the large tears sneaking their way down her cheeks to fall on the fabric of his shirt.
And while they stood there holding on to each other, the sounds that filled their surroundings was a mix of the ambulance and the police, when people started screaming and shouting she looked into his eyes, tears still clinging to every single eyelash.
There was so many emotions reflected, so much love in his eyes.
And when there wasn’t anyone around, when the wind pulled back her hair making her look like the angel she truly was, when the clouds disappeared to reveal a starry sky she reached up and met his lips with hers.
And when the rain fell down, when he held her face in his hands kissing her deeply, Gaia Moore felt not just truly loved but for the first time in a long long time, she felt complete. With Jake Montone.

Lady_Montone - September 14, 2004 01:00 PM (GMT)
Alright, here's the second chapter! Keep telling me what you think! :hi:
2. BROTHERS
Tom looked at his brother, Oliver wanted to talk to him and he wasn't sure where he stood. Seeing him pacing like that brought back waves of memories.
- You told me it was important, Oliver. What’s wrong?
- Oh no, everything is just fine. In fact they’re better then fine he said, the chill transparent in his voice.
Tom stepped back one pace not sure what to think. Surely Oliver was Oliver and not… No, that simply was too hard to stand. Though a part of him could see what was right in front of him, what was really obvious.
- Then why did you come here? he asked not letting his true feelings show.
- You know what I want Tom, Oliver stated making sure there would be no misunderstandings.
His voice had turned from chilly to cold as ice. When he looked in those eyes that held the same colour as his, he only saw darkness and cruelty. It was true then, Loki was back. And he wanted something he couldn’t have. He wanted Gaia, again, and Tom was more than sick of it. He was clearly deranged.
- Yes I know what you’re thinking, and you’re wrong. I’ve never seen anything more clearly for a long time. You have something that belongs to me, you have my daughter.
- Except she’s not your daughter. You and I both know that, Loki. We’ve been through this before I have..
- You have proof, is that what you’re trying to say? She simply can’t be my daughter because I’m sterile, is that what you’re saying brother?
Tom didn’t answer. Loki smiled like a maniac.
Tom knew that he wouldn’t be able to prove him wrong even if he handed him proof in black and white.
- She will se right through you, she knows I’m her father. You know I’m right, Tom said through clenched teeth not quite able to hide what he felt.
- Right? There’s only one way to finish this Tom. Loki laughed long and cold. Tom felt sick.
- Don’t do it.
It was stupid; he should just kill him here and now, so he wouldn’t be able to take another breath. But a part of him still believed that his brother was beyond that cruel man standing right in front of him.
And as Loki reached for his gun, quick as lightning Tom did the same.
They stood in the same position, Loki’s gun pointed at Tom and Tom’s gun pointed in the opposite direction.
- You know how long I’ve been dying to do this, Tom? I think you know. His voice had the odd mix of darkness, pain and pure insanity.
- I think I have a pretty good idea, Tom said playing for time.
- Ever since you stole Katia from me, until this very day. And now I am not only going to take your pathetic life, I am also going to take the one person you love most.
I need to finish this , was the thought that flashed across both brothers’ minds. Before it’s too late.
In one swift moment they both pulled the safety back. Loki looked in Tom’s eyes with pure hatred, and Tom looked back meeting the gaze of the man who once killed his and Gaia’s happiness.
And he saw his daughter more clearly than ever before.
That long blond hair shining like rays of sun, those blue eyes that shimmered like stars whenever she laughed and everything she had inherited from himself and his wife.
It gave him the strength to shoot his brother.
And when Tom shot, so did Loki.

Ok, I don't know if this plot is good or bad or just pathetic, so tell me if I step out of line! ;)

3. TRAGEDY
Her eyes burned as she opened them very slowly. Sunshine was pouring into the room.
Wait a minute, where the hell was she? She silently took in all of her surroundings.
