Title: Crestierem
Description: Registration

Crestierem - August 27, 2003 07:12 AM (GMT)
Character name: Crestierem (Crest for short)

Class: Mage

Race: Human

Age: Unknown

Level: 1

Height: 5'11"

Weight: About 155 lbs

Eye Color: Blood Red (when it's not covered)

Hair Color: Black

Element: Spirit

Physical Decription: Over his whole body, he wears a dark green hooded cloak that is beaten and torn from travel, but he usually doesn't wear his hood. Underneath the cloak, his clothes are very clean. He wears a light brown muffler around his neck and shoulders (underneath the cloak), and underneath the muffler, he wears a black long sleeved shirt. His pants are dark brown with one golden eye decorating each knee and elbows. He also has an eye decoration on his muffler where the strings tie together and another golden eye on his belt buckle. His black hair is usually a mess, going down to his eyes, with the back reaching the middle of his neck. Over his eyes, he wears a white blindfold with a blue trim. His body looks frail like most magic users, but because of his constant traveling, he is more physically built and agile then other mages. Also, unlike other magic users, he prefers the small Dirk instead of the magical wand, throwing them with accuracy.

Personality: He is often mistaken for being sadistic, because he fights with a smile on his face, burning the faces and bodies of others, when actually he is very calm and observant. Most of the time, he is very quiet and thoughtful, keeping most of those thoughts to himself. He finds many things irritating, and because of this, he tends to be sarcastic at times, without really meaning to. Though it may not seem like it, he does have his sense of morale and some sort of honor, but when battle comes, he would rather incinerate his opponents on the spot rather then giving them the chance to get ready.

Weapon: Dirk

Equipment: Black Hood, Silver Ring, Black Robes, Leather Boots

Gold: 3,000

Skills: FlameBlast

Background: He looks somewhere in the mid 20's, but that is all people can guess about his age. For several years, he's been wandering the continent without any memory of his past, except for his name. When he first awoke, he was nearby a village, naturally thinking that was the place of his origin, he walked towards it, hoping that the people would remember him and remind him of his past. Instead, they stared at him, or called him monster, not reconizing him at all if that was where he had came from. Later, he found out that his eyes were an unnatural red, so he decided to cover them by blindfolding himself so that he may travel without trouble. Even though he was blind, he was still able to "see" what was around him without any trouble...except that he occasionally walked into walls and trees...but that rarely happened (or so he claims). He travelled blindly for years, trying to find anything about himself when he accidently came upon the Tower of Cethindol. They took him in, and convinced him to stay and study the ways of magic. During his studies, he discovered that he could wield the power of magic naturally, but he just studied quietly in the library, learning the past of the world and the magics he could learn. One day, after several years of studying, Crestierem dissappeared from the tower, without a word. But everyone knew that he had gone off on his travels again, forever searching for the lost and forgotten.

Sounds good, it could have had a longer background, but it's good enough. The one thing that bothers me is the line: "and that his powers were equal to those of the highest students." In truth, to be technical, everyone in that tower is still a student. There is always something to be learned and something to be discovered when it comes to magic. That and you're level 1, with one spell. How could your powers be so superior? Everyone tries to make themselves "the best", but that can't be so. However I do comend you on actually using the Cethindol Tower in your background.

Just thought I would point that out because I see it all the time. Anyway, welcome to Dark Isles!

Just a reminder: Since you're a Mage, that puts you in the ruinous Avalon, a second Adventure will be running soon for you, and the two new additions to that realm. :D
