Title: Lost and now to Edoras
Description: the returning saga

Luna slowed her horse down when Ronyo started to breathe heavily. Both she and Etain had rode for most of the day towards the direction of Edoras. But they had still not seen a sign of the city. Just as she decided that she should ask if they should stop for now, since the sun had started setting, she caught sight of something glinting in the fading light. Something big, but not moving. Curiousity got the hold of her senses, but she still needed to know if Etain wanted to continue. “Etain, I think I see something shining in the distance, over there,” she said wearily as she pointed northwards, where the shine still shone from. Continuing, she added, “and I’m not sure if we should stop for now or not. Is that Edoras or should we camp for the night?”

((ooc: I'm sorry it took me so long to post! I've been really busy lately.))

Etain looked over to where Luna had pointed. She nodded, a broad smile on her face as she saw the golden hall. "There is no need to stop for the night," she said, smiling, "that's Edoras alright." Sadbh had noticed it too, and seemed to perk up at the sight of the city. Both of them had forgotten their weariness from the trip at the sight of their home.

(OOC: That’s ok. I understand.)
Luna smiled at this prospect. A real bed and meal tonight! She was excited, and so were Ronyo and Briar, too. This meant at least a good rub down and oats for him to eat. Briar would be able to have almost all the chicken he wanted, too. With mouths and hearts lightened, they all set off down the hill for Edoras.
Luna looked back at Etain. She did seem happy, but she may be unhappy at this turn of events. But why? “If you want, I could try to take off most of the weight of grounded. I don’t know what to say, but I won’t be saying that I kidnapped you. Did you run away because of the court?” she asked questionally at her. She did hope Etain would feel better.

Etain nodded her head. "Yes," she said, "I ran away because of the court. My father wants me to get married, and I was so upset about it, I decided to run away. It's not the first time I've done it though. My father and I never really got along well with each other." She didn't want to see Luna take the blame for something that wasn't her fault. "But I'm sure we'll sort it out sooner or later." She added, to reassure Luna. She saw the city gaurd come towards them as they had done each time she had come back from another one of her adventures. "Mi'lady," he said in a rather bored voice, "your father wishes to speak with you." Etain nodded at him as she had always done, and looked at Luna, smiling to reassure her.

Luna raised her eyebrows a little. So this was the reason why she had ran away. She understood that governing cities were really hard jobs, but this action didn’t seem like what anyone would do. As the guards came, she hoped Etain would survive this new onslaught from her parents. After they had been checked by the guards, they led them towards the gates of the city.

Luna’s eyes openned ever wider as they rode on. It was a magnificent city, or at least bigger than she had ever seen before. There were block after block of buildings, almost as huge as towers. The city also had a good view at the outside world. No wonder Etain wanted to run away, with this fantastic view!, she thought thoughtfully to herself. As they neared the middle of the city, where the palace probably was, one of the guards stopped suddenly and barred Ronyo’s path. He reared up, to keep from stomping on the small, greasy-haired guard. As soon as she quieted him, she looked back down at the blocker. He only looked back boredly as before. “You are not to come any closer to the high-borns. For now, you are to go to the guest houses and inns. Maybe the Lord will ask you to come before him and explain how you came to know Lady Etain.” he scornfully said as he started to lead Ronyo to another street. She looked back at Etain and tried to give her a reassuring look. But in the pit of her stomach, she worried if she’d ever be able to live while she was at Edoras.

The guard continued to lead all three of them onwards, further away from the center. When they finally stopped, they were in front of a tall, gloomy building. “Hope you have a pleasant night...,” he muttered as he walked away for the next shift of his watch. Luna looked snidely at the retreating back of the man. He was certainly mean, but it could have been because of his late watch. She quickly stepped off Ronyo and led him into the stable. Seeing that there was no stableboy for this work, she led him into a nearby, stinky stable, took off his saddle, and groomed him. Afterwards she went to the main room of the inn, paid for her room, and set off to it as Briar followed with a scornful look at all the other occupants. Once inside her room, she looked at the furnishings angrily. It was
not fit for a traveler. It was gloomy, dark, full of unseen holes, and had strange black spots here and there. The only thing good about it was that the bed was clean and soft, plus that the window looked over the buildings to the fields. It wasa going to be a long hardship just living here!

((ooc: umm, my character is actually a lady, not a princess. And her father is a lord. Could you please edit you post? Sorry about that!))

(OOC: Sorry, too. Thanks for telling me.)

((ooc: You're welcome.))

Etain made her way to her father's house, wondering if everything would go smoothly. At least she would try to get Luna out of the guest houses and inns. She took Sadbh to the stables first, and then went to her home. A serving woman approached her as she entered the building, and gave her clean clothes to change into. Etain was going to everything she could to insure that her father would listen to. And if she did everything the way a young woman was supposed to, perhaps her father would be more willing to listen to her. After she changed, Rtain went to the door of her father's office, and knocked on it, hoping that everything would work out.
