Title: Shadow Theives War
Description: Part I

Shadow - May 19, 2004 11:53 PM (GMT)
Shadow walked off the farry and strolled into the market. He didn't understand why he had come here becaues he knew it was death trap waiting to happen. But something inside him had pointed him this way so he had went for it. He thought of it as a final chapter in his "life quest". He stared around at the various objects on the tables. Fine blades from across the lands were layed around him. He look at all of them without emotion. His face was hiddin from the cloth and his eyes were stone cold. He kept moving forward, not really sure where he was going.

As Shadow moved past an alley, a *CLICK* sounded and before he could move or call for help the poison sept into his body from the his exposed hand. It was a lucky shot and the dart had barley nicked him. The dart opened the flesh and in an instant the posion emerged just by an inch hitting the cut. He swayed as he lost feeling in his legs then fell when he couldn't hold his weight. Before he closed his eyes a man walked up to him, smiling down at him with toothey grin.

Shadow awoke in a dimmly lit room. As his senses came back to him he noticed stone walls and chains. The chains were hooked to the ceiling. The shackels binded his hands and a loose bit of cloth tied his fingers toegether. He wiggled his fingers and the cloth untied and fell to the ground. There was nothing he could do to get the shackels off him so he devised a plan. When he was almost thinking it over a muscular guard with spiked hair and a black line going down the middle walked in. Shadow smirked, it was an old enemy.

"Hello again Shadow, long time no see." He spoke with a burly voice that suited him perfectly.
"Greetings to you too Demmin Nass, it is good to see you in good health." Shadow gave a little bow of his head.
"Don't give me that you backstabbing traitor," he spat in Shadows face," It dosen't matter though now, your trapped and you'll pay for what you've done." He slapped Shadow across the face then drew his sword. He pointed it at his neck, the tip centimeters from his throat." Once the master has done with you what he wants, I will claim you and beleive me you will wish for the master to take you back."

Demmin left the room leaving Shadow with his thoughts and his plan.I've gotten myself into a lot of trouble. Better be ready. He thought about what complex he might be in. It certainly wasn't the main one becaues the cells would have looked better then this. That was the masters way. He like to trick his prisoners that he was nice before slaughtering them. Shadow stared at the steel door and hoped he could escape. He made himself comfortable, which was fairly hard becaues he could barley touch the floor and was standing on his toes. Somehow we feel asleep and had nightmares for what would happen if he couldn't escape.

Shadow - May 29, 2004 07:07 PM (GMT)
Shadow awoke again, this time to the sound of metal on stone. He shook his head, trying to get his bearings again. When he was almost ready, the big metal door was pushed open. In steped the guard with a newly sharpened large axe. The blade could probably cut through anything...maybe even steel. Shadow thought has he looked at the guards face, a wide, toothless grin spread across it.

"Time to die you little traitor," his face come so close to Shadow's that he was breathing on him, " I hope you liked your short life..fool." He laughed a blood curtiling laugh.

"Wrong move buddy." Shadow said in a low voice. A smirk across his face. The guard looked at time with a confused countenace. He then glanced up and saw that Shadow was wriggling his fingers.

"NO!" The guard yelled, swinging the axe with wild fury...and fear. He swung at Shadow head, but he ducked and the axe hit the chain, severing it and sending steel everywhere. Shadow finished his spell and launched a Flame Blast directly at the guards face. It hit square on and howled in pain. He fell to floor, still screaming. Shadow stepped over his wriggling body, getting the keys as he went. He unlocked the shakels around his wrists. They clattered to the floor. Next the the door was his staff. He went to secure it, then released a small Clensing Falls, whiping it clean. He looked it up and down before deciding it was ok to use. He then hurried out the of the dengeons, into the upper levels of the small complex.

I know where im going...I know where im going... He kept telling himself over and over as he ran down hall ways, searching for the stairs to the Grand Room. The Grand Room was the room at which the Master slept and dwelled when he came to visit. He know a rope was there and could probably slide down it, using his cloak. He ran for hours it seemed before he heard vocies. He followed them and there he found 3, lightly armored, guards. Just like the one in the dungeon, only more dignified. He stalked them silently, using his training as a Shadow Theif. He paced them easy, listening to there conversation.

" I hear that the Master is comeing for a visit. Yup, heard he was coming to see the traitors head on a pike. Heh, I would hate to be in his shoes." One of them commented.

"Yah," the guard got a sick look on his face," hate to clean that cell though, I heard the guard sharpenin' his axe. That things so powerful, it'll go right through the fools bones." He snickered.

That was enough. Shadow advanced slowly, making sure none would see him. He ducked behind them and started to wriggle his fingers. " Don't worry," he called, " you won't have to clean up the blood!" He finished his spell and sent a Clensing Falls their way, knocking them from their. He heard a crack of one of the guards spines. The other was on his feet again, drawing his daggers. He did a little dance, hoping to scare off Shadow. It only emused him.

The guard inched forward, still doing the dance. Power swelled in Shadow. He moved his fingers in a awkward way. Not knowing where it came from. As if it were some dorment power, just awakened. He glanced up at the guard, he had stopped moving. Then the room darkened. Lamps went out. The guards eyes darted around nervously. Fire at of no where, sprang up at the gaurd feet in a small circle. Shadow gazed in awe. The ring of fire moved up the guards body, slowly close in. It reached his chest and then there was no more room. The fire touched him, anb burned right through his armor, through his cloths. His mouth dropped. The fire kept moving, up and in. It sliced through him like a blade. Once part of the fire went through, it went out. Then it started again this time going through the other side of his body. Time went on and soon the guard was burned to a crisp from the waist high. He crumpled to the ground, his top half of his body turning to ash and shattering as it hit the floor.

Shadow slumped down on a wall. What kind of power was that? He asked him self.
