Title: My Phaeton S3

SASKY - August 16, 2007 11:01 PM (GMT)
Well i decided to sell the S2 due to it being a bit small for me, and i had found an S3 with a V5 so no SVA!!!

Well since buyin it there have been a few changes

engine swapped from 1.3 crossflow to dolomite sprint
Full Polybushes
Single leaf springs
Westfield Cream Seats
Ford Capri 2.8i 7 Spoke alloys
Custom Prop
Pacet fan off a Cosworth

Also the chassis has had to be altered quite a bit to take the engine and strengthening.

chassis is now painted and body tub sat on, got few bits to sort out before i start to tackle the wiring, dials and interior. also lots of bits to buy off ebay. but at this rate she will be up and running all painted in time for Kitcar show at stoneleigh next year.

More pics will be added weekly as i get bits done

Thats looking good so far.

Intersting hat you have gone for Dolly Sprint engine, and i see you have some Webers for it. Should fly.

I assume you will be doing a disc brake conversion on the front at least, to stop it again.

Good work, keep at it :)

yea got mk2 rs1600 front discs and calipers. considering putting spacers in to run vented discs which r grooved. other option is just to stick with solids but grooved and drilled. i know will be taking a bit of a battering around tracks and at weekends. yea chose dolly sprint as i wanted 2 litres and some poke. other option was a pinto but felt the dolly was just that little bit different.
