However there are rumors of other civilizations in other realms, and on other islands in the Rim. Recently rumors have been circulating that there is an ancient elvish civilization on an island just North of Lienthala. In it, they say, resides a marvelous treasure that spans back as far as The First War, the conflict between Tharkas and Lienthala. You, as adventurers have come to this island to seek out the civilization and locate its treasures.
Reward: Unknown
Manpower Limit: 3
((Note: This Is The Island Of Lienthala In The Outer Rim. ONLY Elves May Post Here.))
Two small narrow boats of Elvish creation, grey oaken ships large enough for two men and their cargo, ornately designed upon the outer side with details of archaic runes and delicate wings that look, and even feel to be made of feathers. Upon these two tiny vessels are three Elves, paddling with smooth grey oak paddles. The sky is a deep blue, so majestic and wonderful, stretching higher than the imagination, you could just get lost in it. There isn't a cloud in the sky for miles all around, except for in the East, where the shadows of the fallen Avalon rest forever in the sky. Along the surface of the water the Innár channels are so clear and crystal blue that you could mistake it for an oversized rushing stream. Dangling in the air is the crisp sulfuric scent of the ocean water, and a familiar cool breeze plays with the ends of your hair, causing them to dance with one another on the wind.
As you paddle a familiar sound comes to your ears. It seems that you've made it. The swishing of waves sliding up on the silk-smooth sandy beaches of the island flood the air. Bunched together along the fringes of the isle, the sand radiates a pristine gold color against the lucious forest greens of the grass and leafy woods just beyond the borders of the isle. Across the treeline all sorts of exotic plants, shrubbery, and even trees, make themselves open to your sight. This forest is unlike anything that you've set your own eyes upon before, how could Elves have lived here? The air is cool, and there is a constant breeze swaying this way and that gently along the shores as the waves continue to slide up and down the beaches.
The two boats slide up along the shore, cutting a pair of paths in the sand like a knife slicing golden cornbread. The waves crash into the hindsides of the two small vessels, creating a hollow crushing sound that reverberates in the boat for a short while before fading off. You gather your gear, as do the other two that accompany you, and the tree Elves then step upon the foreign shores. After dragging the boats up near the grass so they don't get swept back out to sea, you peer into the dark forest, wondering what awaits you in the shadows. Before daring to go in, you could almost swear you see a pair of silver eyes staring back at you for an instant before disappearing.

Ridwee takes a single step forward and stops. His grin is a bit more toned down than usual and his left eye twitches a bit as he looks around the island. "I wonder if it is the fresh air or the beautiful surroundings that annoy me the most." he says to himself looking back to the other two blinking a bit as the grin on his face widens once more. The drow's tattoos seemed to glow a bit as the light from the sun passed over them, which of course annoyed Ridwee. The strands of hair hanging in front of his eyes begin to blow in the breeze flailing themselves back and fourth like mini fires being born before his eyes. Ridwee suddenly looks into the forest to see a pair of silver eyes. The drow grabs hold of the lance at his side and begins to laugh to himself twirling the weapon around a bit. He then grabs hold of the lance causing it to come to a sudden stop, the blade now facing the ground.
"Fresh blood to draw and new minds to play with. All while searching for treasure, perhaps this job is not a total waste." he says snickering to himself while crouching down to the ground. With a slight thrust the lance was brought onto the drow's shoulder allowing him to use the blunt end to draw strange symbols in the earth. He continues to draw the symbols not really caring to help his companions. To tell the truth he wasn't particularly fond of the whole idea of teamwork but they could be of some use later on. Ridwee begins to hum a strange tune to himself as he begins to scan the area for any signs of anything worth destroying. He sighs a bit lowering his head tempted to sink his blade into something soft in hopes of drawing a beautiful fresh supply of the crimson fluid he was so fond of.
After a while he grew tired of waiting and stood up looking to the others gathering the equipment from the boats. "Would you hurry up? I refuse to wait for anything that does happen to dwell on this island to reach us first. Or perhaps you prefer having your corpses used as a warning to others who would so foolishly step onto this island?" he says laughing a bit at the last comment. The drow stretched a bit and cracked his neck which made a very unpleasant sound for a moment or two. He then began to twirl the lance around once more looking back and fourth, it was clear that he would rush into the forest by himself if he really had to. Of course Ridwee never really was one to enjoy having to rely on any sort of preparation.
Harufu-Erubishi - August 29, 2003 04:18 AM (GMT)
Getting off the boat to observe the surroundings, Harufu didn't really know what to think. Without knowing anything about his past and who he was, Haru was unsure what to even expect. With the company of two others who seemed to look similar to his mother, Haru's only thoughts were if one of the two knew something that would help him find out about his past. The breeze was gentle and softly touched Haru's skin which did not seem to show any danger. Continuing to look around, a strange pair of silver colored eyes stood out as plain as day within the forest. As fast as there were seen they had disappeared in a moments notice. Haru began to think about everything that had already happened to him on his search for his mother. Not paying attention, Haru was snapped back into reality with the words from one of the other two travelers.
