Title: A Vision Of The Past...
Description: Elither's solo quest.

Elither Daegovad - September 30, 2003 12:37 AM (GMT)
A few muffled crunch's and small thuds are heard near the edge of the forest that once held Elither Daegovad's Clan. Elither walking through the forest, visions of what he once was started to swarm into his mind, this has been happening for about four days now, and it was starting to break Elither. The Twigs cracked under his feet, at the same time leaves were being thrown from underneath him, due to his cloak sweeping the forest floor.

Small birds were chirping, aswell as a few owls hooting eerily. Lizards were hissing very low, aswell as snakes, of all variety, and the wolves howling, and the bears letting out roars. All this wasn't helping Elither very much, while he tried to sustain the visions,He was beyond stressed out, and very confused, it had almost brought him down to his knee's several times.

"Stop it!!" He growled, holding his head in mental pain, visions started to blur his vision. Elither staggered into a large tree, almost tripping over an uprooted root from the tree, caused probably by a animal scavaging for grubs or anything else under the dirt. He fell on his backside, before laying down, almost in a fetal position holding his head yelling out.

"JUST GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!" He bellowed, before he lost conciousness.

"Elither..psst..Elither..wake up.." Was coming from just right above him. Elither opened his eyes, bringing his hands up to rub his face a bit. Looking at them, they weren't the paleist white, nor did they look like giant spiders. They were thick, and a deep peach, and more squat then long.

"What is it?" He asked, pulling himself into a sitting position on a bed, covers sliding off his mid section, like water drops running off a leaf.
"Well, Av'ren?" Elither said, in a much higher, and childish voice.

"Elder says you need to get back to training, trying to summon and tame that snake, Elither."

"At this time? Just great.....I don't even think the gods have woken from there slumber yet Av'ren..(He sighs.) But, if that's what the elder wants, fine fine."

Elither crawled out of bed, and dropped....He was eye level with the top of the bed, he wasn't much more then three feet tall, he was young..very young. Yawning(sounding slightly like a hiccup) he staggered slowly from the bed, to the bark door."Well, This'll be interesting" He said, a small grin appearing across his face.

Elither Daegovad - September 30, 2003 01:28 AM (GMT)
Elither curled up more, on the forest floor, twitching slightly, muttering things incoherantly, that even he could not undertsand, it was practically jibbering, what a one year old child would do....then, the vision blurred in more..

Pulling open the door, it making a tad squeek, the young Elither walked out of his Tree-hutt. Yawning, and stretching slightly, he made his way from his resting place, over to the small arena in the tree canopies.

"Hello Elder" He said brightly, and enthusiastic, as he walked into the arena, smiling to the elder.

"Hello Hello there, young one." Said the elder, giving a toothless grin, as he fiddled with a small box, with holes in it. Elither knew what was in it, A small grass snake, with a bad temper.

Sighing, Elither looked to the Elder, from the box. "Do I have too? I mean, i've been trying for a few month's now, and it just isn't working, Elder.."

"Nonsense young one! You're making great progress! Remember when it winked at you?" He said, walking over to Elither, nudging him slightly, with a small wink.

"....He was sniffing at me elder, he just closed his eyes for a moment..."

"...Still Young one, you're making great Progress!" The elder said, patting Elither's right shoulder, in a grandfatherly way, shortly before walking back to the small box, untieing a small piece of thread that held the box shut.

When the elder had untied the box, he lifted the lid, and stepped back a tad bit, as a small green grass snake, immediatly hissing toward's Elither's direction.

Elither grumbled, and muttered something under his breathe("what was that young one? " said the elder, chuckling), before closing his eyes, trying to concentrate..."Stupid snake, just listen!!!" he said to hiself, in his mind(Yet again, the snake hissed at him threateningly..."Ooooo he winked at you again!" Said the elder, snickering slightly.)Elither tried to focus a bit more, getting tired of what he thought was stupid lessons. "Please you scaly idiot, just listen to me, i'm tired of these lessons, and i'm pretty sure you're tired of being a ginuea pig.." He said, groaning slightly.

....Elither blinked for a moment, as the snake sorta crept up on an invisible ladder, it's head about the heigth of Elither's waist.

"Are you actually listening to me?" Elither asked, in his own mind, concentrating more...he chuckled a bit to himself, before saying again in his mind "Of course your not, if you were, you'd snap at the elder for making me go through this." Elither thought it was funny, but didn't expect what was coming....

"sssssss..." before a loud snap was heard, and a slight yelp, and a few muffled thuds, as the snake had snapped at the elder, causing the elder to fall backwards into some box's that held scrolls, and other things.

"Well, that was certainly interesting" The elder said, staggering back up to his feet, and grabbing his cain he used as support, dusting himself off with the free hand.

"I expected him to snap at you, before me" The elder said, chuckling a bit.

"And he snapped at you, because I told him too." Elither said, grinning a bit mischiveously. The elder just looked from Elither, to the snake, looking slightly nervous.

"I wasn't expecting him to listen to me, Elder..." Elither said, looking a bit surprised at the snake.

"Well, at least you've gotten through some...well....this is enough for today, young one..Better go and get some food, and sleep." Elder said, before snatching the snake up by it's head, and laying it into the box, tieing it back shut......

The older Elither twitched slightly more, groaning a bit, his eyes rolling around in his eyelids....

Elither Daegovad - September 30, 2003 12:39 PM (GMT)
The visions Started to blur, the young elither slowly starting to fade in and out, as he walked back toward's the cabin.....

Then suddenly, he was back in the bed, asleep. But not for long, for something shook him. "Elither...Elither...Wake up....Elither!! wake up......Elither....don't make me get the Elder.." It was the same voice from before..except deeper, much deeper.

Opening his eyes, Elither brought his hands back up to rub his face... (OOC:all these things about the past Elither, just remember, it's first person view.<_<End OOC)Except..they were longer, still thick, but longer, and the deep peach color. They were slighty worn, looked and felt slightly like sandpaper on his face, before he pulled the hands from his face.