Ok, she was trapped between sheets, when she turned around she found herself staring at the sleeping form of Jake. He looked so peaceful just laying there sleeping.
Gaia smiled as she watched Jake’s even breathing. His eyelids never even fluttered. She blushed slightly as she noticed that he was only wearing boxers and a white ribbed tank, both clearly accenting his generous muscles.
Now it all came back to her, the park, the stabbed girl, her and Jake as they slowly made their way to his place. And even though yesterday was the first time they had kissed , lying next to him like this felt like the most natural thing in the world.
She turned her head, only to find herself looking in the eyes of Jake himself.
- Hey.
- Hey yourself, she whispered.
He tightened both of his arms around her waist pulling her closer, until their bodies were gently touching. She found it really hard to breath, especially since Jake was sliding his strong hands ever so slowly through her hair. It left her breathless. Her hands were around his back.
- So, he said surprising her.
- So
- Are you going to kiss me or not? he smirked
She blushed slightly but smiled just the same.
- You’re really full of yourself aren’t you?
- What, me? he laughed.
- Well, do you see someone else in here?
- Now that I think of it, no he said closing the distance between them. He was smiling that slow smile that she found irresistible.
He pressed his lips against hers, kissing her tenderly and deep. It sent chills down her spine. And her heart was shooting stars.
She really could get use to this. To have him by her side, kissing him, holding his hand and really loving him. Wait a minute, loving him?
Did she really love Jake Montone, she asked herself when she was resting her smaller body against his bigger. She knew the answer of course; it was sort of growing between them.
Yes, she loved him. She loved his eyes, the way he looked, that strong confidence, the way he not only wanted to be there for her but wanting to be the one that protected her.
Not that she couldn’t protect herself, but still – it made her feel special.
She turned her head slightly to meet his eyes, focusing on them and feeling like she was about to fall.
- I love you, she said.
- What was that? he smirked.
- You heard me.
- You’re sure about that? he smiled slightly.
- I. Love. You. Do I have to spell it out for you? she said knowing he was only teasing her, but it made her feel vulnerable. She pulled herself out of his grasp, only to find herself being pulled back into his warm embrace.
- I love you too, Gaia he said looking straight into her eyes.
“This isn’t about a boyfriend/girlfriend deal that we make, this is really about what I feel for you.”
“It’s not an I love you through high school thing. It’s an actual I love you, the kind that makes me want to protect you whenever there’s danger around your corner. I would jump in front of a train for you, just so that you could go on...”
Tears began falling from Gaia’s eyes onto her cheeks.
I want to be there for you whenever you need me to, whenever tragedy is knocking on your door. But more than anything I just want to be with you.”
Gaia turned around to face him, letting him see the tears that were dancing across her cheeks.
- I want to be with you too, and be there for you and depend on you and always having you close.
But when he kissed her, her cell phone rang.
- Damn, she said getting out of the bed looking for the phone while Jake laughed. Finally she located it under the bed and answered.
- Hello.
- Gaia, its Ed. His voice sounded heavy, thick with emotion. They hadn’t really had a really conversation for a long time, in fact they’d barely spoken.
It surprised her that he called, but somewhere she knew that this wasn’t a Hi-how-are-you-let’s-talk conversation. Something had happened. She looked at Jake who raised an eyebrow at her, hands behind his head. She laid her head in his lap, legs tangled up in the sheets. Feeling Jake gently stroking her hair.
Alright, time to focus.
- You need to come to your dad’s place. It’s about your dad and your uncle, Gaia.
- What happened? she asked in a rush. She felt like she was closing in on something she wasn't reday to deal with.
- You need to come down here. She could really feel the desperation in his voice, and she knew that something very serious must have happened.
- Just tell me what’s happened, Ed. Please. She was dreading what he would say next.
It felt really great to talk to the one person she had confided in for god knows how long, but having a real conversation with Ed Fargo because something horrible had happened made her feel bad.
