:D :D :D Thanks!!!

Its good when you've finally finished a build when you hear things like that, makes it all worthwhile!

To be honest, i haven't really driven it properly yet, however, it should be better than my hood as far as handling goes, just about anything performs better than sliding pillars!
I'll let you know after i've given it a good thrashing!

Ill put some more pictures up as soon as my brother gets back with his phone camera, as my digital one has well and truely packed up now, something to add to my x-mas list i think!

Unfortunatly i'm going to be selling it in a few weeks :( I've just bought a Robin Hood 2B part built off ebay and i just dont have the room for 3 kit cars or the money to let me! So look out for it on ebay!

Thanks, Andy

Very nice Sir!

Just about to paint mine but may consider converting the front wings!

Once you get a camera sorted could you post a pic of the mountings?

Cheers,

Mick.

Only just noticed that you are going to sell it!

If you can't get a camera before you do give me a shout as I'm only an hours (sorry Mr plod I meant 2 hours!) drive away, will take some pics you can use on flea bay in return for a good butchers at the cycle wings!

Cheers mate,

PM sent ;)

Fair amount of work done there Andy, it looks good not overdone like a lot tend to end up.

Wings are B type swept/clam shell wings mut - not cycles - and if the front end on Andy's car is standard S3 Escort derived then it would not be much use to your Triumph set up.

Selling already!! - another project on the go?

Cheers

Andrew

Thanks Andrew,

I thought they looked different to the cycle wings on fleabay, couple of questions:

1) Have you ever seen them mounted on a S1?

2) Is there any where I could buy a pair (I can't get any response from Oak's)

Many thanks,

Mick.

Hi there,

As far as i'm aware it is the escort front end but i supose it's still worth a few photos.

Andy S, i've just bought a Robin Hood 2B last friday so i've got to get rid of the Dutton sharpish, it's either me or the dutton!

I'll try get some new photos tomorrow when i've got a nice big "Study Period" at college tomorrow.

Thanks, Andy :ph43r:

Any problems with the SVA or have you not done it?

andywilson - December 12, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
Hi,

It was already registered when i bought it, i just rebuilt it, although having done an SVA i cant see there being many issues, mainly sharp edges.

Thanks, Andy

A quick reply here but better to move it to another thread.

Yes cycles on an early Phaeton are quite common - Caterhams use the same triumph upright so plenty of options on stays available.

As for wings - any of the Locost suppliers like GTS, MK, etc. usually in a couple of widths as well

Cheers

Andrew

I know how that is - my collection has reached saturation point so 2 have to go but I am holding out as I want to get some use out of the S4 for a bit longer.
