Hello all, my S2 project is finally at the stage where I need the front springs fitting. Does anyone know if you can get the triumph springs readymade at the correct length rather than cutting some down. I suppose cutting them alters the characteristics? I havent had the chance to check the diameter to see if they are just standard 2.25", just wondered what others have done with theirs?

Most people throw them away and fit aftermarket adustable coilovers so they can get access to the hundreds of cheap stock 1.9 or 2.25 springs - Triumph springs are near 2.75.

Two of my previous cars were fitted with Spax adjustables specifically for the Triumph so it would have been easy enough just to buy platforms to suit the other size of spring had i not replaced them anyway.

I had shorter uprated Tiumph springs on my old Spitfire - it may be worth getting in touch with someone like Jigsaw or a Triumph tuning specialist to see whats currently available if you want to go that way - personally I would use what I had and then save up for some good 1.9 coilovers.