She found herself standing up, Jake doing the same. He looked worried.
- Ok, I don’t know how to tell you all this. I came to your place to sort things out, it doesn’t matter though. But no one opened. And when I opened the door… he didn’t finish.
Gaia felt so weak that she had to lean on Jake for support, he was holding her from behind.
- And then you opened the door…, she asked Ed not knowing if she wanted to hear the rest.
She could hear him taking a deep breath, trying to calm down.
- There was so much blood, G. There was blood everywhere and…
Gaia didn’t hear the rest. She dropped the phone.
And Jake caught her just as she fell.
To be continued ...  :( ;) :o

I thought it was good... but why is everyone always so obsessed over Gaia? I'm taliing about the Tom and Loki part . She's cool, but they should have their own problems too. That's what I always hated about the books...Tom's gonna win right? I think they should both be ok... :hi:
sydney78 - September 15, 2004 05:24 AM (GMT)
Hi! It was really good two chapters, keep going your story.Dont kill either one of them,Tom or Loki..By the way ,I am from Rauma, but I study in Järvenpää right now.
Lady_Montone - September 15, 2004 08:39 AM (GMT)
Hi!
I don't know if I'm gonna kill off one of them or just make them both live!!!!
But I'll see... B)
What do you study in Järvenpää? Is it a special kind of program and how far is it from Rauma?
Lady_Montone - September 15, 2004 12:18 PM (GMT)
Ok, moving on to the fourth chapter.
4. DEATH
The apartment didn’t look anything like an apartment.
Ed had been right, there was blood everywhere. All over the floor and anything that stood in its way, it smelled like death.
What she needed to do was to get to the hospital and making sure that her nightmares hadn’t come true. Even though she didn’t want to she needed to know what had really happened. The CIA had been informed, and they were looking around in the apartment. They were going to give her their own theory of what had happened as soon as they were finished with their work.
She didn’t really know what to believe or what to think.
Nobody had told her anything except Ed. He had found both her dad and uncle unconscious and covered in blood. Ed had been really great putting aside everything just to be there for her. Jake had never left her side, sticking to her like glue. And when Ed had hugged her a little longer than necessary she could se a hint of jealousy in his eyes. It looked to her that he was doing his best to push it away, and that was honestly really cute. She knew she shouldn’t be thinking about things as simple as that but they kept her sane.
Because if she didn’t think about how lucky she was to have a boyfriend that loved her more than anything, and a best friend that wanted her in his life she would think about the thing she’d been trying so hard to push away.
The fact that her dad might die, the fact that she didn’t think she would be able to take that blow.
No matter how strong Ed and Jake could be for her, she knew she was going to break if her dad went to join her mother. She had pushed away her feelings for a long time, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to hold her tears at bay for much longer.
She couldn’t really express it in words what she felt, having them there by her side.
But right now all she could do was stand next to the two people who made her life worth living. All she could do was stare straight ahead seeing nothing, feeling Jake’s arm around her. Standing between them, right there made her feel safe. And she knew it sounded cheesy, pathetic even but it was so damn reassuring that she could stay like that for hours. Not wanting to think about anything, just being.
Ed looked up, and Gaia followed his gaze. An agent was walking towards them looking really weary. Clearly they were done now. Jake tightened his grip pulling her closer.
- Miss Moore? he asked.
- Yes, she nodded.
- We’ve come to the conclusion that there’s been a fight.
No shit, and what was you first clue? The blood?
Gaia didn’t say anything.
- There’s been a fight between your father and Loki. There’s no other way. Both guns were fired more that once, another agent said coming up from behind.
- Do you know if they’re going to make it? she asked, hating how fragile she sounded.
- No, we came after the paramedics had done their job. I’m really sorry.
- Ok, thank you, she found herself saying.
Ed turned to Gaia.
- Loki? Wasn’t he in a coma?
- That’s a long story. But long story short, he got out of it and when he woke he’d taken to his Oliver personality she said looking at him.