"Yes, Av'ren?" Asked Elither, In a much deeper voice then before.

"Well......are we not going to go and check the forest out today? We have to make out routes today, Elder asked us too."

"Alright...Alright...Just a moment, let me get my things, and lets eat before we go, I'm starving." Said Elither, pulling himself out of the bed..aswell, it wasn't just his hands that had grown, he was at least 6 feet tall, which is fairly unusual for elves.

"Hmm." Said Elither, as he walked from the bed, over to a pile of clothes in the right corner of the back of the room. Pulling out some Chianmail, and a cloak, and a few things here and there, elither sat down, slowly pulling on his clothing, and chainmail. "So..what's for breakfast Av'ren?, or can we try and snatch some food from the elder?"

Av'ren chuckled slightly."I'm sure we can get some from him."

"Alright" Said Elither, standing up. He stretched for a moment, sliding on some tattered boots."Well, lets go."

They walked out of Elither's resting hutt, making there way across ther canopies of the tree's toward's the Elder's. The rope bridge creaked, that was connected from the tree that held all the hutts for the Elves, to the Large hutt that was on a Limb way out from the tree. When they got across the rope bridge, the two knocked lightly on the Elder's door.

"Well well! Hello you two! Come to get food I see" Said the elder, when he opened the door, with a smile, patting there shoulders.

"How'd you know, Elder?" Said Av'ren, looking slightly surprised at the elder.

"Well, what else would you be here for?" Said the elder, chuckling shortly afterwards. "Come in, Come in."

Elither closed the door after entering behind Av'ren, stifling a yawn."So elder, the whole forest?"

"Oh, yes yes, most definatly." Said the elder, pointing a hand toward a table of fruit and vegetables.

Elither walked over to the table, grabbing an apple. Biting into it, he tossed one to Av'ren, who nearly choked, almost swallowing the apple whole, from hunger.

"Slow down! slow down!" Said the elder, smacking Av'ren's back with the cane

"Th-Thanks.." Said Av'ren, Coughing and hacking like an old man, rubbing his throat.

The three of them decided to sit down, and eat a bit slower, and have a brief talk about what they should avoid, on the route.

Elither Daegovad - September 30, 2003 05:10 PM (GMT)
Chewing on an pecan, The Elder looks from Elither, to Av'ren thoughtfully for a moment. "Hmmmmm." He said, swallowing the pecan."So.....Remember what the thing that you need to avoid most is?" He asked, the stare he gives them becoming slightly anxious, and stern.

"Yes..Humans.." Said the two youthly elves, rolling there eyes slightly(Elither chewing on an apple piece, Av'ren giving the apple a glare.)."But..why Elder?" Asked Elither, he had always been curious about everything.

"...Because Young one, Human's are dangerous....Just...don't get near any, if you see them, alright?"

".....Yes Elder." Elither said, looking down to the half eaten apple.

Walking back across the bridge, Elither tosses the apple off of it, mummbling under his breathe about the Elder, and his strickness. When they got back to the resting hutt, Elither went in to fetch his Bow. But, when he went to walk back out, An older elf came in, rather scruffy looking, very tattered clothes, and like Elither's hands, they had been weathered, looking sandpaper-ish..except, all of his skin did.

"Elither, You and Av'ren are to stay here, you won't be scouting this time around. Elder's orders" he said, and walked back out.

Av'ren walked in, looking backwards toward's the rather scary looking elf.

"What was that about?" He asked Elither, looking highly confused, looking back to Elither."And why are you putting your bow back down? and your chainmail..what's going on?"

"The Elder doesn't trust us" Said Elither, Glaring towards the door."I'm going to find out though" He said, storming out of the door.

"Well, I'm coming with you!" Av'ren breathed, running to keep up with Elither's pace. He caught up with Elither after Elither was Across the rope bridge.

Elither tore through the door of the Elder's hutt, glaring at him."Why wouldn't you let us go!?!"

"...Because Young one, you are too curious for you're own good." Said the Elder, and he didn't look surprised to see Elither this way, or through the door like that. "You have much to learn, before you can go scouting, it is not all fun and games. The one that sent my word to you, is taking your place, he is the best scouter we have, and you will respect him, his name is Garolath."

Elither Daegovad - October 1, 2003 01:02 PM (GMT)
"Garolath?!?!" Said Elither, in mild surprise, his eyes widening about the size of a tomato. "Isn't he the best fighter in this area?"

"Ohohoho! Why yes he is, in fact, young one" Said the Elder, smiling toothlessly.

"But.....Why do you need him of all people to scout?" Asked Elither, with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"Ask me no questions, and i'll tell you no lies, young one" Said the Elder, smiling even more."Oh, and help yourself to more food if you want" He added, limping over toward the table, snatching up a loaf of wildberry bread."Oh....And...I will not let you two scout..until I think you're ready.....Elither!!(Elither by then threw a chair across the hutt.) Settle down Young one, settle down. I will let you out there..but in due time."The Elder groaned, looking to the damaged wall of the hutt (the chair went straight through the Stick-built wall.).

Elither still fuming, busted out of the door, and made his way across the rope bridge, this time by himself, since Av'ren had stayed behind to help the Elder.".....Meh, "Garolath this, Garolath that" always hearing about'em.....meh.."Elither groaned, climbing from the canopies of the tree's above, which was the vessel for the elven clan.

As Elither hopped from the tree, landing, he started to walk from it, kicking away pecan's, and different fruits, vegetables, and nuts that had made there way down from the tree's. His cloak flailed against the ground like a roll of fog, sweeping through the forest. Leaves that were dead on the ground, swayed, then flailed into the air, by the speed of his pace, and his cloak.

About half a mile deeper in the forest, he decided to take a small rest, setting down against a young tree. Sighing, he flicked a june bug away from him, using his middle finger, then something caught his eye, something very dark, in the bright forest. He looked over to it, just intime to see what he thought was a shadow, suck itself in. immidiately, he gripped the bow at his side, since he tied it there, instead of the normal fashion of behind his back. But before he could untie it, the shadow ripped open, and a large, shadow like cat leaped from it, landing right infront of Elither. Elither could not do anything at that time, his insides seemed to freeze up, for he knew he could not defend himself from such a large creature, without anything, because he would not have time to get the bow untied.

