Chaos - April 27, 2004 12:41 PM (GMT)
The wind was blowing silently and brushing softly against the face of Chaos. The lancer smirked as he continued his journey, he needed money though and if he did not have any then he would most likely die. As he continued on the sound of civilization grew louder and louder until the lancer noticed that he was in a town of magnificent beauty. Chaos just stood there in awe for a couple of seconds while people came from behind and in front of him and passed by as if he were not there. It was all strange, but Chaos knew that this would not be like his hometown where everyone knew each other. It would be much different then that. “Well it seems I have finally reached by destination. It is about time. I was about to have to search for food.” Chaos whispered to himself as he started walking in the town.

A strange wind then began to blow. Chaos then looked to the sky to see strange storm clouds moving in. “It is about to rain. I better find a place to sit then.” Just as he finished talking, the sun was blocked out by gray clouds and small drops of water came plummeting down from the sky. This in turn made the lancer wet and cold. He looked around to see no one on the streets anymore. He continued walking to where he found a humongous board with all different kinds of messages on it. One though, sparked his attention as he was skimming over it. “Seems someone is in dire need of assistance. I guess I can go and help. It will give me enough experience in real battle. “Pit Pat Pit Pat” were the sounds of the sounds that the rain made as it formed puddles and rain drops hit the puddles one after another.

Chaos smirked as he read it and then turned around trying to figure out where to go to get to the outskirts of the Outer Rim. It was all confusing, but there had to be a map around somewhere of this place. It says it was thriving which means a lot of people went there so it has to be here on this huge map. Chaos thought as he moved to the left some little ways trying to study a map. Then he saw it. The forest named Gilthad was on the map and Chaos had to go through that forest to get to his destination so he turned in a complete circle and headed toward the boats still soaked in water. His blue cloak had been turned a dark blue by the water and also his blond hair was straight which meant it was in his eyes. Brushing his hair in different ways Chaos watched drops of water flow down his hand and finally fall off onto the concrete ground. He looked up and started looking at the signs on the boat to see where each one led to.

Chaos finally found the one he was looking for and smirked as he looked up to see the captain standing in the rain with a pipe in his mouth as if he were waiting for Chaos to come. As he stepped on the boat, the Captain began to speak with his voice that boomed like the thunder. “So we have a little elf who is going to Gilthad, what a surprise. I always thought you creatures were weak and stupid.” The captain said as he laughed at Chaos. A small flare began to erupt in his eyes, but Chaos thought what he wanted to say in his head. What an ignorant buffoon. Very ignorant.

Elither Daegovad - April 27, 2004 08:22 PM (GMT)
The wind was blowing through the forest violently, making branches stretch downwards, almost snapping. A dark green cloak billowed in the wind, and out of the forest as a cloaked man walks towards an Inn at the edge of the great forest. A clatter of dishes from the Inn broke, and rung through to the outside, as the Inn keeper came out yelling, carrying a broom stick.
"Get back yeh' monster!" The old dwarf cried, poking the man with the stick. The cloak was pulled from the man's head, to reveal a pale face. "Monster? You haven't seen a monster yet, old fool." Elither said, Snatching the broom from the dwarf.

A few minutes after the small ordeal outside, Elither and the old dwarf walked inside. Sitting down, Elither looked to the dwarf; he was quite terrified, and very paranoid. Elither smirked, and slipped his right hand slowly inside his cloak, rummaging around for a moment. Withdrawing a small piece of parchment, Elither handed it to the old dwarf. "Ah, yes, yes. I've been wondering if anybody would come.." The dward said, a large grin coming over his face.
So he is in dire need.. First he tried to attack, then he looked at me with dispise.. Now he's all cheery.. Indeed this will be interesting..
"Well, this says it all!" The dwarf cried, rushing over to the bar. After a few moments he came back with two jar's of dark liquid. "What is this?" Elither said, eyeing it. "Oh, its my own concoction. Good ol' whiskey mixed with my own special ingredient. Nothing to worry about though, its safe, its safe." The dwarf replied, handing the jar to Elither. Elither took a small drink of the alcohol, and coughed slightly. "Good.. stuff." he said, setting the jar down.

"The plead said 3 men. Are you going to wait?" The dwarf asked, looking to Elither with a slight grin. "Well, it looks like it, doesn't it?" Elither replied, stretching his arms over his head for a moment. "What's a room cost, anyways?" He added. "Staying here? Why? You'll whind up dead." The Inn-Keeper replied, scratching his head nervously. "I might, I might not, who knows. But I'm tired, I've travelled Outer-Rim in search of this place six days straight, with no sleep." Elither stated, flicking the jar. "Well.. Since you're doing this job for me, it'll only be... 50 gold." The dwarf said, smirking. Elither grunted slightly. "You do realize the sign only said 25, right?" He spoke, glaring at the dwarf.
"Well, I have to make a living, don't I? You're the first costumer in a week." Said the Dwarf, getting off the chair. "Fine, fine, here's your damned money." Throwing a pouch of gold down, Elither snatched the key from the dwarf's hand, and made his way to the room, awaiting whoever would aid him in the search of whatever has been happening.

Elither Daegovad - May 6, 2004 09:36 PM (GMT)
Elither's feet lightly clunked against the wooden steps, in the stair-case. He yawned lightly, stretching his arms, looking around... The place was crappy. How the old Dwarf managed to stay in business, Elither didn't know. He stepped onto the second floor landing, and looked around, trying to find room 9... The place was so dusty, he could barely see the numbers. But he managed to find it, the 9 had a small gleaming spot of gold. Walking to it, he pulled his cloak off, letting his white hair fall down onto his shoulders. He tried to open the door, but it was locked. "Damned Dwarf." Elither muttered, using the key to put in the keyhole. The lock made a small clicking noise, as he turned the key, unlocking it. Pushing the door open, he coughed at the stinch of mildew, and dust. It was lingering all around. Shaking his head, he grabbed a match that was laying beside the lantern in the bracket on the wall, and struck it against the door, closing it. The match smoked, then a flame had burst from the tip. Turning the Lantern on, he lit the wick, causing it to flicker into life. The room was brightened by the light, and unfortunately showed how unfitting it was. The bed was covered in at least an inch of dust. "Well, he sure does take care of his customer's" Elither spoke sarcastically, tossing the key onto the bed. A small puff of dust flew up into the air because of it.

