Title: Stoneleigh
Description: In two minds....

Andy S - April 29, 2008 04:36 PM (GMT)

If it is dry, it looks like I may be parked up on the Westfield stand in the SE as there is no chance of the B+ being ready - Long way to go yet.

Although to be completely honest with fuel the way it is it will be cheaper for me to drive the diesel there and pay to get in and then spend the rest of the money saved on parts for the B+ .......... Bar Humbug

The weather will be the deciding factor though.

Anyone else thinking of making the trip?

Or making a list of reasons not to like me ;)

I will be camping with the RHOCAR lads from Saturday till Monday.
Will be parking the indy on the MK stand.

Only £5.00 to camp all weekend if you are in a kit car
or free if you are just there for the day in a kit car.
I think it is £12.00 at the gate for adults ...£4for kids

Will look out for you Andrew

Its over a 300mile round trip for me and no kit on the road, its better for me to work on the car and save a bit of cash !!!

Maybe next year, never done stoneleigh and its meant to be the one to go to !!

Well......If the S1 is ready i shall probably go, unless it is either monsoon or snowing, been several times in past, its very good, esp the club stands. I have always been by kit car though, the tin box queues can be awesome! P.s. posted some pics of my S1 on here somewhere.....almost ready for MOT!

Im aiming to be there on Saturday, and camp through to Monday.
I have just perused the BBC weather website though, and it looks a bit 50/50 on saturday and almost definatley raining on Sunday...
Monday MAY be ok.. :)
Hoping the Mrs will come along in the Lotus Elite as well... to take the strain off of my suspension from all the camping gear..

Hope to see you there

After waking up this morning or should I say being woke up by a thunderstorm  and it still rumbling on now I will be giving Stoneleigh a miss today.

Serves me right for fitting an Aeroscreen to the Westy yesterday.

I hope that it doesn't dampen the event for those that make the effort today.

Back to the garage for some tidying up.

Andrew
