In the realm of Hypeltheon, magic, elements, and the "Beyond" all work in a very different way in comparison to other realms. Everything in Hypeltheon is spiritually driven. Unlike other realms or stories or whatever where you can Learn magic through practice and other things, or become tuned in with the way the world works. In Hypeltheon, the realm chooses its masters. You learn magic or other special elements by virtue of the governing spirits alone.
That said, I must make the death issue clear. If you die, the spirits may revive you. Though it is not automatic, it will happen shortly after death. The hitch to this is, counter constitutions cannot be in the area. A counter constitution is any being of evil. Orcs, Goblins, Trolls, Demons, anything of that nature mustn't be near. The larger the numbers, the further away they must be. So in Avalon, the spirits cannot revive any player. If a spirit comes out to revive someone in the vicinity of counter constitutions, there is a chance of that spirit being entangled with the evil and thus being destroyed. If a spirit is destroyed, the spiritual powers (elements, magic, etc.) all weaken. So they do not come out in the presence of evil.
I repeat, if you die in any place but Avalon, or in the vicinity of evils, you will revive soon after death. If evil is in the area, then you will have to be revived by an ally.
Ok, but how can living characters revive dead characters? You mentioned elsewhere that charge moves can be used to revive fallen allies, but is that the only thing that can be used? I'd assume some potent healing item could do the trick, you know, like a can of jolt or something. Some additional information would be appreciated on this topic when you've got the time. Thanks in advance.
Clerics will have revival spells, as will Druids and Mages. Of course Clerics' spells will be stronger and more efficient, and they'll get them at lower levels. But all magic classes will have them. There will also be healing and revival tonics and herbs that you will be able to buy once the stores are up and running.
I plan on having all the stores running by the end of the month (September) at the earliest. They will gradually pop up into use one-by-one as the month wears on.