- Wait a minute, you don’t know if he’s been Loki all the time just playing with your feelings.
- No, I know he wasn’t but somehow Loki has come back because there’s no way Oliver would shoot dad, she said quietly.
- We don’t know if Loki is back, Jake said thoughtfully.
- Of course he’s back, Jake. How else can you explain that both guns were fired? she looked up at him.
- There could have been plenty of possibilities, he said in a reasonable voice.
- Look Jake, I know you think Oliver is all great and everything, but a few good deeds doesn’t erase the bad ones.
You haven’t seen what he can do to people. You haven’t seen what he’s done to me.
She looked away, not trusting her voice.
Ed looked at Jake not able to hide the transparent dislike in his eyes.
- Gaia, I’m sorry – of course you’re right. I just thought he was Oliver, Jake said taking her hand.
- It’s ok, I mean I thought he had changed. Apparently not, she added as an afterthought.
“I have to go to the hospital”, she said looking at them.
- Sure, we’ll do that, Jake said kissing her lightly.
Ed turned to her as they walked outside the apartment. He looked uncomfortable.
- Gaia, I hate to tell you this but I really got to go. I mean I would come with you…
- Ed, hey chill. Its okay, I mean you’ve been great. I can’t thank you enough.
She kissed his cheek an hugged him.
- Still best friends? He grinned.
- Always, she said smiling weakly.
Walking into the hospital felt weird. She had so many bad memories of hospitals, she didn’t want to add this one to it.
Gaia and Jake walked up to the woman in the information – desk.
- Hello, Gaia said.
- Can I help you? the woman asked her, looking through her glasses.
- I’m here to see my father Tom Moore.
She typed something on her computer.
- Ok, Second floor, Room 5, you’re going to speak to Tom Parker – he will answer all of your questions.
- Thank you she breathed.
Walking in and out of the elevator holding Jake’s hand like it was her life thread, she felt like walking into another world. Everything was so disturbingly quit. The walls were so white that she could almost hear them scream.
They located Room 5 and knocked. A young man opened the door, looking grave.
- Gaia Moore I presume, he said looking at her.
She could only nod.
- I’m Tom Parker, he said shaking her hand.
“Come in and sit down, he said kindly.”
They sat down; Gaia at last grasped the seriousness of the situation. And by the looks Jake gave her, apparently so did he.
- I’m going to be totally frank with you Gaia.
Honesty, that’s good…or bad.“ Both your father’s and uncle’s condition is very grave. We don’t know if the operation is going to be successful or not. They’re in the operating room as we speak. But there’s a chance of total failure. And I don’t want to frighten you but we have reasons to believe that one of them is going to die.”
:( :o  -_- <_<

Ok people, huge update! Maybe not huge...but anyway!
POV T O M
I am drifting of to nothingness, I can feel it. Either it’s nothingness or reality. But my body hurts like hell, like nothing I’ve ever felt before. How could my life become so awfully messed up? I don’t want an answer to that question.
I don’t want to die, leaving my daughter in the most horrible way.
I don’t want Loki to survive either. I know I got some good shots at him. I also know Loki, being Loki got some good shots at me. Too good.
I just want to make it alive out of this.
I don’t want to leave this planet yet, I couldn’t do that to Gaia. I couldn’t destroy her like that. Not when we’d just become a family. A father-daughter family, and Oliver had been there too…or maybe he’s Loki now?
It’s too confusing to think about.
It’s not that I’m scared of dying, I’m not. No, I’m afraid of what it might do to Gaia.
And if both me and Loki survive, what would happen then?
If I die and Loki survives, what the hell is going to happen then?
I can’t even allow myself to think about that.
I can’t imagine that.
That’s why I have to survive. For Gaia.
5. WAITING
- None of them are going to make it, Jake. I can feel it.
Gaia was sitting in the V of Jake’s legs on a bed they’d been allowed to use for the night.