Elither walked over to a wooden straight backed chair, and grabbed it, lifting it off the floor. He walked over to the one window in the room, and sat the chair down infront of it, sitting down. His eyes scanned the outside, waiting for anything to come up to the Inn, whether it be friend, or foe. While waiting, he folded his cloak up, sitting it on the window sill, along with his FlashBlade, sheath, bow, and quiver. Neatly stacked, he admired his possesions for a moment, before yawning, and closing his eyes for a short moment. The creaking of floor boards sounded into his ears, in which he quickly opened his eyes, turning to look at the door. "God damned floor boards.. They need replacing.." The old Dwarf croaked, Opening a room, Elither thought it must be the old Dwarf's living area, while he wasn't tending to the Inn.. probably the only decent room there was. Sighing slightly, Elither rubbing his chin, feeling the small beard coming in.

Calondriel Windrunner - May 8, 2004 02:47 PM (GMT)
Slowly walking along the muddy road leading into the forest, Cal notices a small innhouse nestled in a small green grove. He walks inside the house, a old and creaky looking dwarf says a semi-cheerful hello to him and invites him into the bar room for a drink. Glancing around the dusty dilapidated room he is in, Cal notices something. Over in the corner there is a small dagger with elvish runes in it. Turning the knife over in his hand he realizes that the thing will never be able to withstand puncturing armor. The runes on the blade translate into "This blade belongs to Arissa." Staring at the runes, Cal realizes that his beloved was an elf from here in the outer rim. He weeps like a child over his lost love. Crying and blubbering into his arms, Cal nurses a glass of strong dwarfish ale that the inkeep treats him to. A few people were in the room, none of them were staying in the inn. Asking why there was no one staying in the inn Cal wanders over to the dwarf. Instead of telling him, he points to where a note is tacked to the wall. The note reads,

Client: Inn-Keeper Alroth Gathor.

Task: Along a trail, just outside one of Outer-Rim's most ancient forest, Gilithad, A small inn once thriving with business, is now in a large problem. Lately their customer's have appeared dead just days after they've left. This is causing quite a large problem for Inn-Keeper Alroth Gathor, an old Dwarf. His reputation in hopsitality for customer's seems to be dwindling now. Crying out for help, because the dwarf's bone's are too brittle to do the task, Alroth has to suck up his ancient pride, and ask other Dwarves, Elve's, or one of each to find, and end the problem. He's given all the profit he can afford to the brave, and skilled one's, and some clue's. Trails from where the bodies have been dragged out of the forest can be easily spotted. Cal reads the note carefully, and turns to the Dwarf to take the hire. "I would like to help you end your worries good dwarf." The descrition said that there is magic involved. Since Cal has no idea what magic is, he asks "What is the magic you are talking about Alroth?" The dwarf turns a bit pale and tells him what his ideas on what the thing wa doing with its victims. "I'm thinking that the thing be taking its victioms and using their essence for his evil workings, it leaves plenty of a trail to where it lives. The way it uses them is it cuts them and uses their blood to make potions of long life or..." Cal never hears waht the dwarf says after that because he is over in the corner vomiting in the potted plant. The old dwarf looks glumly at the young elf who was going to help him and mutters, "The boy is too young to be doing work like this."

He gets up and fetches Cal another tank of ale. He brings it over and holds out his hand. "I gave you one for free, but the rest is gonna cost ya." Cal saks to stay in a room and the dwarf replies,"It be 50 gold for a room, and since you be helping me, I'll let you have it as long as you need. Also each glass is 10, so for a hundred piece you get 4 more glasses hile youre here." Cal digs out the large gold 100 piece coin he has and takes the mug. HE sits at the table and drinks the mug slowly, so that the vomit taste would go away.

Asking if he can rent a room, which is easy enough, since no one wants to stay here, Cal walks down the cleanest hall in the building. Noting that the room where the dwrf stayed was marked with a sign that reads "Home Sweet Home," Cal moves down to room 11, where he was going to stay to wait for the others, if there were going to be others. The key had to be forced into the lock and the door nearly kicked down, but Cal makes it inside. His purse, being 100 gold lighter, gets thrown onto the bed, his bow and arrows go i nthe corner and he himself flops ontop of his money. He is asleep before he hits the bed.

((Ok i think this one works.))))

Chaos - May 12, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
Soon after the boat started off, it seemed like only a few hours before he actually arrived on the outskirts of an enormous forest. Exiting the boat, Chaos turned to the captain and punched him in the gut as hard as he could. The captain stood there looking at Chaos as if he were an alien from somewhere other than where he was actually from. Chaos then turned around and started walking off the boat as he heard the falling of the captain to the ground and gasping for air. “Do not talk about my kind again or you will surely perish before your words can be finished. Remember my name for with it destruction may come. My name . . . my name is Chaos of the Forgotten Heavens.” Chaos said as he got off the boat and turned and looked at the crew of the boat start to surround the captain and wondering what exactly happened. “Bugs like you need to be smashed more often.” Chaos whispered to himself as he made his way into the forest.

Small chirps from bugs came across as the silence was easily noticed. It seemed that the forest was barely inhabited and what little things did inhabit it were afraid of something. “It must be the mage destroying these poor creatures’ habitats and homes. I must put a stop to it for animals are kind creatures that have done nothing to upset a balance in human, elf, or dwarf kind. The hold secrets that we know not of. I must stop the mage at all costs.” Chaos said as he started a small jog while withdrawing his weapon from the sheathe on his back which held it. Holding the weapon by its wooden pole, Chaos looked at it fully and then with a small smirk leaped in the air. With his elvish senses, Chaos heard the squealing of an animal very distantly but also close. “There . . . ” Chaos whispered as he put all his weight toward his feet which made him start to fall from the jump. Hitting the ground Chaos found himself in front of a small animal. In Hac’s eye sight though, there was a small monster devouring the parent of the animal.

“Stop FIEND!” Chaos yelled as he ran up and jabbed his lance through the monster as it jumped back in anguish and pain. The small and wolf looking monster then yipped and ran away into the forest leaving the mother animal dead. Chaos then turned around toward the frightened baby animal and looked it straight in the eyes. “I know what it is like to lose a parent. You must persevere and escape. Grow and never come back for if you do that monster or its offsprings may kill you. Good luck to you.” Chaos said as he stepped up and started running back into the forest and turning his head every now and then to make sure the monster did not come back and to make sure the small animal left. As soon as he saw it scurry away, Chaos turned his sights back to the path in which he started in.

Following the path, Chaos saw that he finally arrived at the employer’s residence.

