Looking back on the month, July 2003

Well as we enter a new month, we have to have a look back on to the last month and see how we can improve on the mistakes we made. Well the last month has been a busy one, first half way though the month are 250mb of bandwidth we are allowed a month from 250Free ran out leaving us with nothing us with no access to the site for you the user. So we desperately searched to find a free host offering hosting. After a few days we found MikeFTP who gave us the hosting we needed. This was all ok and the site was back online. Sadly it started to realise that we still had one big problem. SPEED due to the MikeFTP running his own server from home with a T3 connection. Sadly for people on a fast connections outside of the usa. This meant that page download times where slow. Also down time is high witch isn’t good for anyone as we are in a stage of growing.

Other things that have been happening this month is downloads and more of them. Over the last month I have been adding more and more downloads. Are long term aim is to become one of the biggest download sites on the net. And to do that we need to increase the size of are database. So we have been adding more and more downloads. Along with adding more downloads we want to know what it is you’re looking for. If you are looking if your searching for a file in are database and don’t find it. Please tell me my aim is to have as menu downloads as possible and to have the software YOU want so please if you look for something and don’t find it tell us, Email me at daniel.teed@talk21.com

So how can we move on improve for the coming month, well first hosting. By the end of the month we must be on a new fast free host, making it faster for you to use the site. Also hits, my aim is to get more users on to the site and the forum, one idea im exploring is using a link exchange program if it works then I will continue to use it if not will get rid of it. Also I would like to have more active users of our forum, at the moment we have around 2 main posters, me and the other site manger. Hopefully by the end of August these targets will have been met and we can move on.
