Title: Melos Project
Description: What have we let ourselves in for?

nickburt - December 24, 2007 02:01 AM (GMT)
Just thought I'd say hello and post a link to our new website.

Picked up a Melos today and my son James (9) has already decided on some of the things that need doing

Not sure how long or when we'll get on with it, but he's as keen as mustard to get stuck in. Guess I'm going to have to make a space for him a corner of the workshop. :o

Our Melos website

Drop by and say hello :D

I'll be around here and on the Club message board, no doubt, looking for bits and bobs and help/advice etc...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Nick.

Welcome to the board and good luck with the rebuild - Oh and to add to your Son's wish list on the Melos it may be worth bearing in mind that the Melos will easily take the 3.0L Ford V6 as it was a standard engine fitment for the model and there are quite a few out there.

Thanks for the reply.

I was quietly wondering about a bigger engine.
There's an Essex 3.0 sitting in the back of the workshop ................

Hi and welcome :)

A few hours work ahead, he might be old enough to drive it when its done ;)

Its nice to see the younger one taking a interest, my 9 yr old daughter wanted to help me with the Legerra but has lost interest at the moment (might be different when it starts looking shiny !!)

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully it won't take 8 years to finish though !!!

He's been photographing everything today - emptied the boxes of bits all over the workshop floor, sorted it all (with a bit of help  ) and has now commandeered some shelf space in the store

Now he's nagging to get on with it on Boxing Day - young enthusiasm

He wants it on the road for the summer :o And DEFINITELY in time for the NEC Classic Car Show in November - says we can put it on the trailer and tow it down there behind whichever Granada we're showing :ph43r:

Finger out time