“Finally . . . ”

Elither Daegovad - May 30, 2004 12:42 AM (GMT)
The room that Elither Daegovad had bought for the night was dark, dark enough so that he could watch what happened on the outside, but no one could see inside. His chin was tucked into his chest, so that his glowing red eyes couldn't be seen very easily. Elither heard the Inn Keeper curse, moving downstairs. He had forgot to lock up. Chuckling to himself, Elither's attention went back to the window, staring out of it. His ear twitched lightly, as he heard more than one set of footsteps. Getting up from the straight-backed chair, he walked toward the door. Each time he stepped, dust kicked up from the floor, and into the air. "He could at least keep the damned rooms clean" Elither murmured, opening the door lightly. He watched the short, stocky dwarf pass by, before another elf did. Smirking, Elither nodded and spoke for a moment.
"Well, well. Seems one of my 'comrads' have come to aid me. And what is your name?" He asked the elf, who's name was Calondriel Windrunner. Elither didn't know that, because he had never heard of the elf. Before the elf could anwser, Elither's ears picked up a yelp from a large wolf in the forest. He rushed back to the window, picked up his FlashBlade, and hurried back out the door. Running down the spiraling staircase, Elither unsheathed his blade, and tucked it in beside him. The last stair creaked, as he jumped from it to the door. His white slinder hand gripped the brass knob tightly, as he jerked the door open, running outside. He watched as a figure came from the forest. Smirking, Elither nodded as he saw the Elf in the dim light of the Inn. "Well, the third has arrived." Nodding his head toward the Inn, Elither walked back, ushering the elf to follow. Opening the door, he walked in, greeted by the dwarf.

"Well!? What was it!?! Did you kill it!?" The dwarf asked, in suspense. "Hardly, old man." Elither spoke, and continued. "We need a table, with three chairs, or four, if you'd like to listen in." The dwarf nodded, and walked to a table with four chairs. He climbed into the chair, letting his grey beard flow down to the floor. "Be careful Dwarf, you might break a hip if you fall." Smirking, Elither sat in a chair, and looked to the other two, holding a hand out to each seat. "Time to get started with the information, and plan."

Elither Daegovad - July 26, 2004 12:00 AM (GMT)
Elither sat there at the table for at least an Hour, explaining to his two hopefully soon party members, and the old dwarf. The Dwarf's eyes widened with every minute, until his eyebrows almost dissappeared under the mat of his hair. But Elither noticed the look on Chaos', and Calondriel's faces. They didn't looked too excited, or even interesting. Instead, they looked as though they weren't wanting to be involved with what Elither was. "Well, that's about all that I know. He seems to be hiding out in that Forest. And he's taking the bodies with him. I don't know for what, and why, But I know that he is. There are several marks on the ground that indicates a heavy object being drug into that Forest, and People have been missing, when the last place they were seen, was walking out of this Inn. Now, you may leave if you wish, or you may stay. The choice is yours." With That, Elither closed his eyes for a moment, taking another swig from the bottle that the Dwarf had given him. But he opened his eyes, when he heard the dragging of a chair-- Someone had stood up. It was Calondriel, and he was staring at Elither.

"I don't think I'll join you on this one, Elither. Be my guest, and go and find the Mage. But I'm not. Good night." Calondriel said, turning his back upon them and walking to the door. He seized the doorhandle with his hand, turned it, opened it and departed. The next sound of chairlegs scraping the floor made Elither to look where the Dwarf went, but he instead found Chaos rising to his feet. Elither had the impression that Chaos was working his mind hard.
"Well.. Elither. Think about it. A Mage. In a forest. With just about anything he would ever need to summon. Beasts, plantlife, stones.. It's suicide, that is. I'll be seeing you around, if you make it out alive. Good bye." And with that, Calondriel departed as well.
It didn't look as though the Dwarf had heard the two. His eyes were still widened, and he hadn't moved an inch. Elither looked over at him. "What?" He said coldly, irritated by the look of the Dwarf. But a hand moved up, as the dwarf started to point near a darkened corner, which had been to Elither's back. Elither swiftly spun out of his chair, and onto his feet as a blade had slammed into the chair, where he was moments ago. A man stood, holding a Rapier. But it looked as though the man had been dead for weeks.. He may have. Elither drew out his Flashblade, and swiped at the hilt of the Rapier. His blade met the Rapier just as the man tried to pull it free from the chair. Elither used his upper body strength to keep the Rapier from moving an inch, while he sent a left knee up at the man's gut. His knee collided with the man's empty arm, which grasped his leg. "Shit!" Elither yelled, as the ox-like man lifted him from the ground by his leg. Elither used his free hand to throw a few wild punches at the man's head, and shoulders. Feeling his Knuckles start to bleed from the force of the punches, he Tried to kick at the Man's groin area. This time, Elither was sure it would have an effect, as his Boot made contact with the man's Testicles.. But Elither was wrong. The man's grayed face made no expression of Pain, but he gripped Elither's other leg as well. Before Elither could raise his blade, the man threw Elither against the wall with such strength Elither had not felt before. His back felt as though a Horse had been standing on it for hours, as he collided with the wall. If the wall had not been re-enforced with Stone, Elither was sure that he would have definately went all the way through it. Instead, he had been imprinted in the now splintered wall. The man let go, and Elither slid out of the hole made by himself, and onto the ground. Crumpled up in a heap of Cloak, Armor, and weapons, Elither looked up in time to see a large boot, as big as a plank shoot out at his skull. Elither brought his blade up to Intercept the foot. The retort had worked, like it had in his first Tournament match. The velocity of the own man's foot imapled it upon Elither's blade, as he thrusted it at the foot.

Even though the tip of his blade broke out of the foot at the top, the man's face showed no sign of Pain. Elither's mind started to come to a conclusion, As Elither Twisted the blade, to make the man's leg turn. With a last Forceful twist, the man was thrown from his foot, and onto the table. Elither kept the blade inside the man's foot, as he pulled out an arrow from his quiver, along with his Bow. Standing infront of the man, Elither knotched the arrow on the bow, and pulled it tight. "Dare to assassinate me?" Elither bellow coldly, releasing the arrow. In a split second, the arrow shifted positions from the bow, to being embedded into the man's skull. The man showed no sign of pain, but his eyes closed, and his flailing arms fell to his sides.

