Description: Velvet is young for someone with Elven blood, and as such she is highly inexperienced. Still, compared to a human, she looks to be in her late teens or early twenties, and the only thing that gives her away is her slightly pointed ears, which she usually keeps hidden beneath her long, flowing hair. Her hair is usually left to its own devices, and the silver and green locks go wherever they please. Her eyes aren't curved or almond shaped, like most elves, and are instead similar to a human girl of the previously assertained age. She wears simple clothes made from leather, animal skins, and even leaves. She also wears brightly colored feathers in her hair. Physique-wise, she's a strong young girl who spends most of her time running, climbing trees, and basically living on her own in the shelter of nature's heart.

Background:
Velvet has lived basically all her life in seclusion. All the young beast tamer knows is that she lives in a forest, a forest that she calls "Little Mother," and that the forest protects her from all harm. The young girl lives her life with her friends, all of which are not even of the same species, but she does not mind. She believes that her mother is the forest, and that her father is the sun, and that her grandmother is the moon. Very strange, to be sure, but the young girl had no one to tell her otherwise. Somehow, she retained the knowledge of language from her true parents, so when she did venture out into the world, she could at least communicate.
The fateful day of her journey into civilization occurred quite by accident. She was perched upon a branch that hung over a raging river, since the ice from the winter had recently melted. The reason she was perched so precariously upon this branch was because an especially ripe looking fruit upon the branch had caught her eye, and she decided that she badly needed that fruit.
Of course, the branch broke from the young girl's decidedly light weight, and she fell straight into the river, and was washed away despite all of her best efforts. Much later, she was found upon the banks of the river, totally water-logged and very much worse for the wear. A kindly fisherman fed her for a few weeks, while simultaneously nursing her from her presently unpleasant condition.
But after she had regained her health, the fisherman had to turn the girl loose, for he did not have nearly enough food to sustain the two of them. While she was there, however, Velvet obtained the first name she had ever known, her nickname, Velvet. The reason being was because she had become very much attached to a velvet handkerchief that that the fisherman possessed. The fisherman was so enamored with the girl that he gave the handkerchief to her as a sort of memento, along with her name. From then on, the girl knew herself as Velvet.
Several days later, she found herself sitting beneath a tree quite confused by very confusing incidents that had seemed not at all confusing to several of the very confusing people that had decided that it would be fun to confuse her. She had simply grabbed a nearby fruit from a stand, thinking that if they were going to leave it out in the open like that, then it was obvious that they were willing to give it to whoever went out and grabbed it. Yet, for some reason, a man who was tending the fruit stand grabbed her wrist and asked her to "Pay up." This, of course, was completely foreign to the girl who had lived most of her entire life in the forests. In fact, she didn't even know what "pay" meant, so, taking a wild guess, she looked up into the sky. These actions seemed to make the man angry, so he took the fruit from her and commanded her to leave in no uncertain tones.
The next incident was one regarding a tall man cutting down a perfectly unassuming tree. How dare the man try to cut down the tree, especially a tree like this particular one, one in its prime? The poor tree had never done anything to him! Why would he want to cut it down? So the young girl went to the man and gave him a piece of her mind, saying that the man shouldn't cut down the tree and that if he continued, she would have to take steps. In reply to Velvet's angry tirade, the man shrugged his shoulders and said "I've got to make a living."
Currently, the young girl was pondering this strange anomaly called "a living." Why would anyone need to cut down a tree to make this strange abstraction? Velvet had never heard the word used in such a way. She knew that "living" meant to live and be alive, but why would the man have to destroy that tree just to keep himself alive. With a sigh of exasperation, the girl rose to her feet and headed on her way. She didn't very much like this place at all and was definitely ready to head back to her home with Little Mother.
You need a few things:
1) You need to list what class you are. Judging by your equipment you're a Ranger. But you may want to choose a different class. They're listed on the first and second pages of the Rules, Regulations & How To's page.
2) Half-Elven is not an available race. Elf, Human, or Dwarvish are the only available races.
3) Your story needs to be a little longer.
I changed my race to Elf, and I lengthened the story.
As to the class problem, I don't know why you didn't see it the first time. Under the description, it says "Class: Beast Tamer."
Anyways, I hope everything is to your satisfaction and that I may begin questing immediately.
Accepted. Welcome to Dark Isles, and have a good time. (Though please try to be thorough with posting, and keep it at a good length, no one liners.) ^_^
Don't forget, as an Elvish Beast Tamer, you start in the Outer Rim.