But, the creature did not attack, it just paced back and forth, from left to right, looking to Elither. It seemed to be in thought, because for about five minutes, that's all it did. But then, it just laid down infront of Elither, and gave a loud roar like yawn, and stretched out. Elither had as to no idea what to do, so he just sat there, his back up against the young tree, which was but only 8 feet tall. he thought for a moment, and pulled his hand from the bow, and slowly, very slowly, and cautiously reached out for the cat's right ear. The cat did nothing, but look from the hand, to Elither, until Elither had run his hand on the ear, down to it's face, scratching just underneath the ferocious looking beasts mouth. The cat just purred, like a innocent kitten.

But, when Elither moved his hand away from the beast, it stood bolt right up, and gave one small look around, and a roar, before leaping into the air. This was when Elither understood what it was. The creature seemed to turn into a shadow, and, as before, seemed to suck itself in, before dissappearing.....

Elither Daegovad - October 2, 2003 04:53 PM (GMT)
Elither Looked around for whatever might have disturbed the presence of the Shadow Cat, as he stood up, scratching his back lightly from where the bark on the tree had irritated the skin, like ants crawling over his back. He found what had disturbed The Cat's presence soon enough, for Garolath had come striding up to him. "Elder's sent me orders to come and get you" He said, Putting a giant, sandpaper like hand on the right shoulder of Elither, Gripping it more aggresively then neccesary.

"I can make my own way back, thank you." Said Elither coldly, managing to shrug Garolath's hand away. Elither walked, at a high pace back to the tree, containing the tribe. He climbed back up the tree, leaping from lower branch, to higher branch, until he climbed up onto the rope bridge. The bridge swayed side to side under him, as he dashed toward's his hutt, Gasping for breathe, having done so much, in so little time. When he slid into the hutt, he had really one thing on his mind, the Shadow cat. Digging up a few Beast books he had, using them while training to Tame beasts, and summon them. He Immidiatly got to work on searching, and reading up the Beast of A cat.

Soon enough, he had high knoledge about the beast, from all the re-search he had put into it, It had just as much sensitive hearing as elves did, if not more, able to hear sounds from up to 5 miles, it had incredible speed, not to mention it could just dissappear when it liked, though, while doing it, that caused a sufficient amount of energy loss to the beast. Elither started to wonder if he'd ever see the creature again, because he was so interested in it. "A normal beast of that size would have just ripped me apart.." Elither said to himself one day, while sitting on a branch hanging out from the tree at 30 feet. A vibration in the wood, and the fact that the branch dipped somewhat, made the presence of another one--Av'ren. "Haven't gotten a chance to speak with you lately Elither....What have you been doin-....what is that?" Av'ren had asked, pointing to the open book in Elither's lap, the page he had kept it on, showed a picture of a Shadow Cat.

"Oh...It's about Beasts...I've just been doing a bit of reading up on them..why?" He asked, But his voice seemed distance, aswell as his gaze out toward's the Forest.

"Oh..No reason...Anyway, what have you been doing lately?" Av'ren repeated, tilting his head to an odd angle, looking to the Book.

"I've already told you..been reading up on creatures.." Repeated Elither, though Av'ren looked at him, thinking he was being dishonest.

"Listen Av'ren.....Did the Elder tell you anything that day you helped him?" Elither Asked, though a demanding tone was heard.

"He...didn't say anything..just kept mummbling about how we weren't ready yet.." Av'ren said, following it with a sigh...

Elither Daegovad - October 3, 2003 05:48 AM (GMT)
"I just don't understand...He seemed so proud that we were going to Go and scout...but then...He just changed his mind..it makes no sense.." Elither groaned, after a few minutes of silence, flicking some bark off the branch, like an annoying mosquito on your skin. Elither had continued to flick the bark off the branch for about half an hour, before standing up, and stretching. "Well..I'd better get back to my hutt, Av'ren...I'll see you around." He said, walking toward's his hutt, off the branch. Av'ren watched him go, sighing.

Elither spent the next few days in his hutt, examining the pictures of the Shadow Cat more thouroughly, though his eyes were glazed while doing this. He had been trying to get whatever made the Elder change his mind out of his head, though everything he tried, including researching on the beast did not work.

A few days later, a knock was heard, though it was an odd knock, like wood on wood. Elither went and pulled the bark like door open, and gave a small gasp of surprise, standing there was the Elder...yet, the Elder had never came to visit people, they had to go and visit him.

"Yes, Elder?" Asked elither, managing to hide the gasp with a few coughs.

"Thought you might need some food...Av'ren has told me you have not been eating, young one." The Elder said, holding out a large plate of nuts, vegetables, Fruits, and everything else that grows naturally in the forest. "Eat up." he added, smiling widely, showing his bare gums.

"....Thank you, Elder" Elither replied, taking the plate of food politely."But..I need a question answered.." he added.

"And, what would that be, young one?" Retorted the Elder, his smiles dropping slightly.

"Why..did you change your mind about me going out on the scout?" Elither demanded, though in a polite way.

".....I cannot answer that, just yet...young one.." Replying the Elder, in a sad tone, his smile becoming a frown almost instantly. "Well..eat up, I'll send Av'ren by with more, later.Oh...and if he tells me you have not ate..I do think i'll need to take those Beast books away..you know..the ones with everything about the Shadowcats in them." He said, grinning.

"How did you..?" Trying to ask, Elither looked shocked.

"Do you actually think a beast would just...sit there, and let it be petted by it's enemy.....(snort with laughter.)....Well..i'll leave you to your thoughts, young one." Elder finished, turning from the door of the hutt, slowly making his way to his hutt, a limp with each right step.