Tom and Loki were still in the operating room. And Gaia didn’t have much positive thoughts left.
- Look, you don’t know that babe.
Babe. That was a word she wouldn’t have let anyone call her. She would have beat that person down to the ground.
But coming from him it sounded so…affectionate, comforting and loving. Like she was his and he was hers. It was kind of cute. He wouldn’t hear her say that of course, but still.
She had to focus now though, she had to believe as Jake kept telling her. But somehow she found it difficult to believe, she had had some bad experience with this believe-thing.
“ The doctor said that there was a possibility that they would both make it just fine,” Jake continued.
- Yeah, that’s a possibility like one in a million. I don’t like being here, she whispered.
“ It reminds me too much of when she died,” she said not knowing if Jake would catch her words.
- Your mom? he asked in an equally low voice.
- Yeah, it was different though. I mean I kind of knew what was going to happen. I just didn’t want to believe it. I couldn’t believe it, she said knowing she was very close to her breaking point.
But she wanted to tell him, she wanted to tell him about the one thing she found hardest to talk about. And it wasn’t like they were going somewhere.
- I know the feeling, he said pulling her even closer.
- When we knew that she really was…gone my world literally fell apart. Black was white, what had always been there was gone. And it was Loki who killed my mom, Jake.
- It’s ok, he said turning her and holding her. "It’s alright".
Gaia felt moist across her cheeks before she knew she was crying. She just wanted him to know.
- And when I…I came to the kitchen, where I knew she was and I…I, she broke down completely and sobbed so hard that her entire body shook.
- Gaia, hey, Ssssh. It’s okay, calm down okay? Jake soothed, rubbing comforting circles across her back.
But she really wanted to tell him, and she wasn’t a quitter.
- I didn’t see her at first, she began calming down. “ But then I saw all the blood, it was all over the kitchen… and then I saw her. She was there. And she was so quiet, so still it was awful. And when we came to the hospital I knew what they were going to say. I knew she was dead. We sat in the waiting room, it felt like forever – waiting for nothing. And then they told us. That she was gone. And dad hugged me, and then he walked out of my life for five years. I know why he did it. But it still hurt, like hell” she finished with one last sob and reaching up to kiss him.
- I didn’t know it was Loki who did that. I mean if I’d known that I’d never…
- I know, Gaia cut him of.
They stayed in silent for awhile.
- Your shirt is all wet, she said noticing all of the wetness on his shirt.
He laughed.
- That doesn’t matter, babe. Really.
- Ok, if you say so.
He laid down on the bed pulling her with him.
- I love you, he said turning to look at her.
- I love you too, she said meeting his lips with hers in a kiss that set her heart on fire.
POV L O K I
The thought that I wasn’t going to make it, never crossed my mind. Until now, I’m not that certain anymore. I don’t know if I’m going to survive. And that’s unacceptable.
Though Tom certainly got what he deserved. But there’s no denying that he isn’t good at what he does, because he is. But I am better. Always have been, always will be. I’m sure that he has greater chances of dying than me.
Which is just the way I want it, but still there’s doubt. What if she really isn’t my daughter and Tom really is telling the truth? I never did check out the Agency file, thinking it was just some fiction of Tom’s.
But what if…
Then again I could also be right, which is probable – that Gaia is mine.
She has my strength for sure, my subtlety – no doubt about it and my brains – of course. Then there’s the fact that a part of Katia seems to be living through her, in every step she take and every single breath.
It’s the perfect combination, Katia and me.
But if she really is Tom’s daughter, if she really is the last remain of the unbelievably pathetic love of Tom and Katia they’re not worth it.
Then they both deserve to die. So if she isn’t mine, if the worst is true then I know what I must do once and for all.
If I survive, and believe me I am going to – then Tom and Gaia are never going to see the sunrise. Ever.
- I’m glad you’re here, Gaia said in the now dark room.
- Me too, I hope everything’s going to work out, Jake said.