Elither Daegovad - August 17, 2004 06:07 PM (GMT)
Elither fell down into a chair, wincing from the pain in his back. A large piece of the splintered wood from the wall had pierced into his lower back, and he could feel the blood running down onto his legs, and staining his clothes. He cursed under his breathe, before looking at the Dwarf, glaring. “WHY didn’t you tell me he was behind me!?” Elither bellowed out suddenly, as the dwarf jumped out of his seat. He still had the terrified look on his face.
“I… Froze up with fright… Sorry.” The dwarf had mumbled, looking down to his hands and twiddling his thumbs. Elither continued to glare at the dwarf for a moment, before he spoke again. “Get me something to drink.” He demanded. The dwarf looked at him for a moment, before standing up off the chair and rushing toward the shelf with the alcohol, and pulling out a bottle of his own creation. He walked back to Elither and put it down in front of him, sitting down again. Elither pulled the cloak off that he was wearing, and grabbed the alcohol. Pouring the alcohol down his shoulder, the Elf winced from the pain that the alcohol caused when it touched the wound. But he continued to douse his back in the alcohol, until he felt that it was good enough, and put the cloak back on him, and stopped wincing after a moment. Elither picked the bottle up, and put it to his lips taking a drink, while he used a free hand to push the dead man off of the table. “Have any idea what happened to him?” Elither asked the dwarf, looking to it for a moment. The dwarf looked to him, and shook his head. “Whatever happened to him, it wasn’t pleasant…” The dwarf sat there for a moment, before realization hit him. “Hey! Wait a moment! That was one of the guys that disappeared from here!” He said, in exasperation. Elither raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking for a moment. “Well, whatever has taken over that man’s body, was done by something powerful… Very powerful.” Elither spoke, placing his chin in his hand, rubbing it for a moment. “Well, I better leave. I need to find where the Mage is that has cast that spell.” With that, Elither stood back up with one small wince, and went to the door of the Tavern, opening it, and left. He stood outside for a moment, taking in the fresh air before starting off for the forest.

He stopped at the front of the forest, looking up to the tall and very old trees. Thinking about it, Elither thought they were magnificent, and slightly out of place here. Elither tilted his head slightly, peering into the trees with his gleaming red eyes. He knew whatever it was that was controlling that man was in there. And he’d have to stop it, by all means necessary. Elither slowly stepped over a small bush, and walked into the dark and foggy forest. He unsheathed his Flashblade, and started to walk inwards, looking around carefully. Wondering to himself how far in he’d have to go, until he heard a noise. He turned his head slightly, but only saw a squirrel scuttle away on the forest ground in search of fallen nuts. Elither used his Flashblade to cut a few vines from his path, and continued onward, deeper into the cursed forest. The man that had attacked Elither had been very strong… Elither had never felt that much power in only one being before. The further Elither went into the forest, the further it had gotten darker, and foggier. Elither had to start summoning small animals, snakes, and squirrel’s to ask which direction he was going. He had really started to lose direction in the fog. But he kept going, his flashblade held outwards at all times in a defensive position incase anything had tried to attack. The only thing his short sword would run into, were occasional tree’s and vines. Elither wondered how much longer he would have to walk, before something came up…

Elither Daegovad - August 29, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)
Elither stood in one place for a moment. He had just stepped foot into a rather large, oval shaped clearing about three miles into the forest. The clearing seemed to have at least five path's coming, and leaving it. The oval shaped emptiness seemed to be at least fifty meters wide, and one hundred meters long. The fog was in there, but not as heavy as in the dense forest surrounding it. Elither took a small breath, before marching on, his feet lightly touching the dewed grass in the clearing. For some reason the grass was alot shorter than in the forest, and Elither took notice of this quickly. He searched his eyes around the large clearing, and spotted several drag-like trails going to and fro different entrances/exits. Elither knealt down lightly, and combed his hands over one of the path, sensing it was slightly different than the others. Whatever made this drag mark was very long, at least twelve feet in length.

And around the middle of the drag trail, the ground had been scraped, and sunken in lightly... Whatever had been drug had to be at least half a ton in weight... Elither stood up quickly, sensing something. He thought it was an animal.. But there was something else with it. He stood on spot, frozen for at least five minutes until whatever he was sensing had gone away. He let out a sigh of relief, and walked over left wall of the clearing, where trees had blocked any way's of things getting in and out. He walked up to the tree, and placed his back against the rough bark, and slowly slid down. As he slid down, his knees started to bend, his feet placed firmly on the ground. Finally his backside planted down on the dewed grass, his knees up to his chest. His chin was rested on his knees, his hands pressed against the ground as he started to think about that one drag trail. He couldn't think of anything right off the bat as to what could weigh so much in a forest. Then his ears perked up under the hood, as he sensed that strange feeling again. He went to stand up, but then it was gone again.

Elither had sensed it in a different direction though.. He was slightly perplexed by this. What the hell is that... Is it stalking me? Or is it just trying to find a way around the clearing.. Yeah.. Finding it's way around the clearing more like it.. That's sensible.. He told himself, groaning slightly from the pressure on his back, it still was sore from the slam into the wall. Elither leaned forward, and pressed his chest against his knees, and started to rub gingerly at his sore back, and at the spot where the large splinter of wood had been shoved into it. He removed his hand from his back, and leaned it against the rather rough bark of the sapling he was leaning against. Then the feeling of sense he had overwhelmed him.. Not only one thing was around this time, but two. One's aura slightly bigger than the other, but they were both extremely powerful, and almost identical.. Elither quickly looked around, and stood up so fast that his knees popped from the sudden movement. His head turned quickly inside the hooded cloak, as he looks around, trying to spot where he sensed the beings. Elither sighed, feeling both the aura's going away, yet again. They're toying with me.. I know it.. Elither thought now, as he sat back down against the sapling, sighing lightly to himself.

He should have known it from the beginning the beasts didn't seem like any others he's ever encountered before. Something unexpected happened rather quickly, catching Elither off-guard while he was in thought. The larger of the two aura's sprung up out of nowhere and quickly, behind him. Elither stood up, and turned around. Just as he turned around, a sickening crack sounded the forest as something broke the Sapling in two, sending the top ten feet or so plummeting down. Elither couldn't move in time, and the sapling slammed down onto his left shoulder. It drove Elither to the ground and on his knees his left arm falling limp to his side, the blow must have popped it out of its socket.

Elither winced heavily, shrugging the large piece of sapling off of him and to the ground beside him with a dull thud. Elither looked up, and saw the gigantic outline of a beast. The best slowly trotted into the clearing. First a gigantic brown paw stepped into the moonlight, followed by a second, then the brute head of the largest Grizzly Bear that Elither had ever seen. The brown fur was stained with blood, Elither didn't want to know what, or who's blood that might be. It's large lips were folded back, exposing its large canines, that had some blood dripping from them. But instead of the normal dark brown beady eyes, the bear's eyes were almost completely black, the moon reflecting in them. The width of the bear was massive, at least six feet from one side of it's large, round belly to the other. The legs and paw's of the bear was like small wooden pillars that belonged on some manor that a wealthy human owned, at least three feet around. The claws on the paws stretched far, at least eight inches, digging into the soft ground as it stalked toward Elither.

