Physical Description: A tall, well built individual. He is broad shouldered with a wide, almost overbearing posture. His hair is neatly kept and is relatively short, although his bangs tend to flop over and hang around his eyes, covering most of his forehead.
Personality: A survivor of the Second Demon War, he has a very grave attitude towards death and war. Though usually helpful and upbeat, his temper is nothing to trifle with. Though he also tends to have a sort of overbearing, almost arrogant streak, which can either make him a leader, or get him into trouble.

Background On Your Character: Born and raised in the little town of Mineth Burg, Rithen was the son of a Knight under the Tower Guard of Tharkas. As he grew up he always wanted to be, just like any other child, like his dad. Though, he wished that he would surpass him and become a full-fledged Knight of Tharkas, travel abroad to foreign lands, fight in the greatest military force in Hypeltheon, become renown the world over and loved by all his kinsmen. Of course these were merely dreams of honor and glory, the same ones that most kids had. In truth, as Rithen found out, War was Hell. At the age of 18 the Second Demon War started (I hope I have the years right.) and his father was called off to duty. Of course Rithen wanted to go with him, but his mother made him stay behind and help tend the fields.
Sometime later, Rithen lost track of the years, maybe at the age of twenty, Tharkas was on the verge of destruction. It was then that all able-bodied men were called forth to serve with the Army. Apparantly hundreds of divisions, squads, and Knighthoods had been established on-the-spot to facilitate the sudden need for a larger army. So, of course Rithen went to Tharkas City to serve as a Knight.
Training went on for six months, and Rithen went from the scrawny teenager he was and transformed into a strapping, powerful young adult. The final, seventh, week of "Training" was for Assignments. The best of the best were sent to serve under Wren and Asura of the First and Third Knighthoods (I'm just guessing from what I saw of equipment, the capes thing. And from what I read in the Backstory. Hope I'm not wrong! :( ) and all the others were sent to the Tower Guard, and the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Knighthoods and other assorted groups.
Rithen had poured his whole heart into becoming a Knight like his father, better than his father, and now he'd finally done it. The raw power and skill he acquired during training along with his enthusiasm and positive attitude earned him a place under Wren in the 1st Knighthood. During the Demon War, Rithen saw many battles and watched a lot of his friends die, which accounts for his dislike of death and fighting without a cause. Finally, he heard the sad news when Tharkas City fell. Soon after the Knighthoods dissolved without their leaders and kingdom to protect, and Rithen returned home, battered, beaten, and dispirited.
Now it's been five years since the end of the Demon War, and Rithen is one of few protecting his village of Mineth Burg. Now food has become so scarce that he is on a constant search for any source of sustinence on the barren continent of Avalon, though he's yet to find any. All he can do is perform odd jobs for people and send some of the money home to his Mother. He is also in a search for his father, who was supposedly there when The City fell. No one's sure if he's dead, but Rithen refuses to give up until he sees the corpse for himself.
