Title: On his way to Lothlorian
Wing Healer - July 29, 2003 10:53 PM (GMT)
Firehart Winghealer moved through the forest silently. He was wearing a cloak with a hood that he kept up constantly. He looked behind him and saw no one. He knew he was coming upon lothlorian and hoped he could find peace there for a while.
Hefelt for his bow and felt comfort as he found it. He was not tired, for he had found a prtected place to sleep last night but he needed somewhere where he had no need to worry for a while.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 11:55 AM (GMT)
Lostsule had travelled to many places in her search for healing and remedies. She bent over, opening her leather herb pouch to collect some leaves of Eklandir, when she heard a rustle, and a crunch of leaves underfoot. She was not alone. Unsheathing the Star Dagger, which glinted keenly in the shafts of morning light, she wheeled round, facing the source of the disturbance.
"Who goes there?" she cried, "Show yourself!"
Lostsule was not one to start a fight, but if she felt that her life was in danger, well that was another matter. The Elf Maid stared through the shadowy trees, her hazel eyes searching for the source of the disturbance...
Nimien - July 30, 2003 12:35 PM (GMT)
Nimien was up in one of the majestic mallorn trees. As she heard elves moving below, she looked down cautiosly. On one side of the tree she saw a young man, a mortal, shethink, although a kindly looking one. On the other side there was an Elf Maiden that looked rather spooked.
They had woken her up. She yawned, stretched, and leapt down. As there was no danger about, she worried not about a soft landing and made a brilliant crashing noise into the fallen leaves.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 12:58 PM (GMT)
Lostsule jumped at the crashing noise that had broken the silence. A cat of silvery white colour had just jumped down into the sheet of fallen leaves that covered the ground. Lostsule frowned and looked up towards the tree canopy. Where on earth had this cat come from? Forgetting completely about the disturbance that had so easily caught her attention, she sheathed her dagger and knelt down before the cat, stroking its soft head. "What are you doing here, little one? You seem to have fallen from the sky..."
Nimien - July 30, 2003 01:02 PM (GMT)
Nimien looked up at the elfin girl, dark blue eyes shining like lamps hiddin under layers of blue darkness but still bright. She was normally not very nice to people, but she liked this elven girl. Maybe she liked all elves. She didnt know. This one was the first she had met.
She purred and rubbed against the girls hand.
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 05:26 PM (GMT)
Firehart stepped towards the noise he had heard caustiously. When he saw it was a girl and a cat he sighed. He smiled and spook very suddenly, before anyone had even looked up, "Excuse me my lady, do you know where lothlorien is?" He asked slowly, hoping he could trust these people.
His hair was down and very messy. His eyes were blue green and looking at the mysterious girl. He had his cloak wrapped tightly around him and he looked rather nervous and jumpy.
Nimien - July 30, 2003 07:56 PM (GMT)
Every nerve in Nimiens body stood high as she sensed a mortal approaching. Stiffly turning to look at the individual, she realised with small relief that it was the man she had seen from the tree.
He seemed nice enough, but most of her instincts and experiance told her humans were bad news. She stuggled between fleeing and greeting...
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 08:30 PM (GMT)
The boy looked at the silvery cat with the girl. It seemed kinda scared and ready to run. He lowered his self onto one knee and held out his hand tentivly. He liked animals to trust him and when they didn't it made him rather jumpy. He forced a smile for the creature, hoping that it would learn to trust him. He looked up at the girl and held out his hand to her, "I am Firehart, Firehart Winghealer. And you are?" He asked, trying to make a good impression.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 08:30 PM (GMT)
Lostsule liked this cat, it seemed friendly. Remembering the disturbance in the trees, she straightened up, her eyes meeting that of the new stranger, and she took his hand.
"I am Lostsule Ancalimon. You are in Lothlorien, my Lord. Do you wish to see the Lady Galadriel?" she said, her kind gaze searching his rugged features. I can take you to her, if that is your wish?"
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 08:37 PM (GMT)
Firehart shrugged, "I am not really sure who I need to talk to. I was thinking of resting here because I heard it was safe and I have never really met with any race other then men such as myself and gryphons. I was hoping to learn of other races as I travled." He replyed honestly.
"Do you know who I need to talk too?" He asked, his blue green eyes meeting her hazel ones.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 08:41 PM (GMT)
Lostsule smiled gently and bowed to him. "Well, Firehart, you have found Caras Galadhon it seems, the home of the Elves. I will be more than happy to find you a resting place, where you may stay for as long as you see fit." she paused. Long had it been since she set eyes upon any mortal man.
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 08:49 PM (GMT)
Firehart said, "Thank you Lostsule." He smiled and ran his hand through his hair. He was excited, for he had never seen an elf havan. He had never been anywhere that had anything other that gryphons or humans and here he was about to walk into a place stuffed full of elves. He smiled, peace at last.
He was watching her, waiting for her, when he saw the herb pouch. He had not been expecting to see a fellow healer, although he should have been, and he was startled. "Are you a healer?" He said without thinking about it. The question just blurting out.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 08:53 PM (GMT)
Lostsule's smile widened. "Why yes, I am. And have been for many years. I do not like war, I hate destruction and death, that is why I chose this path... You are a healer also?" she was just guessing, but he had that aura about him... Perhaps there was more to this man, underneath those warrior-like layers...
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 08:58 PM (GMT)
"Yes, I am. I have basic knowlage of most healing but I can heal a gryphon of most anything. I am what they call a Trondi-irn." He said, grinning now.
He loved meeting other healers, people who felt the same about warfare as he did. "I have a new respect for you already." he said, bowing. He looked up and was smiling.
Lostsule - July 30, 2003 09:05 PM (GMT)
A Trondi-irn... Lostsule had heard of them before. "And I have gained a new respect for you, my friend!" she laughed. Her heart felt merrier somehow. "Come now, I will show you to your resting place" she said, beginning to weave her way through the tall mallorns. "And on the way, you can tell me about yourself..."
Wing Healer - July 30, 2003 09:14 PM (GMT)
Firehart chuckled, "Only If you promise to tell me something about yourself."
He smiled as he started talking, "Well, lets see. I grew up on a small farm in Rohan. I had three brothers and a sister, they are all still in Rohan but I decided to travle and I have gone from there to here so far." He paused for a second then continued, "I am nineteen years old, I have healing magic and empathy, and I love gryphons and anything like them." He finished.
"So now, tell me somthing about yourself."
Nimien - July 30, 2003 11:32 PM (GMT)
Nimien ran behind the elf that had petted her. She felt comfertable with these people and was now bounding behind them in the golden leaves. Anyone who saw her now would never guess that she had great stealth when the need arose, for she made such tremendous crashing noises with every leap and bound.
Lostsule - July 31, 2003 05:30 PM (GMT)
Lostsule's face fell slightly. The details of her own life were something she tended to keep tightly under wraps. Remembering the cat trotting her, she stopped for a moment, and picked the animal up. She had already grown quite fond of it. Telume she would call it, Heaven for the time being, until she learnt its true name. Catching up with her young Rohirrim companion, she began to speak, although unwillingly. "My name is Lostsule, my Lord. I was raised in Rivendell, until my father passed through the Grey Havens. I moved with my mother and sister here, to fair Lorien, where I have lived ever since. But they also have passed away..." Lostsule stopped. She felt that she had said too much already, and could not relate to this friendly stranger the murder of her family. "I am afraid there is nothing more to tell" she whispered.
Nimien - July 31, 2003 10:22 PM (GMT)
Nimien was suddenly picked up. She hadnt been picked up for many, many years, and had almost forgotten about it. Was it a sign that she had been taking captive, or was it of affection? Did they think she was tired or were they taking her somewhere by force?
She might have freaked and struggled, but the people didnt seem to be emitting negative emotions. She figured it was either her second or third guess. So she relaxed. She even purred slightly, something she rarely did nowadays.
Anguirel - August 16, 2003 12:50 PM (GMT)
Anguirel watched this from her perch in a mallorn tree. Who wasn't spying on people from mallorn trees? Anguirel smiled as she watched the friendly encounter.
She knew this girl, Lostsule, was that it? She couldn't remember, she saw her rarely. But why was she with...a mortal?! She snorted and quickly covered her mouth, that was a little too loud, she concluded.

