Title: The Other Dutton
Description: Phaeton Series 3

Barry-1 - September 9, 2007 12:28 PM (GMT)
Hi all just posted some pictures of my latest Dutton now that its back on the road after having its engine mounting and sump fixed. The same car feature on the front page of Dutton Torque No 90.

Its been fitted with a 5 link rear and a fairly standard 2L pinto with capri rear axle & lsd.

Its been great fun driving it but has slowed down the rebuild of the S1 and its quite tempting to put the V8 in from the S1 over winter.

Safe driving

Barry

Looks good M8,would be interested on the mods of fitting spare wheel to back, sketch or pics toying with the idea or putting fuel tank in boot and mounting under neath altho this will make the small boot even smaller, anything you can tell me greatly appreciated

I will take some pictures and make a sketch. The cars mainly the work of previous owners. I think at sometime the spare may have been in the boot as its got a non standard tank lashup with a much bigger tank recess than normal.

The L section mounting onto the rear cross member could be better as having stick welded Dutton chassis members they are rather thin!!