Elither sat there, about five minutes later, chewing on some pear, and walnut, lost in thought. "Hmm....so...it must be his" he said finally to himself, swallowing the mouthful of fruit and nuts. Elither took a chunk from a raw potato, chewing on it, in thought, all while researching more on the Beast.

Elither Daegovad - October 9, 2003 02:59 PM (GMT)
Elither thought it would be good for him to get some fresh air, which he hadn't had in days, he had been couped up in his hutt, reading books, and thinking about things. So, He gathered up his books, and stuffed them under his bed, And pulled on a cloak, and his old tattered boots. Walking to the door, he pulled it open, To once again be face to face with Garolath.

Immediatly Elither popped off to Garolath. "What do you want?" He sneered, looking to Garolath, noticing how taller and broader Garolath was.

"Watch that tongue of yours!!" Garolath spat out, Spotting Elither's face with spit.

"And watch that drool of yours." Elither said coldly, wiping the spit away from his face with part of his cloak, and walked away. Muttering, and cursing under his breathe about Garolath, he propped against the ropes of the bridge, Stretching for a moment. Yawning, Elither looked around for a moment. He saw CHildren running around playing, grown up's sitting there, watching the children, and talking with eachother, and elders Just watching everybody, like they were studying them.

Sighing lightly, Elither turned to go to the Elder's hutt, to ask him a few questions. Knocking on the door, there was a few small wooden clanks, then from then opening the door, the Elder's head popped out, looking around for a moment..It was strange behavior Elither thought, for the fact that he had never seen the Elder cautious like this.

"come in, quickly Young One." The Elder said, popping his head back into the safety of his hutt. So, Elither followed The Elder in, wondering what on earth could make The Elder so paranoid. Well, Elither soon found out, for there was the Shadow Cat laying on The Elder's bed, but it was injured, and badly it seemed.

"What happened to it?" Asked Elither, rushing over to the bed. Petting the Shadow Cat, looking to the wounds.

"Seems that A human attacked him, look at this." The Elder said sadly, pulling out a bloodstained longsword from a piece of cloth. "I found this beside Him." He indicated to the beast, shaking his head a bit. "But, I expect that he will recover" He added, seeing the sad look on Elither's face.

After Elither helped The Elder bandage up the beast, they sat down for A moment to get a drink. Elither split his with the beast, aswell as offered it some food, which it had ate. "You like him, don't you?" Asked The Elder, chuckling.
"What? Oh....Yes, He's remarkable." Replied Elither, stroking the beasts back.

Elither Returned to his hutt about an hour later, but stopped before entering, due to someone calling his name. He turned around, and saw Av'ren running towards him.

"Elither!!! Guess what!?!" Av'ren said, Looking thrilled.

"Hmm?" Asked Elither, tilting his head slightly to the left.

"The Elder's Letting us scout!!! Tomorrow!!" Av'ren said, jumping up and down.

"Really?..That's great!" Said Elither, looking Astonished...

Elither Daegovad - October 9, 2003 05:51 PM (GMT)
Elither had went to his room, after hearing the news from Av'ren, whom was shocked by it, as Elither was. Elither sat on his Bed, and looked around for a moment. He decided to gather up what he needed for the next day.

Elither picked up his old tattered green cloak, aswell as his tattered boots, putting them on the chest beside the door. Then he gathered up his bow, and the quiver of arrows, which he noticed were splintered, and dull. He went ahead and dumped the arrows from the quiver. He supplied the Bow, and the empty quiver with his cloak and boots.

He sat down once more, and tried to think of anything else he had needed, but could not think of anything else that he could use. He sighed for a moment, wondering if he actually might make a good scout, before the foot of his bed started to sink low.

Elither sat bolt right up, then sighed with relief, for it had not been anything dangerous, but the Shadow Cat.
"Hmm...I think I shall call you Izarus." He said to the beast, scratching behind it's ear, letting it Give a rumble like purr.

"And I see you're wounds have healed...and very quick, The Elder must have used some means of magic to aid the healing process." He said, grinning slightly, He spent half the night petting it, and examaning it.

When morning came, Elither woke with a start. Looking around, he saw that Izarus had gone. Sighing slightly,He sat up in bed, long enough to yawn, stretch, and rub the sleep from his eyes. Standing out of bed, he walked over to the chest by the door, picking up the cloak and boots. Slipping the cloak and boots on, he tied the boots, looking around for a moment, for something he might need..He found nothing.

He pulled himself back up, after tieing his boots up, And heard a creak from just outside his door. Opening the door, Av'ren was standing there..but not exactly standing, he was hopping up and down in place, similiar to a rabbit.

"Come on! Come on Elither! Hurry! Hurry!" Av'ren pouted some, while elither put the quiver on his back, and tied his bow to his side.

"We have to go to the weaponry, need to pick up some arrows." Said Elither sleepily, still not woken up.

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 02:09 AM (GMT)
They left Elither's hutt side by side, even though Elither was practically dragging himself along from tiredness. When they got to the weaponry, Elither Slumped in, yawning. Placing his quiver on the counter, he told the shop owner to fill it up, while he looked around.
Walking over to the Blades, He darted his eyes around, seeing Longswords, Broadswords he supposed were for the bigger elves, like Garolath, And shortswords. His eyes fell on a pair that had Celtic Knots engraved in the middle of them. He instantly fell inlove with them.
"'Ay, you're quiver's packed, and ready to go Elither." The Shopkeeper said, pushing the quiver over the counter.

"Thanks." Elither replied, walking over there to get his Quiver.

A few moments later Elither and Av'ren were on there way across the bridge, and over to The Elder's hutt.

"Well, hello there!" Said The Elder, smiling. "I see you two are ready to go." He added, looking to them.

"Heh. Yeah, we are." Said Elither, knowing that Av'ren was too excited to talk.
"Well, we were just going to tell you we were leaving" Elither said, stretching for a moment.

"Bye!!!" Said Av'ren, a few moment's later, as him, and Elither made there way across the bridge. They climbed down the tree a few minutes after crossing the bridge. When they landed on the forest floor, they looked around for a moment.