- I’m just praying that he is going to be okay. ‘Cause if he doesn’t, I don’t want to think about what will happen if he doesn’t….. She looked at him.
- He’s going to be alright, he’s strong. Just like you, he smiled.
She didn’t really know how to answer that, so she let it fall.
- Do you know when the operation would be done? he asked checking his watch.
- 12pm I think, what time is it?
- 10.30.
- Ok.
- Are you tired? he asked leaning his head in his hand looking down at her.
- Nah, I’m not.
- ‘Cause we can sleep if you want.
- I don’t know, I want to be here when they come with the results, she said quietly.
- Then you can sleep, and I’ll stay awake.
- You’ll stay awake? she asked smiling a smile that reached her eyes.
- Yeah, it’s not like it’s hard, he said.
- Ok, but you’ll wake me when they call for us? she asked, leaning on him.
- Of course.
- Ok, she said closing her eyes and turning her head to kiss him.
- I thought you wanted to sleep? he smirked.
- I do, she said opening her eyes and startled at how close his eyes was to hers. They were so deep and mysterious, and amazing.
“ I just wanted a goodnight kiss, is that to much to ask of Jake Montone?”
- No, of course not he said kissing her back.
- You’ll wake me then, she said already drifting.
- Of course, he smiled.
- Good, that’s good.
She could already feel the heavy irresistible waves of sleep falling down on her.
And while her breathing became even and she slept Jake watched her.
As the clock ticked by, minute by minute he just watched her sleeping. Thinking how beautiful she was lying there, unaware of what was going on outside the door.
If he would be completely honest with himself he didn’t know if he wanted to know. He didn’t want to look in the eyes of death. And how can you protect someone from death? You can’t.
That’s why it was so much easier to stare at his girl.
Looking at her like she was the most precious thing in the world. Like she was the most precious thing in his world. Which of course, she was.
POV J A K E
I don’t think I’ve loved anyone as much as I love her. And that’s telling something.
Even when she cried, I realized that she is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
And she is brave. Braver than anyone I know. I’m not talking about being able to fight like no one else.
I’m talking about facing the worst thing that happened to her, telling me about her mom.
That was really brave.
She allowed her more vulnerable side to shine through, it was like seeing right through her soul. She’s even more beautiful on the inside. If that’s even possible.
And I’m hoping her dad makes it, I really am. Because I know she’s telling me the truth when she says she won’t be able to take it.
Sure she’s strong, but nobody is that strong.
Losing one parent is enough, believe me. I’ve been there, done that.
If he dies, she’s going to close off and I can’t let that happen. I don’t care about Loki. But Gaia’s dad needs to survive.
I’m willing to do anything for her, I am going to protect her from whatever comes her way – without blinking, but I can’t fight death.
And I’m really not good with praying to God. I lost faith a long time ago. But more than anything right now I’m really praying that he will be alright.
Because if he doesn’t live, neither will Gaia.
And if Gaia doesn’t, I won’t – because she’s my for always and I can’t live without her.
It’s as simple as that.
What d'you think! :hi: ? And yes I LOVE Jake!

Who's going to die? Or are they? Find out! Here's the update! Tell me what u think!
6. DEAD OR ALIVE
- Gaia, wake up! Come on, Jakes’s voice sounded so far away.
“Open your eyes.”
- I’m awake, she said looking at him. Behind him were three doctors and two people she didn’t recognize.
This can’t be good.
She sat up and seated herself on the edge of the bed, her legs reaching the floor. She reached for Jake’s hand, which he slipped in his.
- Miss. Moore, we have the results of the operation, a doctor named Phil said consulting his papers.
- Ok, is my dad going to make it?
- The operation was finished just minutes ago. “We have a good reason to believe that the operation was really…
Oh my God here it comes..
successful.”
Gaia let out the breath she didn’t know she’d been holding.
- The real results however directly from the operation, comes in a few hours, then we know for sure, another doctor called Tim said.