I'm back from holiday! Finally I can start RPing again! And it's great to see you Li! *hugs*

Lostsule began to absent-mindedly scratch Telume gently behind the ears. There was a small silence, though not uncomfortable, as she waited for the man of Rohan at her side to speak. However, a small rasping noise, that sounded for all the world like a couch or a snort, echoed softly through the trees. If Lostsule had not been cradling Telume, she would have reached for her dagger. But in this case, she proceeded with caution...

Sry i didn't post! really big writers block but now I must overcome it! lol here goes

Firehart was silent for he didn't know what he could say to that. He pondered the situation, trying to find something to say but he could think of nothing. He felt lostsule tense up beside him and he wondered why because he had been too deep in his own thought to hear anytyhing. He looked around wondering why she was seemingly on alert. he felt for his bow, hidden under his cloak he feel slightly reassured.
"I am sorry lostsule for I did not know. I am slightly confused now as to why you seem to have gone on alert." He whispered. He was surprised for he had not meant to but that was how it came out. He gave a disconserted look around and then looked back at lostsule.
Anguirel - August 17, 2003 07:29 PM (GMT)
OOC- *Glomps G!* G! I've missed you, and I finally got the nerve to start RPing...only to remember you went to France.... ah well
IC
Anguirel rolled her eyes. This mortal couldn't hear her, that much was obvious. Should she show herself? Maybe, but this mortal.....Anguirel didn't know if he was friend or foe, but Lostsule let him. Anguirel narrowed her eyes and jumped down from her haven, landing behind them on her feet with a soft thud.
Wing Healer - August 17, 2003 07:38 PM (GMT)
Firehart spun around, surprised to see a golden haired elf behind them. His eyes widened as he stood there in slight shock. Then he said, "Who are you?" not letting his nervousness find its way into his voice.
He examined her carefully. She was wearing dark that contrasted her white skin. She had a pair of high black boots and a sword at her side. That in its self made him nervous for he only had a bow, unstrung at that.
Anguirel - August 17, 2003 11:41 PM (GMT)
Anguirel narrowed her eyes at the mortal(OOC Once again! ), but ignored him. She turned to Lostsule instead.
"You know well, wood-elf, the laws of this land. No mortal is to pass unless he is friend." She spoke in Sindarin, and cared not if this mortal could understand the language of the Avari.