"Uhmm...Which way should we take, Elither?" Asked Av'ren, having stopped the jumping he was doing.

"It'd be best if we split up, we could cover more ground, and much faster" Replied elither, leaping into the air afterward.Grabbing ahold of one of the bottom limbs of a thick, and tall pine tree, he climbed onto the limb, then leaped up once more. After about 3 minutes, he was on one of the top branches. Turning around, he saw Av'ren make it up to the top of another, and head off in one direction, after waving to Elither.
"Hmmmm.." Elither thought to himself, swiftly leaping from one branch of one tree, to another on A different tree. he looked around for a moment, then sighed with relief, for he had finally gotten what he's wanted for years.....

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 02:53 AM (GMT)
Elither felt great, As he was swiftly leaping from tree to tree, branch to branch, his cloak swaying in the wind, as he leapt. After every hundred or so meters, he'd stop, and take a look down, to make sure everything was okay, because that was what he was suppose to do.
"Hmmm." He said, perching on a slightly lower branch, his hands clapped together like he had glued them together. His bow swayed slightly on his side, only being held up by the small strip of leather that was tied from it to his side. He thought for a moment, and loosened the knot slightly that kept the bow by his side, just incase he needed it hastly.
"Well, nothing here, everything's normal." He said to himself, pulling hiself up to full heigth, and leaping off that branch to another.

Just as Elither landed on a branch of an oak tree, something swooped right over his head, causing his hair to flow in the wind, like a tide coming to shoore. Elither looked around, and saw Av'ren land just right beside him.

"Damnit Av'ren! What on earth are you doing here?" Demanded Elither, looking to Av'ren.

"Just thought i'd see how you were doing..." Said Av'ren, chuckling a bit, stretching for a moment. "Anything out of the ordinary?" he added.
"Everythings fine, and nothing out of the ordinary." Elither replied, yawning a bit. "I saw a few black bears in a brawl back A bit, but other than that, nothing." He added.

"Oh, alright. Hmm..I might go check it out, nothing like a bear fight." Said Av'ren, grinning slightly.

"Well, I gotta do what I'm suppose to, so I'm off." Said Elither, Leaping away from Av'ren. Landing on another branch, he had to run along it a bit, since it was so long. When he leapt onto another branch, he took another look around, before setting off again. Looking down for a moment, he saw a shadow drifting along below him, Elither chuckled slightly, knowing that The Elder had sent Izarus with him. He waved a bit to the shadowed beast, Before leaping onto another branch.

When he landed, the end of the branch snappped under him, he had enough time to anker one foot onto the part of the branch that didn't snap, and pull himself onto it, while the small bit of the branch that had snapped landed just beside the Shadowed Izarus....

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 03:38 AM (GMT)
Izarus formed, as it whipped it's tail out toward the broken limb swiftly, with almost lightning fast reflexes. The snapped piece of limb, flew up at Elither, almost nailing his head, just as he had ducked. He looked back down to Izarus, wide eyed, and could've sworn it grinned, Before returning to his Shadow form.
Elither grumbled slightly, but chuckled a bit, finding humor in it, then leapt away again.

Elither stopped to take a rest for a moment, propping his feet along a thick wide branch, and his back against the tree itself, listening to the sounds of the forest. Leaves ruffling across the ground, and on the branches themselves, as the wind blew, crickets chirping, bird chirping, with a singing like tune, and the occasional roar of a bear, or a howl of a wolf.
"I hope The Elder'll let me do this more." Elither said to himself, yawning loud, and widely, aswell as stretching his arms. he fiddled with his bow for a moment, looking down. Chuckling, he saw Izarus relaxing against the bottom of the tree, sprawled out, as it took it's Beast form.

Elither plucked a pecan from the tree, and took aim at the head of Izarus, closing one eye. He let it drop, after he had the presice aim.

"Clunk!" The pecan smacked right on the top of Izarus's head, as Izarus let out a small growl, before stroking where the pecan hit, with it's right front paw.
Elither snickered slightly, before closing his eyes.

A cloak billowed in the wind a bit loudly, waking Elither up from his small doze. He had enough time to look down, and see A dark blue cloak sweep behind a tree. He went to stand up, before the branch slightly lowered. Looking up, he saw Av'ren standing on the end of the branch, Fuming.

"Where HAVE you been Elither? You were suppose to be back ages ago!" Av'ren yelled, grabbing the collar of Elither's cloak.

"Come on, The Elder wants an explination" Av'ren added, before Elither smacked Av'ren's hand away. "Alright, Alright, sorry, I fell asleep." Elither said, grumbling a bit.

"Tell it to The Elder." Av'ren said simply, leaping away toward's the direction of The clan.

Elither sighed, before leaping off the branch, following suit.

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 04:51 PM (GMT)
Elither slumped behind Av'ren, wondering why he was so mad at him, and how mad The Elder would be. By that time they had made it up back into the village in the giant tree, and walking across the bridge, toward's The Elder's hutt.
Av'ren Knocked on the door, While Elther's stomach seemed to twist around, making whatever he's done feel even worse. A few clanks were heard, yet they sounded nothing like the wooden one's The Elder made, with his staff coming to the door.

The Door opened, and Elither grumbled immidiately, because Garolath was standing there, holding the door open. The Elder's head popped in sight, from the back of the hutt, Looking very aggitated, and worried.
"Well, who is it Garolath?" He Asked, Tapping the staff against the ground a few times.
"It's them, their back." Garolath Grunted, holding the door open. Av'ren walked in, And Elither followed. As he passed Garolath, the Giant sized elf placed A club like fist on Elither's chest, and whisped low enough to where Elither could only hear.

"Figures you'd screw up on the job." He Sneered at Elither, smirking slightly.

Elither returned the whisper. "At least I don't screw up all the time, unlike you." He whispered coldly back, walking away from Garolath.