"Would you hurry up? I refuse to wait for anything that does happen to dwell on this island to reach us first. Or perhaps you prefer having your corpses used as a warning to others who would so foolishly step onto this island?"
Haru looked towards the stranger with a bit of confusion upon his face. He was never really able to accept anyone else to be friendly or even show any emotions and this person just seemed to prove his thought. Without meaning to do so, Haru was able to see the strangers eyes and believed he saw something but was unable to describe what it was. Not even giving a reply, Haru only turns to their other companion and with a slight nod makes sure everything he had brought is ready. As he begins to turn away from both of them, he only has a few words to say before they begin their adventure.
"Harufu Erubishi" was all Haru would give them as he began to lose himself in his thoughts once again.
Nodel - August 29, 2003 05:27 AM (GMT)
With a slight snicker Ridwee shook his head and lets the blade of his lance rest in the ground once more. He then looked around the area not really noting anything of importance at the moment. The drow managed to take a few steps around the area, his feet rustling through the grass. "They say silence is golden, either way I'm sure your name might be important to remember at some point." the man says shrugging a bit and walking on through the area. He manages to reach a tree and looked at it for a moment. A slight swishing type noise was heard as he swung his lance around at the tree with little effort. The blade of the lance flew into the tree causing bark to fly back into the air. The drow began to repeat this process for a minute or two before he finally sat down for a moment leaning against the tree. He ran a hand across his leather armor and yawned a bit looking up at the sky.
Tilting his head to the side Ridwee begins to stare off into the forest. The drow turned his attention to his two companions, and it was then that the thoughts in his head began to become more and more distorted by the moment. Vivid images begin to appear in his mind, they reach the treasure within a great room in a dungeon perhaps. He lets them open the chest and while their backs are turned he raises his lance into the air. Their corpses fall to the ground leaving him with the treasure and satisfaction of adding two more victims to his list. Ridwee begins to laugh to himself and then mutters "Oh what fun that would be. Of course I need help getting off of this island. Too bad there are times in life when we must depend on others to get the job done. Of course...when it's over with." he finishes as the malevolent grin on his face widened. His pupils became small for a moment as he brought the lance up into the air for a moment studying its blade. He smiled and looked to the forest. "Then again they wouldn't be much fun. I'm sure there is something that will challenge me within that forest." he says to himself and nods.
After a few minutes of conversing with himself the drow rose in a strange pose with his arms dangling to the side and his head tilted down. His eyes became as they were and the grin on his face less vicious. He then took a few steps forward and eventually made his way to the two boats, looking into them for any trace of any items that may have been left behind. "Bah, they seem to be as poor as I am. How disappointing." he mutters taking a few steps back away from the boats. "What has it been now 10 minutes? This is ridiculous, we haven’t the time to stand around like this!" he shouts looking to his companions with a now wicked grin on his face. "I strongly suggest you hurry up unless you prefer to be left behind. Don't think for a minute that I will put your lives before mine. If you are badly wounded out here consider yourself dead as far as I'm concerned." he says turning his back to them, not bothering to carry anything but his lance.
Harufu-Erubishi - August 30, 2003 07:00 AM (GMT)
Realizing the threat that this person was showing, Haru began to think of what he could do if he was to his word. There was a slight chill to the air every time this person would talk. It seemed that the only thing for Haru to do was to keep quiet and watch what would unfold. Haru’s attention moved from the abnormal companion to the rest of the companionship. He too seemed to have something upon his mind as well.
While holding his lance and what little he brought, Haru never once tool his hand away from the dagger his father had given him. Haru knew that this dagger would not do any damage for being a blunt blade, but if he had to resort to it he would. The idea would come and go but soon enough it had passed.
Haru looked towards the forest once again to find some explanation as to the strange eyes that had appeared. But to no such luck. Except for the actions of the stranger, nothing about the forest seemed to be bothered. No depressions in the brush, nothing that would leave some type of clue as to what was there, nothing at all.
Then there it was. Haru would always be able to remember what it was. It was the same tree that had trapped him years ago. Everything was the same including the unfathomable rune markings all over the trunk. Haru kept thinking to himself “how can this be”. He couldn’t find the answers but yet again something was drawing him in closer to the tree to find the answers.
Haru’s eyes were locked upon the mysterious tree. He could feel his body become frozen again. He turned towards the tree and began to step towards it. Nothing was going through Haru’s mind as he began to walk towards the tree. Just step by step, leaving his companions behind, the distance between the two decreased.
There he was, Haru was standing right in front of the strange tree. Nothing else around Haru could be noticed. It seemed time yet again has just frozen. Haru moved his hand closer to the trunk of the tree to touch the runes again. For some reason, a familiar voice ran through his head. It was a voice of warning not to touch the tree once again. Slowly Haru began to pull back his hand, but something began to react to Haru’s actions. A unfamiliar growl began to echo through the tree. Haru prepared his lance to strike but the noise had disappeared. Haru just stood there looking at where the strange tree should have been, but it was no longer there.
