Background On Your Character: Baerholn was a gifted young warrior in the Tharkan army and began his military career by steadily working his way through the ranks. Due to his use of brutal tactics however, he was soon set to be expelled from the army. Though the necessity for able soldiers kept him in the ranks through the Seige of Tharkas Castle, Baerholn earned himself a reputation as a heartless individual when he used a small crowd of unarmed peasants as a lure for a pack of orcs. Baerholn was able to defeat the invaders but the defenseless villagers were slaughtered completely. Though this event remained largely forgotten due to the personal loss felt by all who made it through the siege, Baerholn was driven away by the survivors to fend for himself.

In combat Baerholn was always ruthless to the last, injuring most of his sparring partners in training. As a young soldier he showed great skill as a tactician but his strategies were looked down upon by a large number of his instructors who did not favor the plans hatched from his disregard for the well being of others. One of his drawn-up strategies, involving the near massacre of a decoy detachment of troops to give the rest of the force a strong enough punch to defeat the main force of their opponent, was denounced by his current commanding officer who described Baerholn’s “loose sense or morality” as a detriment to the entire army of Tharkas. This was the beginning of the end for Baerholn’s involvement in the military. Soon after came the Siege.

Now Baerholn is a mercenary for hire, selling his skills to whoever will pay a high enough price. His brutality makes him all the more efficient in dealing death to his foes, and his malevolent reputation brings him high-paying clients. What Baerholn truly seeks though is power. Power, he believes, will grant him the ability to fulfill all of his darkest desires.

nice, nice. Sounds like a cool character. Glad to have another admin aboard! Welcome to Dark Isles!

I know I needn't tell you this - but it's policy.

You're a Human Knight, thus you start in Avalon.