"Oh. Glad to see you're ok, Young one." Said The Elder, looking slightly relieved.
"Well, come here Young one." The Elder said, Sitting down in a cushy chair.
Elither looked at The Elder with a raised eyebrow, before sitting down infront of The Elder.
"Comfy?" The Elder asked, but he wasn't smiling, he was looking intentivly at Elither, like he was trying to see through him.
"Very, and....Why're you looking at me like that?" Elither asked, chuckling.
"Oh!..No reason." The Elder said, smiling brightly, offering Elither a pear.

"Well, I guess I better go and get some rest, because I never got to finish the rest of the forest I was suppose to." Elither said getting up, But he stopped, when he met The Elder's look.
"Well, what is it?" He asked The Elder.
"Oh..Nothing, well, good luck for tomorrow Young one." The Elder said, getting up aswell. "Well, go and get some rest." He added.

About five minutes later, Elither was pulling his cloak, and boots off, putting them on the chest beside the door, and hopping into bed.

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 06:10 PM (GMT)
Elither woke up early the next day, barely even dawn. He yawned loudly, and stretched a good minute or two, before dragging himself out of bed. He pulled his cloak on, and boots, rubbing his eyes with his left hand occasionally. After getting ready, he sat down for a moment, yawning and stretching again.

"Well, guess it's time." He told himself, getting up, and walking to the door. Pulling the door open, he walked out, and shut it behind him, putting his quiver around his shoulder on his back.

About six minutes later, he was already on the forest floor, munching on an apple. He leapt up onto a low tree branch, and continued to leap up The tree until he was at one of the top branches. He kept an eye on the ground the whole time, in watchout, as he leapt from branch to branch, tree to tree with swift motions, barely making a noise. He sat down a few minutes later, to be able to see the surroundings, and what's in them more thoroughly. But everything was normal, so he leapt away.

Just as he had landed on a thick branch, he heard a cloak sway in the breeze, and looked down to see the dark blue cloak whip away behind a tree again. Elither started to get a bit curious about it, for that was the second time he'd seen that cloak, So he leapt away toward's the direction that cloak whipped away in.

Landing on the tree it had swept behind, he looked, but seen nothing. He sat there for a moment, looking confused, but then leapt away, shaking his head.

"Maybe i'm seeing things." He said to himself several minutes later, shrugging, and scouting the ground below, for anything out of the ordinary. If he hadn't done a double take on it, he would've missed it. Several footprints in the ground indicated someone that had very heavy feet was in here, somewhere, for they were fresh. He leapt down from the tree, and rolled, landing on the ground.
When he pulled himself up, he looked to the tracks for A moment, then swept behind some tree's for cover, but followed them at a distance.

Elither was running behind a thick cover of tree's, following the track's just on the other side, and almost had to skid to a stop, when the thick patch of tree's dissappeared, but the footprints still lead the way. Following them more for about five minutes, he looked up from them, and froze. A man was lieing there, the dark blue cloak covering most of his body, but a puddle of blood laid around him. It seemed something had attacked the man. Elither thought about what the Elder had said about human's before, but shrugged it off, because this man needed help...

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 07:08 PM (GMT)
Elither took one look around for a moment, then took a small step toward the injured man. He took another, expecting something to happen, but it did not come, so he rushed toward's the man. Just as he had come to the man, The cloaked figure suddenly stood up.

Elither stopped abruptly from his run toward's the man, and stood frozen for A moment. It was A dark mage, and it was casting some kind of spell. Elither had enough time to dive behind some tree's, as a hot jet of red flew by, just where he was standing.

"Now, come on little elf, deciding to play hide and seek, are we?" Said the Dark Mage, his voice cold, and deeper then Elither had ever heard. "What do you want with me!?!" Beckoned Elither, scuddling behind some thicker tree's, as a white jet of a spell was cast, and slammed into the tree he was behind. Elither looked in horror as the tree turned to ash, and fell.

Elither only had one choice, so he went ahead and took it, using the tree's as a cover. He got onto his feet, and leaped into the air. Another spell was cast, but it missed, Elither didn't have time to look back. He landed on a lower tree branch, and almost slipped off, due to his shaking, from adrenaline, and fear, but he managed to balance himself out. He leapt away as fast as he could, but he still heard the dark mage's laugh.

Elither looked ahead of him, getting ready to jump to another branch, except there was not one. He stopped running, and backed up against the tree, so at least he had that as cover. He grumbled to himself, knowing that that was a clearing ahead.

He had no choice though, there was no where else to go, and he had to get back to the clan, to warn them. So, He ran, at a full out run across the long branch, and jumped off. Landing in a roll in the clearing, he looked back to See the dark mage appear from the thick of tree's.

"Running back to the safety of you're clan, are ye? I don't think so, fool. They won't like the new you." He Said cruely to Elither, laughing.

Elither rolled onto his feet, and ran straight for the other side of the clearing, he had no cover for what was to come.

"Ithlathiuska!" Bellowed the dark mage, as a Cast of green jetted straight toward's Elither.

Elither turned his head, to see what was about to hit him. His eyes widened in horror as the green jet impaled his back, he felt the searing pain of the spell in his whole body, as it threw him to the ground. His eyesight was getting blurry, and he could barely see, the pain from the spell was strong, and he was writhering on the ground from it. He could barely make out what was hanging over him, but could tell it was the Dark Mage.

"Have fun with you're new self, elf." He said, and swept away, his dark blue cloak dragging over Elither's face. Elither fell unconcious.....

Elither Daegovad - October 10, 2003 08:14 PM (GMT)
His mind swirled for a moment, as did his sight. But soon his mind went clear, as his sight did, and he sat up for a moment. He looked around, though wincing slightly from the pain that the spell had delievered, it still loomed somewhere in his body. He pulled himself onto his feet, and staggered out of the clearing, knocking into tree's here, and tree's there.

Elither felt very drained. He couldn't walk much more. He fell down on the forest floor, gasping for breath, it felt like everything was being sucked from his body.

He managed to pull himself back up after a few minutes, and continue to stagger onwards. Something caught the corner of his eye after a moment of walking, and turned around. Izarus was traveling beside him, keeping both eyes on him.