“What happened?” Haru asked himself as he looked around. When he looked towards the spot he was standing at, all around him the earth was disturbed. Haru began to look around to see what had happened. As he looked towards the beach, he noticed that his comapions were still there. Haru took up his lance and made his way back. More and more questions began to pop up. But it seemed that only time would be able to answer any of his questions.
(sorry it is a bit long)

Nodel - August 30, 2003 05:38 PM (GMT)
Ridwee looked to Harufu holding back a fit of laughter in the process as he watched the man. "Step lightly into the realm of insanity. For if you travel too far into its unforgiving lands you may find that your mind is lost forever." he says snickering while crouching down to the ground once more. He stares into his companions eyes for a moment before the grin on his face faded replace by an emotionless stare. Ridwee cracked his neck a few times as he did before, making a horrible noise in the process. He then blinked looking down to the ground, drawing strange symbols into the ground with his lance once more. The wind began to blow his hair back and fourth in the wind, which caused the drow to become a bit angry. Every passing moment his patience was growing thin, any moment now the man could snap and leave them behind. It was only a matter of seconds now.
A loud ringing noise began to fill Ridwee's head as he fell over onto his knees grabbing his head. The drow begins to laugh to himself rocking back and fourth slowly as he reaches down for his lance. At that moment he stops laughing and seems to become as he was now grabbing hold of the lance as he stood up looking around the area as he had done before. "Well, whenever you are ready my friends we shall begin. By the way my name is Ridwee, I shall do what I can to help you." he says in a rather grim tone the smile on his face present as it was before and more sinister than ever. It was as if at that moment he became a totally different being, but the traces of his tortured soul remained in his smile and eerie tone. He began to run his left index finger across one of the markings along his face. The particular rune his was following being the one that stood for hate. His right arm holding the lance began to tremble a bit as he then brought the lance across his chest crossing his arms with the blade of the weapon held to his left side.
He returned to the tree he was at earlier and leaned against it looking to his companions and then to the sky above. His eyes became narrow for a moment and the smile of his face began to fade. The light surrounding him bathed the blade of his lance causing a small orb of light to appear at the base of the blade. Slowly the orb of light traveled until it reached the very tip of the dangerously sharp weapon. Ridwee ran his left hand through his white hair for a moment causing the strands covering his eyes to fall back for a moment. he then rested his arm to his side once more causing the strands of hair to fall back into place. Ridwee was calm now, perhaps able to handle being kept there for another few minutes. It seemed as though his sudden change of personality had bought the others some time to finish whatever it was they were doing.
Nyro Darko - August 30, 2003 11:46 PM (GMT)
Nyro left the boat, taking with him his bow and all his other valuables. (Which were none but he clothes on his back, and the boots on his feet.) Nyro looked around at his new found companions. He did not speak, his head was hidden under his green hooded cloak. He thought to himself "Why am I here?" he wondered waited quietly, positioning his arms interlaced infront of him.
After a few minutes of quiet he spoke. "I am Nyro Darko.. Do either of you know what we are doing here?" His voice was stern, but his face was light. His blue eyes glistened as he slowly looked up, a few black hair's trailed infront of his eyes. He admired the beautiful atmosphere for a few moments, looking into the trees which he had ever loved. The forest ahead seemed rather evil, and he pondered what could be inside, but he knew whatever may be in there, he was up for the challenge.
Darko took up his Archer's Bow and continued the long wait, he glanced from companion to companion, noticing that one seemed to be a rather foul drow, and the other a fair elf like himself.
Harufu-Erubishi - August 31, 2003 01:52 AM (GMT)
Looking around where Haru was still standing something had finally reached him. The last time he was trapped by that same tree his mother had shown herself to him. Haru began to wonder if this would have happened again. The only thing he could think of was who’s voice it was that had warned him of the danger the tree held. It was a female's voice but it was not his mothers, but how could this have been. The only female Haru knew of was his mother, well the only one that would talk to him and not think of his as a freak. But there was one who it could be...
As soon as her name came to Haru it disappeared. It seems that the effects of that damned tree was having some type of after affect on his mind. For what it was worth see was able to see something of a figure and a face. See was beautiful, young women with soft white skin. She also had long dark hair similar to his own. Her name was there but could not be said. Something was there but at the same time nothing at all. Without any memories he could recall about this woman, Haru just put it on his list of questions that he needed to answer.
Leaving the disturbed ground behind, Haru walked towards his other two companions to see if they knew anything about what they were to do. After hearing both of there names, Haru began to feel slightly more secure about trusting these two others. Hearing that so far no one knew what they were doing here was something Haru was expecting. “Sorry, I am unable to find an answer to why we are here?” Haru turned his head in different directions to see if something was left for them. Nothing stood out to him but as soon as someone had found something he would follow. Haru knew that trust would be something hard to earn but he would have to try and the same time would have to try to trust them.
