Hey there. First of all I'd just like to say that I'm greatful to those of you who continue to quest here even though the level of activity is... sub-par. I've been trying to find Asura so he can start working on getting our number of registrants up. But he seems to have disappeared.

As you can see across the top of the site, our banner is missing. I got it up on another image hosting place that was supposed to hold it for a year. But for some reason they're not hosting it anymore, or their site's down or something. So I'm going to have to try to find yet another location to host it until we get the new website up and running.

Also, another thing across the top of the site is the announcement about armor and weapons.

Now, Baerholn has been working on those for quite some time, and he finally finished the Armor a few weeks back, and got them posted. So please, if you want to buy Armor, buy a FerryBoat ticket to Rionoliathnu and you will buy your armor there. The armor shops in the other realms are going to be abolished shortly. The armor you all have now is invalidated and thus, if you could please go buy new armor, it would be appreciated.

However! Keep the invalidated armor you have on. In a few more weeks, when we get our shop-master back (Malignant) we will open up a Pawning Shop of sorts in the Rionoliathnu area where you will be able to sell your invalidated armors to us for money. Or you may keep them as a sort of testament to being here for beta testing and what-not. ^_^

Our next job is to revamp the Weapons and Items. This shouldn't be so much of a chore as the armor was for Baerholn. So hopefully that will be done before the month is out.

After all that is done we're going to destroy the old armor and weapon and item shops in the different realms and make "general stores" where you may go to buy the basic equipment that every class and every character gets when they start the game. The armor will be generic and all low level at the General Stores, as will be the weapons. The weapons will vary from realm to realm though. Items will also be sold in all General Stores.

I'm also working on some Special Events to be opened once we have some more applicants, and a Beastiary, so people know what they're fighting and have an idea of enemy capabilities. I may try to outfit the beastiary with drawn pictures by myself or another admin (whoever can do it best) but not with web-found images from other sites. We'll see what happens.

News on the new site:

As soon as I turn 18 (this Friday) I'm going to look into getting a credit card (since most of the internet requires one to purchase anything) and then I'm going to buy webspace and a Domain and get us our own forum and website. If the forum doesn't work out so well due to bandwidth issues, then I'll revert the forum back to this site. But a lot of the information you find on this forum will be moved to the site to make things less complicated for new applicants. But this can't start until I turn 18, sorry for the wait. When I make and move the forums, there will be a breif period of downtime while I get all the rules and stuff we've done transcribed over. I'm gonna need lots of admin and member help with this. So if you can help, please make it known so that when the time comes we can get the help we need so everything will get done quickly. ^_^

So that's what's going on right now with the Administration. We're very undermanned right now, Malignant is gone, as is Asura, and Baerholn is incredibly busy lately with college stuff. So pardon our lack of updates and things lately, and thank you for sticking with us. ^_^

But just so you know, we are doing things! :D

It still will be interesting to see what happens from here on out...As for Asura...Um I have no clue either...I might stop by to see what happened, but best guess would be that he is with his father, or something like that...

Oy! I am returned! Which means, time to get back to weapons...or rather, time to get started on them. The swords as they are set up in Avalon will all remain the same, and I'm leaving the elfy weapons to Derhlith because, well, that's more of his specialty. Chances are that other weapon categories won't have nearly the selection that the swords will have. The reason for this is that swords come in many more documented variations than just about any other type of weapon next to guns. So I'll most likely be making up a few myself to fill out the other lists; axes are an example of this. I mean, how many different kinds of axes can you think of? Wait, don't answer that. Have faith though, for if I do make up my own names, I won't put anything up for sale that wouldn't be realistic or otherwise plausible on the battlefield. Also, level restrictions for weapons will probably go down, as did the armor level restrictions. The reason for this change is that most warriors would be able to afford a basic set of armor, but only the most adventuresome (as in, those on higher levels) would likely have the spiffy stuff. So if you want it, well, there will be circumstances set up. For now though, it's pretty much what's in the shops that you can get a hold of. PM me with any suggestions on just about anything if you've got them, but keep in mind that in most cases the final decisions are made by the admins as a group. Well, back to work for me.

Yeah, I returned. But then I got a second job so...yeah. It's hard for me to have any real free time where I'm not on the phone or sleeping, lol. I don't get a day off from either job. If I'm not at one I'm at the other. I put in at least 55 hours a week, which is good for the paycheck (most of it is going into savings for when I move to Florida).

I think it's awesome that the forum is getting switched over to an ad-free area. I'd help if I could, but I just don't have the time right now. I'm excited to see where this goes, though. Even if it's only glimpses at it here and there when I have a little bit of free time (like now :P).

<_< About the disappearing, I'm back. I was gonna mention it, but I quite clearly forgot. I had to leave to visit family (YUCK!) in rural Vermont and New York over the past 2 1/2 weeks. Needless to say, I wasn't able to get any internet access.