Elither managed to get back to the Clan alright, with some help of Izarus, for he had carried Elither some of the way. Elither noticed something funny about the clan though, they seemed to avoid his eyes, and almost everyone of them that he crossed, ran the other way.

He thought it best to go and talk to The Elder about the way they were acting, so he crossed the bridge.

When he crossed, he didn't have to enter hutt to meet The Elder, for he was standing at the foot of the other side of the bridge, holding something in his hand, and looking sorrowful.

"What is it Elder?" Asked Elither, when he saw him, but froze at his own voice. It was very deep, harsh, and sounded cold.

"Oh..what has he done to you, Young one..." Said The Elder, almost on the brink of tears.

"I don't know Elder...He casted a spell..." Said Elither, sighing at his own voice.
"He said something about enjoying the new me..." Elither added.

"Elither..You must go now, take a look in a mirror, everyone will try to kill you now, that is why you must go." The elder said, thrusting a small chain, with a crest on it.

"You're father gave me this, to give to you when you were ready." The Elder added, pointing to the crest. "It's you're family crest. Go, Now."

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 01:18 AM (GMT)
Elither was walking away from the bridge, his hands shaking violently from the anger that seemed to have swelled up inside him. But he was not leaving yet, he had to get his things, and say some goodbyes.

He walked into his hutt, to find Av'ren sitting on his bed, his head in his hands.

"Av'ren.....I have to go now..." Elither said, for that was all he could say, Av'ren and Elither had been friends since they were children, best friends at that.

"I hope to see you again one day, friend." Av'ren replied, holding his hand out to Elither. Elither shook Av'rens hand. but pulled away almost immidiatly, for what he had seen. His hand was pale white, unlike before which was a peach color. And they looked almost like spiders, but white. Long, very narrow fingers, but he had an incredible grip with them. He decided it was time to see what he really was, so he turned around, to the mirror.

Gasping in horror, Elither saw what he had been turned too. He did not look Anything like an elf anymore. His face was just as white as his hands were, his eyes were now cold, and gleamed red. His lips were just a bit darker then his skin tone. his hair had been turned to an almost jet white. He thought he looked more like a ghost then anything else.

Elither jerked the hand that cradled the family crest toward's the mirror. Glass shards had flewn everywhere, scraping his left cheek, Av'ren put a hand on Elither's shoulder to calm him down.

"Elither, you need to go, i'm afraid that some of the clan might try and harm you.." He said, sighing. "I must go now Elither, and I give my best wishes of you're new life." He added, walking out of Elither's hutt.

Ten minutes later, Elither walked out of what was once his hutt, Only carrying what he had on, his cloak, boots, and the family crest he put around his neck.
His hands were shaking, and bleeding by now, leaving a trail of blood from his hutt. He pulled his hood over his head, to atleast hide his face.

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 01:50 AM (GMT)
Elither leapt off the top of the tree, which held the small village of elves. Landing on a branch below, he looked around for a moment, and up towards the village, before shaking his head, And leaping down. Landing on one of the lower branches, And hopped off of it.

He looked around for a moment, for his bow, and quiver that he had dropped, to climb up to the village. Finding them, he strung his left arm in the bow, and let the bow hang on his shoulder. Putting the quiver around on his back, he set off on foot, for wherever he was going to, for he did not know, he would probably never know...He was an outcast now, due to his curiousity.

He hadn't been walking for five minutes, when a familiar annoying voice sprang up from his left, in A yell. "So, you're A Filthy Dark Elf now, 'eh?" Garolath said, bringing his club like fist out toward's Elither's jaw from nowhere...

Elither didn't know where it came from, but his reflexes were amazing, he bent backwards, as Garolath's arm outstretches just above him. Elither used his arms to backflip, bringing his legs up toward's Garolath's arm, for Garolath had used his body for the blow, and he was stummbling as it was. His left foot caught Garolath's elbow, causing it to snap backswards, the elbow snapping, as his right foot caught the side of Garolath's face.

Elither stood up, after performing the backflip, and walked away, for the counter he had delivered to Garolath sent him onto the forest floor, cradling his Severely Injured elbow.

"I've been wanting to do that for ages." Elither spat out toward's Garolath, as he walked right past him, Garolath sniffling, trying to hold back the tears, that the pain was causing.

Elither was about 1,000 paces from where he had left Garolath cradling the arm, before he busted out with a cold, stern laugh, much unsuiting Elither. But Elither wasn't only changing on the outside. For some reason, he had an urge to go back, and do more then injure Garolath..He wanted to kill him.

Something caught Elither's eye, like before, and he turned his head, to see what had. Izarus had been following him, a bit distanced, but following.
"..Why are you following me Izarus?" Asked Elither, walking over to the beast.

Izarus just looked up at Elither, as Elither walked next to the beast.
"Hmmmm.." Said Elither, before stroking between Izarus' ears.

"Well, lets go on." Elither said, Quickining his pace slightly...

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 02:48 AM (GMT)
Elither woke up early one morning. He yawned for a moment, then glared at the tree opposite of the one that he was leaning against. His mood had changed drastically from the few days he had been struck with whatever the Dark mage had cast. Elither patted Izarus' head for a moment, for Izarus had seemed to stay by Elither's side. Elither had reasoning suspiscion that The Elder had told Izarus too. Elither shook a few thick strands of white hair from his face, and closed his eyes.

Elither sighed for a moment, and pulled himself to full heigth. "Lets get a move on Izarus." Elither sighed, walking to the left of the tree he was sleeping against. He had been heading east from the village for about 4 days now, and he thought he might be around halfway through the forest. "Only a few more days, Izarus." Elither said, because Izarus kept looking at him, like in question.

Evening that night, Elither had built him a fire, and went to search for some food, he wasn't a vegetarian anymore, he had been craving meat for the past two days. Elither came up on A boar, scraping it's Tusks on a tree. Elither licked his lips slightly, and pulled out an arrow alone, not bothering with his bow. The boar turned around, and squealed slightly, before rushing out Elither.