Holding onto his lance, Haru began to walk around but suddenly finding himself humming a strange tune. The words Nienna Felagund kept on coming up. He couldn't find how this related to his problems but he continued to hum to himself. Waiting for his companions to figure out what to do, something caught his eye. It was far in distance but for some reason the image was extremely clear to him. It was the same woman who was racing though his mind. Haru could feel his heart beating faster and faster with each second he saw this women. Then a second figure seemed to just appear right behind her and that was what broke his silence.
"WATCH OUT, BEHIND YOU NIENNA" Haru yelled out as he could only watch as his warning was listened to by only deft ears. With a swift movement the second figure grabbed the woman and turned to disappear. Haru just stood there. He wasn't sure if what he say was real or just something in his mind. Falling to the ground, Haru wasn't sure what to do. No matter what he did, he could not remember how he knew that woman or why he cared so much. All he could do was hit the ground for his lack of actions. That was all he could do, just to continue to hit the ground cursing himself. When Haru was finally able to pull himself together, he picked up his lance and wouldn't even face anyone. What he had done could not be forgiven. He had lost himself to his emotions but was unable to explain why.

((OOC NOTE: I am taking my character out of this quest and Dark Isles for that matter heh. So you can have him walk off or something but someone will be in to fill the open spot soon I imagine. Either way it was fun roleplaying with you guys.))
Nyro Darko - August 31, 2003 06:36 PM (GMT)
Nyro gazed upon the crazed Harufu with a slight discomfort. Was he with some psychotic wierdo? and a sadistic drow? This didn't strengthen his hope, he looked around for a glance of something that startled his companion, but saw nothing.
"Are you ok..?" His worlds trailed off alittle as he walked closer to Harufu. This place was dark, he could feel it now more than ever, there was evil afoot. He felt a coldness come over him. "Well.. I think we should set out, waiting here is doing no good." He turned to the drow looking for a sign of approval, and then back to harufu looking for the same.
Nyro walked into the entrance of the forest and slowly began to make his way..
Elither Daegovad - August 31, 2003 10:31 PM (GMT)
A Boat comes paddling up a few minutes after the beautifully constructed two did earlier, yet this one was nothing like the other two. It was shorter, and much wider, and very badly constructed, several places had splintered wood, which let in large amounts of water, to where it would've almost sunken, and the oars were almost broken, and cracks ran down them.
As the boat slid onto the sand, Making an odd grinding sound. an elf pulled himself to his full 6'1 heigth, and stepped out of the rickety boat. A loud crunching sound filled the air for a moment, as he stepped on the wet sand. His face was hooded with a green cloak, though crimson colored eyes could be seen beneath the cloak, aswell as a few locks of white hair that fell from it.
Elither slowly walked away from the boat, and raised his face for a moment, to give a cold, cruel stare at the odd forest on the Island. His crimson red eyes then darted from the forest, over to the small party, then lowered his head again, and made his way over to them, taking slow steps, The sand making a muffle crunch every step he made.
((OOC: Sorry if it's a bit short, but it's all I could think of at the moment. =\))
Harufu-Erubishi - September 1, 2003 03:03 AM (GMT)
"It was her, the only person I could not protect" Haru continued to curse himself as her turned to his companions. Haru knew that something was wrong but was unable to understand what it was. No matter how many times he played it through his head he was unable to figure out what was wrong. He knew that he had saw her be taken but...
"I am truly sorry for my actions" Haru commented facing his friends. "I am not sure what was wrong with me but coming here and awoken something in my mind but I am unable to understand it" Haru walks over to Nyro and kneels down to ask for forgiveness. Looking around Haru notices that they are in the company of another. Unable to see where there first companion went, Haru just thought that he was tired of his actions and uncontrollable actions.
"I see that you are going to be our new companion" Haru asked the new figure. "I am not sure how much of that you saw but I also am sorry that if you did see anything for my actions." Haru looked towards the figure and stands were he is with his lance in hand waiting for some reply that this person if some type of a friend.
Nyro Darko - September 1, 2003 03:22 AM (GMT)
"Stand up my friend.. no worries, you are not forgiven simply because I need not forgive you simply because you have done nothing that would be worthy of asking forgiveness." He reaches down and helps him up.
He turns to the newly arrived elf. "Hello there, I am Nyro Darko, and Elven Ranger. Glad to be in your company." He bowed slightly. "Let us be off.. We can enter the woods and head north a bit, let the forest guide us, it is very old and wise.." He began to head off into the woods again, hoping the others would follow.
He looked down and saw some tracks, kneeling he examined them, it was extremely dark in the forest, and even with his keen elven sight he could not distinguish what beast or man had laid its tracks here. He narrowed his eyes and glanced around, looking for something, anything, even the slightest sign of movement but he saw none. He rose again but his gaurd was raised, he was expecting something or someone would turn up soon..