The bear gave a large roar as it sent a swipe out across the ground. The Bear seemed to have drawn a long gash like line in the ground, as though daring Elither to cross it. Before Elither could think of what the do, the hind legs of the bear stepped just behind the line as it reared up onto the back legs, the muscles in the legs tensing up to support the weight of the giant. The bear seemed to be a little over Twelve feet tall on two legs, and Elither started to think.. That long trail that was around that width, and how it had dug into the ground by something heavy.. It fit right into Place. Elither quickly pushed himself up off the ground, and pulled his FlashBlade out of the sheath. Before he could make any attack with it however, the bear sent a swipe quickly with forceful power at the blade, smacking it out of Elither's hand. The blade soared into the air around fifteen feet before plowing into the ground the blade dug around six inches down into the dirt.

Blood dripped steadily from Elither's hand and arm, as the bear's claws had ripped through his clothes, and gloves, and into his flesh. The blood stained the ground, as Elither looked the bear in its eyes for a moment. Something was extremely odd... Elither could easily control even this size of a beast… Yet this one he couldn't. [i] Why can't I...?[/] He questioned himself for a split second, before suddenly moving his body toward the Flash Blade. But even from the bear's bulk-ness, it was extremely fast. It rushed at Elither, and bowled him over. Elither felt a rib crack from the force of the collision. Being toppled over backwards several times, Elither stopped ten feet back from the position he was, in a heap of clothes, limbs, and blood. The bear seemed to have lightning quick reflexes, a few gashes were now in his stomach from a very quick strike from one of the front paws.

Elither's body moved some, as he moved his head out from under his cloak, to look at the bear. It was now looking at him, stalking from left to right, occasionally swiping its gigantic paw against the ground. Elither grasped his gut for a moment, feeling blood flow at a very rapid pace. Wincing, he stood up a bit unfocused, and a bit dazed. He recovered soon, and looked down to his right side to see his FlashBlade. The bear had accidentally knocked him to it. Smirking, Elither reached down, grasped the hilt of the short-sword, and wretched it up out of the ground, and back where it belongs: His hand. Elither held it out in-front of him, pointing the sharp tip toward the bear. The bear let out another roar, and advanced menacingly upon Elither. Quickly lunging at the bear’s right side, Elither sent a quick slash out at the bear’s trunk like right front leg.

Blood spilled to the ground as the blade ripped through fur, flesh, and muscle down to the bone. The blade did further damage by scraping down against the bone as Elither landed into a roll, tearing more muscle from the bone. The blade was pulled free of the Bear’s leg as Elither rolled at least ten feet behind it, and onto his own feet, quickly turning around to face the bear. The bear did not roar or yelp in pain, but just turned around slowly, a large limp now forming and causing his movements to be lopsided. Its cold black eyes staring beadily at Elither, as though saying that he’ll regret every cutting its leg, Elither smirked lightly, and backed away some, against another sapling. The bear advanced almost as quickly as before, and sent a swipe at Elither’s right shoulder. Elither moved to the left, bringing his body away from the plate-sized paw. The paw collided with the sapling, and a sickening crack was heard as the Sapling was ripped apart by the paw and claws.

The Sapling nearly hit Elither, landing around six inches by his left side. Elither was now stuck in between the fallen sapling, and the bear. The bear went for another swipe at Elither, charging at the same time. But Elither was too fast, he leapt over the fallen sapling and the bear’s injured leg had took a heavy toll on the Bear’s movements, the bear charged into the sapling and was tripped by the wood. The bear’s snout went down into the ground as its heavy body slowly toppled forward. For one moment the one thousand plus pound body rose into the air upside down, and landed back first. Elither quickly used this as an advantage, and sent his blade into a stab downwards at the Bear’s under side. The tip of the blade drove through the thick fur, and into the mass of muscle and fat in its gut. Elither drove the blade down more, into its intestines, but the bear sent one of its heavy paws at Elither. Elither’s body was thrown to the side as the paw smashed into the side of his head. Blood instantly stained the cloak as gashes along his head appeared. Even his slightly pointed ear had a gash along it.

The blade was still lodged into the Bear’s underside as it tried to roll over. But when it rolled over onto its legs, the blade only dug in further. The bear toppled over sideways, unable to keep balance with the blade impaled into its gut and intestines. Shaking his head, causing the blood to splash off of his face and out of his eyes, Elither slowly staggered to his feet, half blind from the blood that had ran into his eyes. He looked highly unfocused because of the blow, to the blurred outline of the bear that had keeled over.

Walking over to the almost helpless bear, Elither was very cautious around the bear’s paws. Even though it couldn’t stand it, it still had one hell of a strike with them. Smirking, Elither bent down to grab a hold of the FlashBlade. But he had under-estimated the bear’s flexibility. With one quick movement, the bear had leaned its massive head and jaws down, and clenched down onto his arm with the powerful bite. Yelling, Elither twisted the blade quickly, severing the intestines apart. He jerked the blade upwards, causing his arm to be further elapsed inside the bear’s mouth as the blade ripped through its stomach and into its chest. The blade broke through the chest cavity, and the bite released from his arm as the bear’s head plummeted to the ground. With a thud, the bear fully keeled over, and died. Panting heavily, Elither Jerked the blade from its massive corpse, and fell down onto his rear end, trying to gain his breath back, and pull his cloak off. He ripped the cloak apart, and started to use straps of the cloth to tie tightly around his arm, and the rest of his wounds. He didn’t tie one around his head though. In order to tie one around that wound, he’d blind himself doing so.

Sighing, Elither started to wipe his blade against the short grass in the field, wiping the bear’s blood off. Almost immediately Elither bolted upright onto his feet. Something that he had completely forgot about re-entered his train of thought. The second feeling of a presence he had felt before shown itself once again. Even though he could tell that it was a smaller being than the bear, its strength was just about as great as the bear’s was. Looking around, Elither spotted where the creature was. Just east of where he stood, in the dense tree’s around the clearing, lurking. Elither narrowed his eyes at that spot, before looking back to the Bear. From the size of both of their auras earlier, it seemed that the bear was around twice as large as the one that was lurking now.

Elither tied the last strip of cloth around his body tightly, slowing the blood flow that was on his side. He panted some more, his breath harsh. When the tree had struck him it must have caused a rib or two to crack or break. The presence got closer, and Elither turned quickly to look at it. Two dark, but glowing blue eyes formed in the darkness of the trees, before two black paws stepped into the open. The form of a rigid black Panther stepped into the clearing. Elither looked at it, examining it quickly. The Panther looked starved, almost every bone showing. But the muscles that were still on it were massive. Its legs weren’t too much smaller than the bear’s were, and that’s quite a feat. Elither quickly pulled his short sword back toward his body, pointing the tip at the Panther.

