Title: 5-links.
Description: Design

Over the next few months I'llbe stripping my S4, and while it's apart it seems criminal not to 5-link it. - I've seen a lot of different designs of 5-link, some with vertical shocks, some which just replace the angled shocks.

How long are the links if they go forward to the main chassis rail? Do escort ones fit? - Thinking about rally design - http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/produ...roducts_id=4300

Anyone used standard length escort 4-link arms, or has everyone had to make do and get custom ones?

Seriously wondered if this was the cheapest way of buying the brackets/arms/rod ends... http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/catalog/produ...roducts_id=4298 Just cut down the steelwork a bit?

Picture of the 5 link that was on my old S3 - I believe that this is pretty much the standard 5 link system that was an option that you can see details of in the S3/4 build manual.

I am also pretty sure that there is a link on the DOC site or one of the links on our home page that goes to a site that used the stock RD Escort sytem.

Looks pretty simple and neat to me. I've seen some where both arms are located on the bottom chassis rail, but your's looks like the arms are more parallel.

Definitely going down this route - and like that solution best...

Hi on my S3 the previous owner has gone for a box arrangement the shocks are 7 inch and the 5 link is as per Andys. I could give you the lengths for an S1 but they are probablly different. Note the use of tape!!!
