Title: Elither Vs Shryo
Description: The Duel

Alkioth - November 9, 2003 09:31 PM (GMT)
OOC: Tournament Rules apply. Two major actions per post. Victor will be graded on quality (strategy, logic, et cetera) and heavily leaning upon who is standing at the end of the duel. Good luck and enjoy :)

IC:

The man stood in the rain and mud. His feet should have sunk a few inches into the mud, but they didn't. His cloak wasn't even wet. His hands are just barely visible in the night -- they appear gnarled, long, and thin. If there was much light to be shed upon his hands, one would have seen that they were dark brown, a tint of red even.

There are a few huts near the man who would be facilitating the fight. They were simple and made of straw. A hundred paces to the man's left is what looks like an abandoned inn. It is run-down, dilapadated; looks as if no one had been there in twenty years.

"Welcome," the man says as the fighters approach, his voice raspy. "I would apologize for the weather, but I rather enjoy it."

One could tell he was smiling, although his face was hidden by the hooded cloak.

"You may begin as you wish."

Elither Daegovad - November 12, 2003 07:27 AM (GMT)
The small village was being bombarded with thick raindrops. A man stood outside the village, waiting for the two fighters to come. A man hidden beneath a dark green cloak appeared out of a forest a hundred yards from the village. The man that had emerged from the forest was none other than Elither Daegovad. His right hand was calmly on the hilt of his FlashBlade, while his left was grasped around his bow. From the large distance from the man standing waiting for the fighters, and Elither himself the man could easily see that two glows of red shined through the dark, rain, and the hood itself. Elither’s clothes were soaked already from the few moments he was out of the safety of the forest. This weighed Elither down slightly, though not very much. His clothes were baggy enough to have free movement, but not too baggy. The moonlight shined off the glimmering crest that was around Elither’s neck, as he cracked it. The first place in the village that Elither took a note of was the rundown Inn that seemed abandoned, it might prove to be useful later in the duel. Something did seem odd to him though, at a much more precise look, Elither noticed that the man standing and waiting for them was not wet. He didn’t sink in the mud like a normal person would, and his arm.. His arm was very odd indeed. But he needn’t worry about that man, he wasn’t his opponent for this little duel. A man by the name of Shyro was, and from what Elither understood, the old man in the Tavern said that Shyro was a cleric. The cleric had an advantage over Elither, he could heal and Elither could not. But it did not matter to him, he was confident about this match and nothing could take that away from him. He wanted to redeem himself in this match, for the failure in the last. Only a few feet away from the man, a lightning bolt spread across the sky, spreading light momentarily across the land.
Elither stood in front of the odd man, and waited for his opponent to arrive for the duel. He was ready this time, he was confident for the victory.
