Title: Yeah... Hi?
Description: An Announcement?! Huh??

Derhlith - March 15, 2004 07:49 AM (GMT)
Hey there loyal Dark Isles fans!

I'd just like to say a few things to you all... y'all... yeah.

I know things aren't really that exciting here, as far as a lack of visible updates recently, and quests kind-of going slow, and a nearly inactive General Discussion board, but I'm going to start bringing back the vigor of the site when it originally started.

The Backstory, I noticed, hasn't had a good stream of updates since November of last year. So I'm going to really try and do at least one new chapter every day until it's complete. There really isn't that much left to do, just the War, and then a quick summary of the aftermath and what-not. It should be done by next Monday or Tuesday if things go according to plan. (I'm also thinking of doing a Timeline so you can see how things flow in one semi-easy-to-follow post, and you can get a sense of the years and Ages and what-not).

I'd like to thank all of you for sticking around as long as you have seeing how DI is nearing it's 9 month mark on April 4th. I'm surprised it's still floating. Though I'm going to start updating the Backstory more, and I'll try to get quests pre-written if I have time so that when new members crop up, or ppl below level 3 finish a quest in a certain realm, I can just throw a new one up w/o having much downtime in between, that's about all I can do.

It's really up to you guys to goof off on the GD and what-not. That's your place to chat and mention whatever you want. Some of that stuff I would consider spam, but even spam is better than inactivity. Just don't advertise other forum RPGs in there, 'kay? Other than that, it's up in the air. Just go for it and have fun. I'd really like to see that board get more active outside the "Word Association" thread.

And a thanks to Baerholn and Crest for their moderation of the Q&A board. If someone asks a question and you happen to know the answer, go ahead and answer the question. Mods and Admins don't *have* to answer them, we just close them when they're done. I'm happy to see some of you who may be confused with my complex setup for this site asking questions instead of just saying "awe, who the hell cares?" and leaving. So thanks! ^_^

Just to repeat myself for the sake of being redundant:

- I'm going to try and make updates more frequent for you guys, and hopefully things will pick up and everything will be straightened out before the 1-year mark.

- Thanks to everyone for using the Q&A and sticking with us

- The GD (except for ads) is up for you guys to post whatever you want to in there, feel free to talk about whatever you like. Have fun! ^_^

- We're nearing the 9 month mark, whoo hoo for us! :D

Thanks for the update mon! Like with all things, this place has its ups and downs. People get busy and posts get scarce. C'est la vie! Lookin forward to the next upward sine wave =)

To start off, I would like to thank all of the admins and everyone who helped work on this site. This is the best thing to do, but even though there is a slow period...It will not be for long. We have hit a slow moment before but look at us now. It is great to see what has come out of this and I cant watit to return to being active. Sorry about not posting...No computer to use in england. But now that I am back I will try to keep more active.

Bye for now and thanks to the higher power

Yes, indeed. I abandoned my "1 update a day" thing about a week ago.

Hopefully this summer everything will pick up and we'll get more members and the site will bloom. ^_^

By then we will hopefully have all the kinks worked out, too. So we'll see. ^_^
