The front suspension (Escort mk1) of my Melos is not performing as it should - I hope. Every unevenness makes it jump as if neither springs nor shock absorbers exist.
The front of the car can't be pushed down to check the shock absorbers and if the car is jacked up the front wheels come off the ground rightaway.
So the shock absorbers are dead or ... are they?
If I need to replace them I can certainly not buy Escort mk1 shock absorbers as these are much too long.
Unfortunately I can't identify brand nor type as the shocks housings are painted over.
So I depend on your expert advice. Help me if you can please.