Harufu-Erubishi - September 1, 2003 03:29 AM (GMT)
"Welcome, I am Harufu Erubishi, but I am mostly known as Haru for short" Haru looks to Nyro and nodded thaat they should make there way through the forest.
"May I ask you a question? Do you know what reason we are here?" Haru still had a puzzled look upon his face. Trying to answer too many questions of his past, he could not even answer the questions that he was facing now.
Elither Daegovad - September 1, 2003 04:22 AM (GMT)
Elither pulls his head up slowly as the two of them acknoledge his presents, the strands of white hair that had escaped the grasp of the hood flowed gently in the breeze, the sun shining brightly off of them, but his eyes narrow a bit, outlines of wrinkles can be seen.
He grunts a bit, acknoledging what they said, but his head and gaze slowly turn a bit towards the forest. His feet slowly start moving, taking his body along with them, towards the forest at a slow pace.
As he passes the two, he speaks, but just his name. "Im Elither Daegovad." He says, in a slow, stern and cold voice. He stops just upon the first few tree's of the forest, and runs his hand along his bow, his hand looking more like a rather large white spider, as his fingers are long, and narrow.
Harufu-Erubishi - September 2, 2003 05:49 AM (GMT)
"Im Elither Daegovad" stated the mysterious figure as he walked passed Haru and Dyro. Haru could think of what this person was going trough but he was still unable to understand everything. All he could do was worry about his own problems then if this person needed any help he would help if he could. That was all he could do. Nothing more.
"Who was she?" Haru continued to question himself. The answer was there in front of him but was unable to see it clearly. Everything that happened to Haru seemed to rush passed him as he trying to find the answer. Images of Haru's memory seemed to appear but no matter how hard he tried, he could not remember any of the images even happening.
As the wind blew through the forest and across Haru's face, something reminded him of his past. A distance memory of his father shown in Haru's mind. This was weird to him because after 100 years he still was able to remember his father. The same words he had given him before he left on his journey to find his mother. "Only look for the answer and it will show when the time is right."
"I understand now, thank you father" Haru whispers to himself as he looks towards the forest once again to prepare to leave.
Nyro Darko - September 2, 2003 11:16 PM (GMT)
Nyro led the group on, through the forest to the north. He was guided by the spirit of the forest, the sway of the wind, the breeze which blew the leafs off the trees almost as if they were arrows as they lay, pointing north, on the desolate forest floor, and the trees whispered to the elven tracker in a long forgotten tounge.
His mind was focused, he made great haste through the forest with his companions hideen by his green elven cloak. He heard a noise to the right and with great speed drew and arrow and aimed his bow, charged and ready, he aimed into the wild..
His eyes adjusted, he saw a glimpse of some silvers eyes, and then more movement, and then it just disappeared. He waited for a moment, then he released the string which urged to be released and reck its havoc into the flesh of another. He stood for a second looking around, then slowly, more cautiously, carried on.
Harufu-Erubishi - September 3, 2003 03:59 AM (GMT)
Yet again there they were. The strange silver eyes that seemed to plague Haru and his companions. As fast as they were to prepare to attack the creature, it yet again seemed to disappear without a trace. This was becoming troubling to Haru. There answers were not getting to where they needed it to be and there was still a lot more that needed to be discovered. As the party recovers from the encounter with the strange eyes yet again, they pick up and begin to move on through the forest.
(OOC:NEW I am just going to put the flashback in the last post I did. It makes more sense if I put it there. Hope this is ok.)
Elither Daegovad - September 3, 2003 04:32 AM (GMT)
He stops in mid walk, like the other's of the group, and stares at the eyes, not going for his bow. They dissappeared like a flash of lightning, before the one member could even draw his bow."Heh." He says in the stern, cold voice, before starting to walk again.
His eyes dart around the forest, looking up at the canopies of the tree's, flowing like the bottom of the kimono in the wind, The caws and chirps of the birds, and the hisses from the snakes on the ground, slithering along the leaves on the forest floor, making there ways around.
He thinks to himself for a moment, as to what he's doing here, not knowing why. He runs his right thumb along the bow at his side, while he's at thought, the sunlight coming from the canopies in little beams, the sunlight being cut off in places by the leaves, and limbs.
He walks lightly along the forest, and carefully, watching the ground, to avoid crunching twigs, or tripping over roots that have been dug up from the earth by animals digging.

Harufu-Erubishi - September 9, 2003 09:21 PM (GMT)
After the appearance of the silver eyes once again, Harufu begins to hope for an answer to show itself soon. Walking through the forest, only being guided by the direction of the wind, a strange cave is soon discovered.
"What is this?" questioned Haru as he looked for his companions that had traveled through the same forest as he did. Looking around, there was no one but Haru standing in front of the entrance of the cave. The companions that had traveled with Haru seemed to have disappeared from sight.
