Nightmares... Nightmares everywhere... Screams... Inhuman, human... Screams everywhere!

That’s what I look forward too every night when I sleep. Shifting masses of darkness and screams. What are they though? Memories from my past? Few things I can remember now. Only my most recent memories surface with clarity now. I wonder every day whether or not I will remember it in the coming century. I do have one memory that rises like a shining star above a sea of darkness. My first memory of my new life, my rebirth:

I was floating down a forest river in the darkness of the night, near death and adding my life force to the already crimson river. The stars shining on the river, looking like diamonds spread on red silk. The moon light reflected off my stained and battered armor, illuminating the gash running down my left side that split my armor and my body. I floated down the river for some time until my prone body bumped into a log standing in the mud in the bottom of the river. My body wrapped around it and my face dipped into the river of gore and revived me like a foul balm. I coughed and choked the river filled the blood of myself and countless others. I held on to the log with all the strength I could muster, but my heavy armor was sapping what remained of my strength. I began to lose my grip when a smoking white hand reached out and grabbed me from the brink of death. The hand pulled me too the shore and laid me on the bank. I was cold and numb from the river, I laid there and the only thing I could do was open my eyes enough to see my rescuer. He had fair features and smooth skin and long flowing hair to his shoulders. His body was incased in beautiful silver armor with gold leaves across it. The back of his right hand was covered in a field of small green emeralds. He looked like something from another plane because he was surrounded by a pale flame and spoke in a soft wavy tone.

Brave warrior, you have traveled far and your soul is battered and weary. But it is not yet your time to pass to this world. I can save you if you can fulfill one request for me. For I was too a warrior like yourself, soaring down to my enemies and bringing swift wrath to them in the name of the south. I received this set of armor that you see upon this ghostly form of mine, but I was laid low by a devastating disease and was set to rest before I could bare it proudly into battle. I was buried not far from here in that armor. If you wish to continue on this plane and receive a second chance at life, then I wish for you to unbury that armor and bare it proudly and make your enemies cower in fear the way I could never. Will you except my charge?

I didn’t have the strength to reply but my eyes told him my answer. I would accept his charge and proudly bare his armor.

Very well, then. I see your answer and wish you luck in your new life.

He closed his eyes and pressed his hands to my chest and then his very being began to pull apart into little beads of light and they began to stream into my body filling my body with light. I felt the gash on my side close and my broken bones heal, the light filling my veins with new life. Eventually his body faded away and only left an outline of his form. Before it faded completely I heard a par of words born on the wind.

...Issui... Kousei...

I stood with renewed strength and flexed my healed muscles and twisted and stretched my formerly battered frame. I looked around my current surroundings and saw floating balls of fluff drifting around me. I looked in the direction the spirit had showed me and saw an overgrown path going into the distance. It looked like it hadn’t been used in a quite a while. I started walking towards the path, my destroyed armor rattling from the many dents and destroyed pieces. I decided to abandon it there in homage to my rebirth. Once I removed the armor I piled it on the ground and walked off own the path.

I reached a mound of dirt sometime later with a rotting wooded tombstone. I looked around for a tool to dig with and saw a piece of bark laying on the round not far from where I was standing, I walked over and picked it up. I returned to the grave and began to dig. I dug for nearly an hour and came upon a wooden coffin. I pried it open and the armor was still in pristine condition, even though the body was desiccated and decayed, the armor seemed to repel the rot and death away from it. I pulled the armor from the ground and shook the remains from it. I laid it on the ground and admired its beauty. I noticed it also had a hooded cloak that also was in good shape for its age. I donned the armor and fastened the cloak around myself; I noticed a spear lying in the grave as well and I decided to honor the fallen warriors’ weapon as well. I closed the lid of the coffin and walked off in search of my past.

Just a note or two:

You'll want to go back to the Lancer class and double-check the body armor they wear, because I don't believe it's called a breast plate. I'd advise you fix that. ^_^

Secondly, now this is just something to mention, you don't need to change anything in your registration for this. But you can purchase birds and other pets once you acquire the level and the money. You cannot use the Hawk in your profile until you actually purchase it. Feel free to make reference to the bird in your stories, just don't hop on and fly anywhere. :P

Make the above change and you'll be all set. ^_^

Whoops, didn't see the Leather part. And Farmess is just a little ity bitty hawk. More like a companion than a pet really.

Okay, you're all set. Your starting realm is Avalon. So good luck, and happy questing. ^_^