- Then you know what exactly? Jake asked.
- Then we know if they’re going to make it without permanent damage.
- And what do you think? Gaia asked, trying to keep the hopefulness out of her voice.
- We don’t want to announce something we don’t know yet. But there’s a fifty- fifty chance now, Phil said stiffly.
- Fifty-Fifty what? She didn’t know if she wanted the truth.
- A fifty chance that they’re both going to make it, they looked at her carefully.
- Or?
- A fifty chance that they’re both going to die, Tim said.
- We’re sorry Miss. Moore, but that’s all the information we’ve got. We’re just passing over information.
Sorry? Yeah right, it not your father lying there dying, is it?
She kept her thoughts to herself.
- We’ll check in with more information later, Phil said looking at her.
- Yeah you do that, was all she could say.
The door closed. They were alone again. Only this time she wasn’t craving for his voice, she didn’t feel like anything.
She just wanted her dad, was that really too much to ask for?
- This is worse, she said to Jake. “ Are we just supposed to sit here and wait until they come with more information? Dead or alive, what’s it gonna be?” She mumbled.
- Look, they wouldn’t have said that the operation was successful if it wasn’t, Jake said reassuringly.
- Yeah, but the also said… she didn’t finish.
- I know, come on let’s go somewhere he said pulling her up.
- Ok, but I want when exactly they’re getting the results.
- Yeah of course, we can ask them. Did you sleep well? He asked looking down at her.
- I don’t know, somehow it just made me more tired. Aren’t you tired?
- No, not much anyway. But we can sleep when we know about their condition. Okay? He kissed her.
- Mmm, ok.
They saw Phil talking to a nurse. He informed them that they would get the results in two hours. They were heading towards the cafeteria that was open for 24 hours.
They sat across from each other holding hands, drinking coffee.
Not talking, not kissing, just being together drinking coffee.
And all she could think about was how much she loved him. He had absolutely given her everything, putting down his soul just to make sure she was alright-emotionally.
And that meant the world to her.
- Thank you, she said taking his other hand.
- For what?
- For, I don’t know…being here with me. Helping me through all this stuff, she looked at their hands.
He gently tipped her chin up so she would meet his eyes.
- There’s nowhere else I’d rather be, than right here with you.
She just wanted to throw herself at him, for those words. He had a way that made her whole world fall apart. To make everything alright.
So since she couldn’t possibly come up with a good answer to that, she ignored all the people staring and bent forward and kissed him, long.
Well back at the Second Floor they met the doctors.
They were looking through some of their papers. When they saw them, they exchanged a look.
Not a good sign.
- Miss. Moore, we have the results now. Do you want to sit? It was another doctor who spoke.
- I’m fine standing. Tell me now, she said trying to sound confident but failing.
- Ok, the operation went better than we could have hoped for. Both your dad and uncle are going to survive. That we know for sure.
Thank God.
- They both have some really nasty wounds that needs healing, so they might have to stay for a few days.
- But they’re going to be ok? she asked.
- Yes, we know you’re concerned. But it’s very important that we keep them here for a couple of nights to see how they’re recovering.
- What happens if they don’t recover? she asked.
- Don’t worry they will, Tim said.
- Ok, so no permanent damage?
- No permanent damage.
- When can I see him?
- That will have to wait until later I’m afraid. They’re under heavy sedation now. I would be very surprised if either of them woke up until tomorrow.
- I want to see him anyway, Gaia said determinedly.
- Normally we don’t let visitors see the patients who’ve just been through a surgery. But we’re willing to make exceptions, Tim said smiling tiredly. “ Just don’t stay too long there, ok?
- Ok, than you. I just want to see him, Gaia smiled.
- Right, the Recovery Wing is at the Fifth Floor, he checked his papers, “you’re dad’s lying in R.W 2. “
- Thank you.
He heart felt so light, she didn’t know what a heavy load she’d been taking.