"Hello!" Haru yelled at the top of his lungs searching for an answer. No one answered. The only noise that Haru could hear was the sounds of the wind blowing through the forest still guiding his actions. His once companions were not there which caused Haru to start to worry once again.
"Something must have happened but what..."
Haru turned towards the dark and dank cave wounding what it was. Something inside told Haru to watch out for what was soon to come. Haru took the warning but continued to go on into the strange cave. The light was bad and Haru was unable to see much past his own hands and actions. There was also a foul smell coming from the ground of the cave. Everything smelled of death and a sudden end. Haru could figure out what was going on but could not find it in him to even care. Walking through to the depths of the cave the light soon disappeared and Haru found himself looking straight into darkness. Nothing but darkness surrounds him.
"What can I do now? I guess I can only continue on." Haru begin walking without any real sense of direction searching for the answers to his questions.
"Hope I find you soon Nienna" With Haru's final words he continued to walk in farther into the cave. With a sudden thud, Haru was attacked from behind and knocked out. A strange figure stood over Haru but nothing more was done. The figure began to drag Haru back out of the cave into the light and safety.
"I'm sorry Haru but it is not time for you to face this challenge." The strange figure brought Haru out of the cave and farther away from the cave. The entrance remained to expel a strange aura from it. The figure dragged Haru for about an hour until it reached a small camp. Placing Haru near the fire, the figure took its weapon and left Haru where he was.
(OOC hope this is ok, I do not want to have this end unless you want it to but I have a good idea where and how this will continue on. Hope you keep this on and I will post the rest of the story in due time, or when ever I get over food poisoning. Peace)

*FLASHBACK*
I was back at the tree again. My mother and the second figure had already left me to be with my thoughts. I couldn't tell why but I could not stay awake long enough to see what was going on around me. With the time I could see anything, not much was happening. When time passed me by, I could see the different seasons pass by. After two winters had passed, my mother once again came forth to talk to me.
"Who are you really?" I asked as yet again I could not see where she had walked. All that seemed to be apparent was the sounds of her footsteps going around me. She once again moved in front of me and began to talk. At first she was talking in a language that I could not understand. With a look of confusion on my face, she came closer and placed her fingers upon my forehead. As she began to speak again I was suddenly able to understand what she was saying.
"I am so sorry. I wanted to find you and tell you the truth but I couldn't. I had to do everything I could to keep you safe." She continued to talk about what had happened and why she did not come for me. I wasn't sure how to reply. What was my mother afraid of that forced her to forget about me and that would just leave my father and me alone without anything to understand what happened to her. Unless...I continued to look at her hoping to find some answers. Then it hit me. "My father knew of this as well?" When she nodded her head, it was coming together, well sort of.
"Why?" This was all I could take before I yet again passed out from a loss of energy and strength. I could not even hear her answer. I guess it would just have to wait.
(OOC: It should have been posted awhile back but here it is anyways)

Haru could feel the pain of his head finally wakes him out of his sleep. He didn't want to even get up because he hoped that nothing would bother him any further. Hoping that he would be able to remember more about his past, Haru attempted to return to sleep. He had no such luck with this. No matter how many times he woke and returned back to sleep, all Haru could think of was Nienna and seeing her once again. Everything once again, all of the emotions he once felt for her, came straight back to him. Knowing that the only thing he could do was watch her get taken once again.
"Damn it. Why couldn't I help her." Haru continued to yell as he pounded his fist into the ground. All Haru could do was hate himself for doing nothing to save the one person he truly loved. Haru could not find it in himself to even try and stop. Holding everything in was causing this to him and it all needed to be let out. When Haru was finally able to stop, he stood up looking around to see where he was dragged to. The camp was small but only seemed to be for one person.
"Who brought me here?" questioned Haru as he was finally able to hear that someone was coming up to where the camp was. Searching for his weapon, Haru was unable to find where his lance was placed. Reaching for his dagger he also found it too missing from him. This meant that Haru would have to face what ever was coming without anything but his hands and mind. It did not really seem to be a fair fight.
The figure moved through the forest to the camp but did not seem to have a weapon either.
"Who are you and why did you bring me here?" asked the figure in front of him. With nothing of a reply Haru kept his eyes of the figure. This person was wrapped in a large cloak that seemed to cover everything. It looked heavy but even with the softest of breezes the cloak would move in unison. Still getting nothing from the figure, Haru continued to stay on his guard.
"You must remember me Haru. I was hoping that we could talk. There is something you must know before you take on this quest any further." The figure was finally talking which made Haru drop his guard. It was the voice that Haru could not leave his mind. It was a voice that he knew and could never forget.
