Physical Description: Kyo is said to hide his strength. He lacks the strong build that most warriors have, but has corded muscles hidden underneath his clothing. Just by the look in his dull eyes, you can tell that he prefers being alone as opposed to being the life of a party. He keeps his hair pulled back, but the length of it makes some of the strands hanging at about eyebrow level, he also wears a black, silk bandanna. He wears a gray, silk shirt underneath his armor; one sleeve has a black flame design running from his shoulder all the way down to his wrist. The other sleeve is cut right at shoulder length, showing his entire arm. He tucks his shirt into similar colored cloth pants, with a black belt around his waist. His skin is naturally tanned from working outdoors most of the day. When traveling, he wears a black cape and hood that can be attached over his armor. He has made latches for the back of his armor that catches and holds his lance when he slides down his shoulder.

Personality: Like I said before, he is a loner by self-nature. He prefers sitting by himself and keeping conversation to the bare minimum. He wants to travel alone, but his father makes him travel with a crew on one of his merchant ships. Although shy, he does hold a high code of chivalry. He will protect women in distress, no matter the danger. If you dig deep enough, he will open up, but that takes lots of time that most people aren’t willing to spend.

Backstory:

Kyo walked out onto the docks of Rionolianthu. His father had ordered him to board one of his merchant ships to travel to Tharkas Castle for a little bit of trading. Kyo would have rather just stayed at home, but what his father said was law in the household, so now he was here. He met his crew, a bunch of half-drunk, fat merchants that were as greedy as rats, luckily Kyo’s brother Luther was there also, the only loyal sailor of the bunch. Kyo was disgusted as one of the crew tried, unsuccessfully, to woo a woman standing nearby. After his lines failed him, the slimy man reached out and clamped his hand on the woman’s wrist. Kyo rushed over, hitting the merchant straight in the teeth, knocking him to the wooden planks of the dock. Apologizing to the woman, Kyo boarded his ship and ordered it to make sail.

The ship arrived in port at Tharkas Castle on schedule. The merchants did their trading as Kyo wandered the large city. Walking down a dark alleyway, Kyo was beckoned by an old man lying on the ground. Helping the man to a sitting position, the man asked Kyo for some charity. Eager to help, he pulled out a loaf of bread and his poach of water. The man took the bread and water like it was a festival feast. Having his fill, the old man thanked Kyo and showed him to a doorway in the alley. All of his instincts went against this foolish move, but Kyo followed none the less. Inside the small room was a single item. A gleaming lance, silver blade with an azure hilt. A black hand-guard and golden tip completed the magnificent weapon. The man explained that this Lance had been used in fighting the Dragons that had attacked Tharkas those many years ago. This lance had pierced the heart of a dragon by a famous Human Lancer; it was adequately named the DragonBane Lance. Seeing the true good in Kyo, the elder gave the Lance to the young man, saying that it was payment for the meal. Kyo was trained in the ways of the Lancer and took the gift with a thousand thanks. He then traveled back to his ship and set sail back for Rionolianthu.

Three nights after they launched from Tharkas Castle port, the greedy merchants mutinied. Luther was killed and Kyo was thrown overboard, the DragonBane Lance still in his room. Floating unconscious for five days, Kyo was finally picked up by a ship owned by his father. Taken back to his home, Kyo awoke with only one thing on his mind, vengeance. Grabbing his Grunge Lance as set out for his father, he needed information on those merchants.

Good job, you're in.

Rionolianthu is currently undergoing some construction, so you're free to start out in Avalon. The quest "Journey to Mineth" needs someone in it. So you're welcome to join that, there should be another member (Zavier) joining it, too, pretty soon.