The Panther had started to prowl in a large circle around Elither, in a stalking manner. Elither turned his head as far as he could, without breaking his neck as he watched the Panther… But he had to turn his body to face it. He couldn’t allow himself to leave the Panther an opening so it could try and strike. It seemed to be a draw for a moment, the two beings staring holes into each other as the Panther stalked around and around Elither, Elither himself turning around to meet the Panther’s body. The Panther came out of the stalk into a very quick, and powerful pounce at Elither, retracting its three inch claws out toward Elither. Elither sidestepped the beast quickly, and sent his Flash Blade out toward the Beast’s chest.

The Panther swiped the blade away with its right front paw, and landed slightly crouched before flicking its long tail and turning toward Elither. The Panther stared at Elither, as though trying to calculate his movements, before it stalked away, back toward the place it had came from. If Elither would have moved to follow it, he would’ve already been late. The Panther merged with the darkness of the forest, and disappeared. But, a sound could be heard. Not a very loud sound, but more of a warning. A clawing sound against bark; The Panther was climbing up into a tree. Narrowing his eyes, Elither tried to use his advanced sight to see the Panther, but even his incredible elf sight could not. After a moment, the sound stopped, but another sound could be heard. The rattling noise of a branch being shook. A few leaves dropped out of a tree around ten feet away from the tree the Panther had disappeared by. It seemed that the Panther had started to leap from tree to tree, stalking around Elither from a distance.

It had the advantage now… It could see Elither perfectly, his body silhouetted by the moonlight, while its body was covered in the shadows of the trees. Another branch rattled, quite a distance from the last. Elither had to actually change his body’s direction, to look at the spot that the leaves had fallen from. Elither sheathed his short sword, and pulled his Bow out, and two Arrows. He notched the arrows up onto his bow, and tightened the string, as he aimed with one eye between the spots of the tree that had just rattled, and the one next to it. He quickly released the string, causing both arrows to fly out and into the darkness. A sound came from the darkness, that meant that one of the arrows had hit solid wood. The other arrow… There was a second sound: A hiss. It seemed that his arrow had at least narrowly missed the Panther. The panther slowly climbed down the tree, and into the clearing, flicking its tail lightly. In the middle of the length of its tail, something caught Elither’s eyes. His arrow had shot straight through the tail, but had lodged in due to the end of the arrow.

Smirking, Elither quickly grabbed a second pair of Arrows and quickly notched them onto his bow, tightening the string and taking aim at the Panther. He flicked his thumb against both of the arrows, causing them to slightly slant to either side. If the panther moved to the left, an arrow would hit it, if it moved to the right, the second arrow would hit it dead on… But if it stayed in the same place, the arrows would tear along both its sides. Elither quickly released the string again, causing the second set of arrows to fly. The Panther was quick, very quick. It slapped one arrow away with its paw and claws, and went to do the same to the other arrow. But the second swipe wasn’t quick enough. The head of the arrow pierced into the middle of its paw just before it had tried to curl it up to paw the arrow away from the side. The arrow ripped through the paw, and the head of the arrow stuck out of the top. The Panther looked dead on at Elither, and thrust its paw to the ground. The Panther’s paw slammed into the ground, pushing the arrow all the way through its paw and out of it. Elither almost winced from the sight, but quickly went to draw another arrow. This time the Panther got the quicker hand.

It rushed at Elither and leapt up into the air, throwing its body harshly at Elither’s upper body. The Panther collided into Elither’s body, driving him backwards quickly as though a fallen tree had hit him. Elither’s back slammed into a thick tree, and his head was driven backwards toward it. The Panther landed on the ground in front of Elither, looking up as the back of Elither’s had was driven into the tree. For a moment he stood there, his eyes hazy, and glossy. Then his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and his eye lids closed, as his body fell forward. Blood slowly slid down the rough bark of the tree, it starting where his head had hit. Elither’s limp body fell onto the back of the Panther, straining it slightly. But the Panther quickly started to walk, toward the west and disappeared into the trees, with Elither’s unconscious body on top of it. Elither’s body snagged onto a few things here and there, causing the Panther to stop, and move slowly, until his clothing became un-snagged or one of his limbs did. Its eyes gleamed into the darkness as it trailed on, wherever its destination might be.

Elither Daegovad - September 9, 2004 07:58 AM (GMT)
What happened… It feels like my body is being crushed… My chest hurts so bad… What’s going on!?... I can’t breath!!! Elither’s eyes popped open. His chest felt as though a tree had fallen on it. His lungs felt as though they were collapsing, and his heart felt as though it had been squeezed by a pincer of some sort. His breathing came rapid, harsh, and short. His eyes were highly unfocused; he could only see a blur. The sight problem was due to the injuries he’s sustained, including the loss of blood, and it seemed also the loss of breathing. It seemed that every time he inhaled, his body was being crushed more. Elither looked frantically around because he had just felt a being present, extremely close.

Finally something came into his blurred view. Something moving in front of his face that was the thickness of a wooden post. Scales glided by, a forked tongue then a pair of gleaming yellowish eyes. Elither could tell what it was; A very large serpent. That’s why he couldn’t breath, why he felt as though he was being crushed. The serpent had wrapped its body around Elither, and a tree, and was attempting to either suffocate, or crush him. Elither tried not to breathe too much. Every time he took a breathe the coils of the serpent only got tighter around him and the tree. Elither could actually feel his ribs starting to crack and break under the strain. He tried to get a hand out of the coils, but it was no use. Yelling out, Elither thrust his head out toward the mass of one of the serpent coils. His forehead collided with the large coil, but it did no good.

Elither was now forced to use a cheap trick, but he was very desperate, he couldn’t breathe any more. He sunk his teeth down into the scales and meat of the coil. Within a few seconds of the bite, the massive head of the serpent came from his right side. The serpent wasn’t poisonous, no, it didn’t need to be. But what it did have was rolls and rolls of sharp, long fangs. The snake’s bottom jaw was opened wide, almost enough to swallow Elither’s head whole. The snake threw its head out into a quick and very powerful strike at Elither. The fangs sunk into the back and side of Elither’s head as his teeth were ripped from the body of the snake. His head was forced into the tree, before the snake released its powerful gripping bite. Elither’s head wobbled around a moment, the bite had nearly knocked him unconscious, but the coils woke him back up fully. He couldn’t get free… He was helpless… But then something popped into his head. He’d need to summon a creature to help him against this gigantic serpent. Elither closed his eyes, trying to concentrate on the area around him. He’d need to find something that’d distract the serpent’s attention, and loosen its coils. It was as though his mind had left his body, and was gliding through the forest in search.