"Nienna..." Haru began to move closer but thought about what he had seen earlier. There was a slight tremble to his voice as he stepped back again. "But what did I see at the shore?" Haru asked hoping for an answer to what was going on. As she removed the cloak, the truth showed itself to Haru. It was her. Haru did not know what to think or even feel. He was sure that she was taken at the shore. But if she was here what did he see. Haru began to question himself, wondering if he was still dreaming.
"Please Haru, I am here to help you, but no matter what I say can explain anything. Please I am sorry for everything that has happened to you. I will always keep my promise to you no matter what." Nienna continued to talk to Haru as she wanted to explain her feelings to him. There was so much that she wanted to say but there seemed to be no such time. Moving closer to Haru, she could see it on his face that nothing to Haru seemed to be real. His only expression on his face was full of doubt and questions.
Standing right in front of Haru now, Nienna reached for his hand to show him that everything he was seeing now was real. That she was real. Nienna took Haru's hand and brought him closer to her. Moving her lips closer to his they finally met in a passionate kiss, bringing Haru back to reality.
"Nienna, no matter what happens, I still love you. That is all I can ever be sure of. There is so much that I have to find about myself but now that you are here I know I have a chance. I have to ask, why did you bring me here?" Haru looked to Nienna as he held her in his arms. There was a slight blush on her face as she thought about what she did to bring him to this camp.
"I'm sorry if I hit you too hard but I had to get you out of that cave as fast as I could." She continued to blush. It seemed that she was holding a lot back but would soon have to tell him sooner or later. But till then she would enjoy seeing him once again and the feeling of being in his arms. No matter what happened to them she would always keep her promise to him since the first day they met.
"I will always protect you, no matter what happens."
With the two just standing there holding each other in there arms they may have failed to notice that a pair of silver eyes were watching them from afar. The creature just stood there looking at the two, thinking to its self. The creature began to move away from its location, returning to the cave for which it calls home. Without any signs of it ever being there, the creature traveled deep in the cave to only be greeted by a shadowed figure.
"So they are now together then." stated the figure as his question was returned with a nod from the creature. "So now it will begin." The strange figure began to laugh and as the two seemed to disappear into the darkness. Only to be found again when the time is right. For now it has just started. The truth will be told. Lives will be risked. For now the story really begins...
(OOC: Hope this is all right. If you want this to end that is why I posted this one. Sorry for the length but I had to do something for an hour. Hope everyone enjoys this. There was another flashback that would explain most of this but I am not done with it so if this quest continues I will post it when it is done. Thank you to everyone who took part and for those ho have read this quest for far. Hope more is to come from this. Peace...)

Holding Nienna in his arms, Haru could feel his memories and emotions return to him. While he was only able to recover bit by bit, Haru knew that something would come out soon enough. Listening to the wind, Haru began to see a slight change in the voices of the wind. Something was traveling with the wind that caused Haru to worry about what was coming. It was just something that Haru could feel that would cause danger soon enough. Getting up and stepping away from Nienna, Haru began to look for what was causing this strange occurrence.
Nothing was seen as Haru continued to look through the forest. Then there it was. Just in a slight moment Haru was able to see a shifting shadow deep in the woods. Taking up his lance, he began to chase after the shadow to see what was going on. It was faster than Haru first thought. Without even knowing it, Haru had lost the shadow. Its speed was unmatchable and Haru just accepted it and returned to Nienna.
She was already up when Haru returned to the camp. Knowing that it would be futile to ask any questions, Nienna just looked towards Haru then got up to go see him. Moving to his side, Nienna also had her weapon in hand. Grabbing Haru's hand Nienna began to lead him though the forest, somewhere that Haru could not tell. The forest seemed to get darker and darker as the two continued through the forest.
In the distance Haru could begin to see strange lights coming up. There really didn't seem to be anything else around the area except for even more lights. When Haru and Nienna finally stopped, all seemed to be all right. The ground in which there were standing in was clear of all leaves and anything else that would show that the area was untouched for years.
"Nienna, why did you bring me here?" Without getting an answer Nienna only turns to Haru to hold him in her arms. The wind began to circle the two as it seemed that music was playing to their movement. All seemed to be all right as Haru and Nienna only held each other in their arms. Nothing else mattered. That was until the two were completely surrounded by shadowed figures. When Haru was able to realize what was going on all he could do was hold on to Nienna. All that went through his mind was how to get Nienna out of here. But nothing came to mind. Nothing at all would help them get away. With his last thoughts, Nienna brought him out of his fear.
"Haru, please listen to me. There is nothing for you to worry about. They will not harm us as long as you don't over react." Haru believed what Nienna was saying but still would not let down his guard. Not yet though. For now he would listen to the advise Nienna had given and hope that what she was saying was true. The figures surrounding Haru and Nienna had not moved from the place in which they stood. No actions were coming from them. No noises, no nothing. But for now Haru would just have to wait to see what their true intentions were.