*Schnoogle-Glomps Li* Li, I've missed you muchly too! Keep up your fantastic RPing though, you're doing really well! *nod nod* :)

Lostsule gazed at the she-elf, a small, amused smile threatening to creep upon her lips. "I hope for your own sake that you have not been spying on the innocent again, Anguirel," she said in Sindarin, for she knew the young elf well, "Be they Elf or Human. This is a man of Rohan, a healer like myself. He is a friend and you should treat him with respect."
Lostsule relaxed, no longer wishing to reach for her dagger. She was confident that Anguirel posed no threat to them.
Nimien - August 18, 2003 08:02 PM (GMT)
Nimien looked up at this Anguirel with brighit blue eyes wide. Somehow she didnt like this elf... perhaps it was that, since Beruthial had been a mortal, Anguirel wouldnt have trusted her so Nimien wouldnt trust Anguirel.
But she felt safe with the elf girl that was holding her, so she put down her gaurd somewhat.
Anguirel - August 19, 2003 12:36 AM (GMT)
Anguirel was slightly taken aback by the wood-elf's bold words, though she showed it in only a flicker of a smile.
"You would do well to remember your place, young one. For you forget who you speak with." She changed from the Sinadrin tongue to the Common Speech. "For a servant you set your words above your station, healer."
Anguirel took another glance at the mortal before she spoke. "I will speak with the Lady about the guards, they seem to be lacking in their area."
OOC Sorry I'm being such a jerk, I'm really nice in RL.
Nimien - August 19, 2003 01:01 AM (GMT)
Nimien arched her back slightly. She understood almost none of any sentient language, but was a good judge of feelings, and could see negative emotions holding the forest still enough to here a pin drop. She liked this Lostsule. And this Anguiril did not. So Nimien did not like Anguiril. Nimien hissed at her.
Anguirel - August 23, 2003 12:02 AM (GMT)
Anguirel glared at the cat. "Tame your beasts, wood-elf." Anguirel turned and started deeper in the woods and called back. "A place as fair as Lothlorien could do without mortals."
OOC Anguirel is harsh and Lily is running away from her! Where is Firehart? ::lip begins to quiver:: Don't leave us!
Lostsule - August 23, 2003 11:11 AM (GMT)
Lostsule narrowed her eyes at Anguirel. It was one thing to insult her, but to insult an innocent beast who had done nothing wrong...
Speaking also in the Common tongue, she replied; "You think me a mere servant? The time you have spent in Lorien has clearly clouded your sight, Anguirel. Who is it who travels with armies innumerable and heals their hurts, and saves them from death? Who has spent most of her life learning the lore of plants and herbs, creating remedies so that others may live? 'Tis I. I would very much like to see you practise the craft that has taken me 1000 years to perfect, my lady. Do not be so quick to pass judgement on those of whom you know little."
And with these words, Lostsule carried on through the forest, brushing past Anguirel as she went. She cared not wether she followed, and she had almost forgotten that Wing Healer had stood beside her. She could not believe the ignorance of the young elfess.
Wing Healer - August 23, 2003 07:46 PM (GMT)
Firehart understood only half of the convorsation and the parts he could understand told him that he was causing some sort of dispute. He looked at Lostsule as she made her short speech silently agreeded with her, for though he was not as nearly as experianced as she was, he had spent his whole life learning his trade.
He walked on after Lostsule, who had continued through the forest, wondering what the rest of the conversation had held. He quickly pushed aside the thought.
"Who was that, Lostsule?" He asked, his voice not very loud, though he did not sound scared.
Anguirel - August 24, 2003 05:52 AM (GMT)
Anguirel glanced behind her. Lostsule was leaving with a quick pace and the mortal followed close behind, he asked the wood-elf who she was.
Anguirel chuckled and placed her hand on the hilt of her sword. If she were her father or her brother she would have slain the mortal. But then again, she wasn't her father, or her brother. She decided she would go to Caras Galadon, perhaps the merry making already begun, since the sun was setting rapidly.
Anguirel walked towards the direction of her cousin's city.
Lostsule - August 24, 2003 02:55 PM (GMT)
As Lostsule walked on, she noticed Anguirel leaving in another direction, towards Caras Galadhon, the very same place that she, Wing Healer and Nimien were headed. Perhaps she would take a different entrance. Sighing deeply, Lostsule turned with a small smile to Wing Healer.
"That was Anguirel Lomiel. She understands little of mortal ways, and has a warrior's spirit. Pay no heed to her. We are approaching Caras Galadhon, and the house of Celeborn and Galadriel. I am sure that the Elves of Lorien will welcome you more kindly."
