i've only heard good things about megajolt.

My mate had one on is pinto powered car, got a great spark from the coil packs.

Theres probley quite a few xflow maps about now, also should be able to find a trigger wheel fairly easy.

I have bought one from the states as a kit and have 3/4 fitted it to my pinto engined S3. Building the board is easy and it came very quickly from the US.

The main pain (at least on a pinto) is fitting some form of bracket to hold the trigger as the brackets that fit Robin Hoods (there are some nice laser cut ones on the web) hits the steering rack mounting plates.

Mounting the trigger wheel on the pinto can also be a bit of a pain I ended up fixing it with eight m4 evenly spaced countersinks using dividing head borrowed from work.

I cut down a spare dizzy and fitted an oolite bush to the top end of the shaft so the oil pump will still run ;) . Getting the best HT leads was a bit of a pain and ended up in Halfords looking through all the boxes until I found some of suitable length. You can get adapters but they looked pretty crap.

Hopefully should be running in the next week or two (opps there goes the summer!)

An Aldon distributor should be good on the engine the flat spot is probably carb/fuel related on the progression stage - blocked jets maybe or idle jets to small

Megajolt may be long way to find out that the flat spot is still there so I would make sure that carbs are 100% right first.

What type of ignition is used in the dizzy? - Lunimition/ Aldon Igniter/ points?

Cheers

Andrew