(OOC: Hope this is alright. If it is alright with the high powers i am currently working on everything for Nienna. If not, would it be alright if she just stays with Haru for now. I will figure out something later on. Thanks)
Harufu-Erubishi - September 15, 2003 05:17 AM (GMT)
Being with Nienna, Haru did not feel that anything around him would matter. Knowing that they were surrounded could not even break the emotions he was feeling at that moment. Looking into Nienna's eyes, Haru began to walk towards the shadowed figures. His only intentions were to find out who they really were.
Standing in front of one of them, Haru was still unable to see anything on the figure. It seemed that no matter where he looked it was all in shadows. Finally Haru was the only one to talk as the wind slowly died down.
"I must ask this, who are you all?"
No one was giving him a response. Haru began to worry and thought that they were not even alive, but then how could it be. More thoughts of how his mind was playing tricks on him began to spread even more. Giving up on finding an answer, Haru picked up his lance and drove it into the ground. Moving from the lance he walked towards the shadows stood. As he was in front of the closest one, Haru pushed his hand forward to find the truth about the shadows.
There was just that. The figures were only shadows and nothing more. Haru moved his hand back and forth through the shadow finding out more about what was going on. Moving away from the shadows, Haru walked toward where Nienna was standing. Something about her expression gave hints to Haru that she knew more than she was telling him.
"Nienna, what do you know about this place?" Haru stood in front of Nienna looking for an answer. As she was moving away so not to face Haru told him that she did know something. Moving to face her once again, Haru still wanted to find out what she knew. To no luck he was not getting anything from her. With a last attempt and plea, Haru walked back to give Nienna the chance to make up her mind.
"If you must know Haru then I will tell you." Finally giving him an answer, Nienna sat down and brought Haru with her to tell him what she knew. The time went by as Haru continued to listen to her about what had happened before he had reached the island. There was so much information that Haru could not understand but still listen on. Nienna continued on with what she knew.
"While there is something on this island that can never be explained, you must not worry or give any thoughts to it. Right now you have already seen the shadows of the island but that is not all to be found. There is more to this island and this forest that still hide in the shadows. There are not there to be found but to be left in peace." Nienna began with the knowledge she was willing to tell and it seemed to be enough for Haru. Holding onto her hand, Haru began to get up and brought Nienna with him. Hearing enough, Haru finally decides that it is time for them to leave this place.
"I am not sure what I can get out of staying here any longer, but hearing what you know, I think it would be for the best that we leave the souls of this island in peace. It would be nice to find out the reason why we were brought here but for now I guess it will just have to wait." Pulling his lance out of the ground, Haru returned to Nienna's side. Hold onto her hand they began to make their way back though the forest to where the boats were docked at.
It took awhile but soon enough they were able to reach the boat to prepare to leave. Looking around Haru could only see that there was one boat on the shore. Searching for anything, there was no sign that there had been any other boats on the shore. Even weirder was that there was also no sign that anyone other than Haru and Nienna were on the island. It seemed that even the boat appeared to be untouched for years. How this was possible told Haru that there was going to be a time when he would have to return to find the answer to what this island really held.
Finally gathering everything they brought with them, Haru and Nienna entered the boat and prepared to leave the island. Pulling away from the beach, Haru noticed that a pouch was coming towards there direction. The pouch fell in the boat with a strange cling to it. Looking back to the shore, Haru was able to notice what had thrown the pouch. In the forest and still hiding in the shadows was a pair of silver eyes looking towards him. Like always as soon as the eyes appeared they soon after disappeared. A small smile crossed Haru's face as he looked towards the pouch.
"What do you think is in here?" Haru looked towards Nienna as he held the pouch in his hands. Opening the pouch, Haru could not believe what was in it. Looking again towards Nienna, Haru held in his hands a few strange gold coins he could not recognize. With the coins there was also a strange note with it all.
It read: Till we met again. The truth will not remain unknown, but until you are ready DO NOT RETURN. Your time will come...
"I guess we will just have to wait and see." Looking past Nienna to the sea, Haru could feel the questions in his mind leave him as the waves of the water guided them to where ever they were needed. Haru knew that even though nothing was answered about why they were really there, he knew that soon it will be clear. At least he was able to find something, but really it was someone. The image of the island began to disappear as nothing surrounding them was just sea. Haru could feel the warmth of Nienna to his side as the boat took its own direction. For now everything was all right for Haru, but the idea of a new adventure kept him up even through the darkest of night......
Meanwhile back on the island...
Standing alone on the island, stood two figures as they looked towards the departing boat. Nothing was send but it seemed that both knew what the other was thinking. The wind was the only thing that showed that time had not stopped as leaves began to blow past the two. As the wind picked up, the two figures turned their backs to the sea as to depart. Suddenly with a large gust of wind and dirt acting as a clock, the two figures disappears to return to where they once came from. For now they would not be found. Maybe that as how it was to be....

There were supposed to be ruins, hence the "Ruinous" being in the title. But I never got around to it - otherwise you would have gotten more impressive rewards. But good job none the less.