- See, that’s good news babe, Jake said smiling too.
Following the arrows that led down a dark hall they finally located R. W 2.
Jake squeezed her hand when they entered the room.
There were, all in all ten beds in the room. She saw her dad instantly. He was in the last bed from where they were standing. The room was slightly decorated and didn’t look like it quite belonged in a hospital. The walls were in bright colours, there were couches and tables with chairs. But the beds looked more comfortable, and that was good.
She walked over to her dad sitting down on a chair that stood close to it. Jake did the same.
She looked at her father, at the tubes hooked on to him making it easier to breath.
But for being on the edge of dying he looked quite good, he looked alright even. Even if he was a littler pale. Then again she hadn’t seen his wounds.
Liquid came into his blood by another tube.
She took his hand in hers and looked at him. She was so happy that this hadn’t turned out as a reminder of how her mother died.
She laid her head on the bed closing her eyes. She started to nod off.
Jake stood up.
- Gaia?
“ Gaia, babe, come on you can’t sleep here,” he said pulling a few loose strings of hair behind her ear.
- Gaia don’t tell me you’re asleep, he said more to himself.
- Mmm, she mumbled.
- Come on, we weren’t even supposed to be here.
- I’m too tired.
He pulled her out of the bed and she linked her arms around his neck, lips crushing agains his.
And like it was the most natural thing in the world, he put his arms around her back hauling her off the floor and carried her out of the room.

Hey, this is a short update, but the other part comes soon so don't worry! I just haven't really had time to write so much...considering.. well anyway here it is!
7. IN HER EYES Part One
Ed Fargo was looking out of the window. Sighing.
He felt really sorry for her, always having something dangerous hanging over her.
But Gaia and Jake were true and he had learned to accept it. That they were true.
That he would never going to be her boyfriend, kissing her, holding her, being with her 24/7.
He had accepted that. She was his best friend, and they were closer than anybody else. In some ways they were even closer than Gaia and Jake. He had gone through more with her.
But he didn’t love her like that anymore. Right?
Bullshit. That was just bullshit. ‘Cause if he didn’t love her anymore then why did his heart ache every time he saw her. Why was it that he found himself falling in love all over again when she laughed, that every inch of his soul was still loving her even though he should be hating her.
Because she was Gaia Moore, and there was only one Gaia Moore in this world. She was more than unique.
And that made her irresistible, that beautiful-without-even-trying look took his breath away.
He knew he would forgive her for anything, just to be able to be with her.
But she had already given her heart away. To Jake.
But if there was going to be the tiniest crack in there relationship, Ed would be there.
If there was going to be one ridiculous fight he was going to be there.
So what if she would break his heart one more time. It would be worth if only for one single kiss.
Gaia was standing in the middle of the room of the Second Floor. Jake stood beside her talking to his dad in his cell phone. He was telling him where they were. She didn’t really listen, she kept staring at the elevators opening and closing.
It was early in the morning; she and Jake had woken up in each others arms. Or rather, Jake was curled around her, and she didn’t mind.
But she felt guilty because she wanted to be next to her father when he woke up. And she didn’t know what exactly was going on in the mind of Loki.
They were going to move her dad from the Recovery Wing and she still wasn’t sure of where he would be put. It was frustrating.
The sound of an elevator reaching the Second Floor reached her ears and she looked up.
Staring into the brown eyes of Ed Fargo.
God, he really had timing.
Not that she didn’t want to be with Jake, she did. She could stay up with him through every night, never getting bored. She could kiss him forever without ever loosing the spark.
And then it was the fact that she could sit next to him not saying a word and he would understand every emotion passing through her body.
But one fact remained; no one could ever replace Ed Fargo.
No one had that special ability to make her laugh like he did. No one was as sweet and gentle like Ed. He was an extremely important person in her life, and right now she was very happy to see him.
He was her best friend and he always would be.
And that made her stronger.