His mind-sight passed a squirrel, a forest rat, a possum… Then it came to it. A Mongoose was searching around for food. This was one of the only things that serpents were afraid of, the mongoose being a snake’s natural enemy. Even though this snake was gigantic, the mongoose would still distract it hopefully. Help me Mongoose… Please… I need your help.. Elither thought to it. The Mongoose stopped in mid-scrounging and looked into the distance where Elither was. The Mongoose opened its mind to Elither, allowing it to be summoned. Elither used one of the first skills he was able to obtain, the Tame Woodlands, which allows him to control and summon small creatures up to the size of a wolf cub. The Mongoose was around the same size, so he’d be able to.

The Mongoose quickly shuffled its legs under it, running to the aid of the Beast Tamer. The serpent bound its long coiled body further against Elither and the tree. Either could feel several more ribs start to give. The Mongoose leaped up, and sank its claws into the tree. It quickly scattered the length of the large tree, until it was at Elither’s feet. He couldn’t see the Mongoose, but he could feel him. The Mongoose slowly crept up onto Elither’s body, its eyes gleaming some. When it made it to a coil, it opened its jaws. Its teeth sank deep into the coil of the serpent as the Mongoose bit down. Blood slowly dripped off the scales, and down the tree, a few dripping noises here and there as it splattered onto the ground. The serpent couldn’t strike at the Mongoose from where it was at, it didn’t have the reach. It had to slowly uncoil its trunk like coils from around Elither, and the tree. When it went to strike at the Mongoose, the Mongoose quickly scattered underneath the largest coil, in protection. In doing so, the serpent ended up sinking its razor like fangs inside one of its coils. Uncoiling some, it caused Elither’s body to almost literally inflate with life… He could breathe now. He tugged at his right hand, trying to free it. He pulled the arm out of the coil all the way to his wrist, but it was no good. His hand was pinned between the snake’s coils and the tree, balled into a fist. He didn’t have the room to release the fist. He tugged again, but it was still no use. The mongoose came out from under the coil, and lunged out at the serpent’s gigantic spade like head while it still had its jaws sunken in itself.

The Mongoose sunk its fangs into the right yellow piercing stare like eye, and caused blood to slowly seek out. The Serpent’s large head flailed around some, as the Mongoose continued to claw and gnaw at the head. The coils loosened just enough… Elither managed to free his hand from the grip of the coils. He reached behind his back and grabbed two arrows from the quiver, luckily the arrows hadn’t snapped yet, though the quiver was being crushed. He inclined his hand and arm above his head, and thrust down upon the large trunk like coil of the snake. The two arrows hit against the scales. After a split second, the arrow-heads broke the tough scales, and dug deep into the muscle and meat of the coil. Elither gathered all the strength that still subsided inside his body and jabbed them deeper.

The arrows went as deep as they could, out of that coil and into another. The coils suddenly tensed around Elither and the tree, then they stretched out very quickly, as though expanding, but they were not. They were uncoiling with a lot of strength in the muscles. Elither was pinned against the tree for one moment, long enough to hear the snap of the two arrows as the Serpent moved the coils apart. Then suddenly, he fell.

His back kept hitting bark, and he’d sometimes hit large branches upon the descent of his body. He hit a rather large branch with his upper body, which threw him into a very twisted state. His body was turning over on edge, but his body was also twisting this way and that from the force…. Then he hit. It felt as though a very large animal had just run right into him. His body actually bounced off the ground a few inches, before landing once more. Blood trickled out of his nose, and a few teeth were sticking out of the front of his lips from the impact. He groaned in pain, laying there not making a movement. It felt like he had laid there for an hour, though he knew it must’ve only been a minute. He moved his arms, and it sent a very strong chill of pain coursing through his body, as he pressed the palms of his hands down onto the ground. Using all the strength he could muster into his arms, he slowly pushed himself up, and onto his knees. When he did this, quite a few parts of his body let out loud cracks, as though some bones popped back in place. He was gasping for breathe, the fall knocking the wind out of him. Then suddenly a loud thud rang in his ears, as something fell to the ground at his side. Looking over, Elither saw the Mongoose that had saved his life, dead.

Hundreds of teeth mark’s on its body, blood steadily flowing out of the wounds. Elither bowed his head down. “Thank you for coming to my aid, I will be forever in debt of you… I am sorry that I could not help you when the time came that you needed it.” He looked back up to the Mongoose, before something else dropped to the ground, right around his body. He saw the coils start up, closing in on his body. Quickly he reacted on instincts, and unsheathed his flash Blade. Just as the coils had gone to wrap tightly around his body, Elither thrust the blade deep into the ground, sharp edge outwards toward the coils. The coils gave a jerk, and suddenly stopped. A large pool of blood began, as Elither looked up. The bottom coil had caught on the blade, and from the force of the coils trying to wrap themselves that fast the blade had ripped right through half the coil. The Serpent’s head came into view as the coils stretched out into a single, massive line. The snake was retreating. Elither quickly grabbed his bow, and an arrow.

The Serpent was almost out of view… notching the arrow onto the bow, Elither took aim. He’d have to aim around the middle of the serpent, it was moving extremely fast. Focused, and aiming properly, Elither pulled the string as tight as it could be then released it. The Arrow broke the air around it, causing a very swift sound, then a very loud thud against tree. Elither could barely see where the arrow hit, but he could still see it. The arrow had caught onto the end of the Snake’s tail, where the Flash Blade had almost severed it. He could see muscles trying to pull free, but he doubted it was any use. Pulling out another arrow, Elither notched that one up as well, and took aim. Suddenly the head and the massive body of the snake came out of the darkness into a very quick and powerful strike at Elither’s right shoulder. Elither laughed loudly at its attempt, thinking it wouldn’t be enough. But what he hadn’t counted on was the end of the serpent’s tail to be ripped off, allowing the snake to bite down on Elither’s right shoulder. Elither faltered backwards from the force of the strike, wincing heavily as the large spade head of the snake was latched onto his right shoulder. Blood started to flow down his body from his right shoulder.

