I'm a newbie here and a newbie to the forum.

I am currently smitten with the melos and am looking to buy one
but its lacking engine and gearbox.

Would i be able to shove the engine and gearbox i have from my old Fiesta XR2i??

Or do you have better suggestions?

NO, the gear box is wrong (xr21 is front wheel drive!)
you could use the engine, and mate it to a ford rwd gearbox
so you could use the engine but box is no good!
unless you want to make it front wheel drive! :D