Elither could feel the Serpent trying to coil itself around him. Elither continued to wince, and put an arm up over his head, because he couldn’t stop the coiling, but he’d need a free arm in case he had anything planned. He felt his legs being forced together, as the massive body of the Serpent coiled around them. It only took three coils to cover his six foot tall body; they were gigantic. Elither didn’t bother to struggle he knew it was no use. He closed his eyes, trying to breathe in and out as little as possible, but still getting the air he needed. The Serpent’s head was in front of him, two feet away looking right at him with the one piercing yellow eye, watching Elither beginning to be crushed. Elither opened his eyes, and smirked at the Serpent, showing no fear to the beast. He stared the Serpent right in its single eye, resting his arm on the top coil, tapping his fingers against it thinking.

He felt the muscles of the coils tighten up around his body, starting to suffocate him. The coils squeezed around him more, causing the one arm that was inside the coils to be crushed against his body. He winced, but continued to look the Serpent square in the face. Pulling his hand away from the coils, he reached around to his back. Smirking, he withdrew two arrows, and looked around. His bow was lying on the ground a few feet away. He held the arrows in his hand, and placed one on a coil. He used the other one to thrust down against the coils, like he had before. The arrow drove through the rough scales and deep down into the coil, and into the second coil. The Serpent moved it’s heard toward him… Just a few inches closer, it was just out of his reach… Its long forked tongue sprouted out of its mouth, and felt around for a moment.

Elither reached out and grabbed the forked tongue, yanking on it. The Serpent hissed, and tried to pull its tongue back. Elither smirked, but winced at the same time as the coils wrapped tighter around him. Shaking his head, he yanked harder at the tongue, trying to lure the Serpent forward. Finally, the Serpent’s gigantic head slowly lurched forward, just over a coil. Its neck rested just onto of the coil. Elither grabbed the arrow quickly off the coil, and thrust down at the Serpent’s head. The problem with this was that he didn’t have the time to aim. The arrow instead pierced into the neck of the Serpent, and dug down past the muscles, cartilage, and pierced the coil. The head of the Serpent struggled, but it couldn’t dislodge itself from the coil. Elither smirked and reached a hand out to the head. He grabbed the top of its head, and pressed his thumb inside the bleeding eye-socket. The Serpent hissed, as his thumb disappeared inside the socket, blood coming out more and more now. The bottom two coils released, snapping the first arrow in half. The last of the Serpent’s tail whipped around, trying to hit him.
Smirking even more, Elither moved his hand over, and pressed his thumb against that eye.

The eye seemed to have contorted to shape his finger for a moment, until it popped. His finger sunk into the busted eye, and eye socket, causing dark red blood to flow down the head, and onto the coil. The blind Serpent gave a very powerful jerk, trying to get away from the clutch of his hand. He heard the sickening snap of his arrow, as its neck and the top coil separated from each other. The snake uncoiled the last coil from him, and slithered away. Elither dropped down to his knees for a moment, and caught his breath. He quickly snatched up the bow, and retrieved an arrow from his quiver. Notching the arrow up on the bow, he took aim at the head of the snake. Except this time he got up and ran forwards, toward it. He stepped on the middle of the snake, and aimed instead right in front of his foot. He pulled the string tight, and released it.

The arrow impaled the snake onto the ground. Elither kept his foot there, and grabbed two arrows this time. He moved down the body some, toward the head. He flicked both arrows, and notched them at an angle on his bow. Pulling the string tight, he released it again. Both arrows impaled the body three feet apart against the ground. He let his foot off the Serpent, and slowly made his way to the head of the Serpent. Though the Serpent was blind, it could feel the vibrations near from his foot. The Serpent suddenly lurched out at his foot with a quick strike. The fangs sunk down into his leather clad foot, and dug into his skin.

Wincing, Elither used his other foot to kick the Serpent’s head. He caught it square in the right eye socket with his foot, but the teeth only sunk in deeper. Elither tried to yank his foot away, but the fangs started to rip deeper, and cut his foot open even more. Elither grabbed an arrow, and notched it up onto his bow, and took aim… He had no choice. He used his hand and reached over, grabbed his Flash Blade. He brought it over his head for a moment, then down upon the Snake’s body. At first the blade just grazed off the scales, but he continued to slice at the Serpent’s body. It grazed off again, then finally broke through the scales, and dug half an inch deep. He continued to slash at the spot he opened up, making it deeper and worse every single time. Finally the Serpent let go and tried to slither off, but the arrows held it in place. A large puddle of blood had even started to form around the giant Serpent’s mouth. Smirking, Elither started to chop at the body some more. He broke through the spine of the Serpent, causing the Serpent to flail and twitch. Past the ribs, then to the bottom. His blade dug into the ground, separating the front half of the serpent from the back. The front half had started to twitch, and flail wildly around, not being able to control it.

Blood was steadily flowing out of both halves now. Slowly the front half lurked then started to move forward. Elither let out a cold laugh, and followed it. A steady hissing noise was emitting from the Serpent’s mouth as it tried to retreat away. Elither started to send chops down at its body, taunting the dying Serpent. Finally the Serpent looked at him with a blind face, and struck out. Elither had sent a strong slash out at the Serpent as it struck out at his face. The blade dug into the mouth, and severed the bottom jaw from the top, cutting right through teeth, muscle, cartilage, and scales. The bottom half of the jaw dropped to the floor.

Elither flicked the blade, causing blood, scales, and pieces of cartilage to fly off the blade. The Serpent tried to strike with the rest of its mouth, but Elither angled the blade upward, so that the Serpent only hit against the edge of the blade. Elither figured it was time to put the beast out of its misery, so he flicked it away. When the front half of the Serpent landed, he thrust his blade downwards at its skull. The tip of the Flash Blade pierced into the scales, then skull, through the brain, and out of the bottom, stabbing into the ground. For good measure, Elither used his arms and twisted the hilt of the blade, causing it to twist around inside the head. The back of that half flailed once, gave a few twitches then dropped to the ground limp and lifeless. Letting out a harsh laugh and dropped to his knee. He still wasn’t able to breathe right. He pulled his Flash Blade out, and sheathed it. He didn’t have many arrows left, so he started to walk the length of the dead gigantic Serpent, and removed the arrows he had used on it. He slid them back into the quiver on his back. He looked up at the forest, barely being able to see through the thick treetops. Sighing, he looked around for a moment then started to walk in one direction, not sure where he was any more.

He staggered for a moment, and rested against a tree, breathing. His ribs were definitely broke, if not shattered. He had started to wheeze… He needed to hurry up and get some healing, if he wanted his body to ever be right from this. He looked up, and wiped the sweat off of his face, before sliding the hood back on over his head. His right arm held lower than his left, the strike having tore into muscles. He moved himself away from the tree, and continued to stagger and walk through the forest, not sure of where to go now, when the jaguar had knocked him out he didn’t know where it had taken him… He was lost.