Elither leaped into the air, just above the rushing boar, and landed behind it, prodding the boar in it's rear end lightly with the arrow, mockingly. The boar squealed once again, then turned around, quicker than Elither had expected, and charged. It lowered it's head at Elither, So it could use the tusks to gore Elither. Elither was able to move slightly to the left, and only got one tusk in his side, using that part of his body as a sacrifice, as he thrusted the arrow at the boar's gut. The boar's tusk snapped Inside Elither's side, as the arrow pierced deeply into the boar's gut. Elither pushed the arrow back some, to get in asmuch damage as he could. The arrow cut a 5 inch gash in the boars gut, before the end of the arrow snapped off. the boar slumped over, kicking it's legs a bit. Elither placed his right hand on his side, Gasping for some breath.
Elither stood there for a moment, before the boar gave it's last breathe, and kick...it had died. Walking over to the boar, Elither grabbed it's tail, and slowly drug it. It took about thirty minutes to get back to his fire, and almost all of his energy, and a pint or two of blood.

Elither woke up the next day, and used some of the boar hide to put a good portion of the meat in, and tied it up, and stuck it in his cloak, he pocketed the tusks, thinking maybe they would come in use. He had pushed some leaves into the wound in his side, to stop the bloodflow overnight, for that was the only thing he could think of, it took a while, but slowly, the leaves did stop the blood up. He winced almost everytime he stepped, because it put pressure on his side. he gave the rest of the meat he had been eating to Izarus, who had ate it greatfully.

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 03:09 AM (GMT)
Finally, Elither had made it out of the forest, and had wandered only half A day to find A village. He pulled his hood on, tucking any hair that might fall out, in, and put some makeshift gloves on, that he had made using some of the hide off the boar.

He needed some supplies, some bandages anyway, so he had walked into the village's store, the only one the village had. Entering, he looked down, so that nobody could see his eyes. He walked up to the counter, and placed the badly gloved hand on the counter. "Sir." He said coldly, tapping the counter heavily, and loudly with his index finger.

"Welcome, and yes?" Asked the shopkeeper, stretching for a moment.

"I need some supplies...do you have any bandages?" Elither asked, looking around for a moment, but then down as people were watching him. A few moments later the shopkeeper came back with a few bandages. "Is that all you need, sir?" Elither nodded his head, and grabbed the bandages, and turned to walk out. When he neared the door, the shopkeeper ran towards it, and stopped infront of it. "You haven't paid yet, sir." the shopkeeper said, shaking his head slightly.

"Paid?" Asked Elither. "I have nothing to pay with..." He added.

"anything valuable on you?" Asked the shopkeeper, trying to be polite.

"..Would this be of any value?" Asked Elither, holding out the tusks from the boar.

"Hmm..... come back to the counter please." The shopkeeper told him, walking back behind the counter. Elither turned to walk back to the counter, and put the tusks on it.

The shopkeeper examined the tusks for a moment, and ducked down behind the counter. A moment later, he came back up with a small sack, that was chinging slightly. "Listen..those tusks are worth about a third of what's in here...but I can tell you'll need this more than I will...take it..." He whispered to Elither, before straightening up. "Thank you sir, and have a nice evening." He added in A louder tone.

A few minutes later, Elither was bandaging up his side, Thinking that The Elder was not right, totally anyways, for that man had been nice to him. But Elither knew better than to trust all humans.

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 03:39 AM (GMT)
Elither was now travelling between towns, still not sure if he should go too far away from the forest he knows inside out, just about, but it seemed he was earning money to buy things, by selling animal hides, claws, fangs, and tusks, but he was only doing this for a bit, to gather enough gold he needed to travel more, and away from his not too distant past.

For some reason, He guesses it was because the man was so nice, but Elither had went and talked to the man that had owned the shop, where he had bought the bandages, and paid him back what the man had given him. Elither thought that besides Izarus, the only friend he had was the Shopkeeper, which he found out his name, Elither thought it was a funny name, so short, and meaningless--John.

Elither was walking toward's A shop, to collect the money off the hides of the bears, wolves, and boars he had slain, but he had not slain them just for the prophet, he had a sick joy of killing them, somewhere deep inside him. Izarus never went to villages with Elither, for Elither asked him not to, thought Izarus might either scare the shopowners, or the other's like him might try and slay Izarus.
A few minutes after being in the shop, Elither returned outside, Pocketing the small bag of gold, and began to walk out of the village, but something had grabbed the back of his hood, and before Elither could do anything, his hood had been pulled from his face.

Elither whipped around, glaring at the person, except he knew the person, despised him. It was Garolath, and he was smirking. No one thought anything of Garolath, because his hair hid the ears of the Elf, Which made him no different from Humans. But the people around that looked at Elither gasped, screamed, yelled, and ran. They had seen his pale complexion, and his gleaming red eyes.

"Heh, so this is where you've been, You scum." Garolath said, smirking. Elither looked down at Garolath's arm, then smirked, it was useless, he had done too much damage to it, knowing this because the odd angle it was held, it had been almost half a year since he had injured Garolath's arm, and he still cradled it slightly, and the elbow couldn't be seen from where it should be.
"Go away before you annoy me Garolath, and force me to render you're other arm useless. Oh, and you call me scum for being here...what exactly are YOU doing here?" Sneered Elither, smirking even more.

".....You wouldn't dare..." Sputtered Garolath, taking a few steps back, as Elither glared at him.

"Like I said, go away." Elither repeated, turning around, pulling his hood back on. "You better hope you never cross my path again Garolath, I might not be so nice, as before." Elither added, with a cruel chuckle, before walking out of the town, flicking the bag of gold, making it ching.

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 04:27 AM (GMT)
Elither slammed his back up against A tree, cursing loudly."Damn that Garolath, now I won't be able to collect anything from that village..at least i have two left.." Elither said, thinking for a moment. "Izarus, you around?" Elither asked loudly, wondering if Izarus was even around this area, Izarus had been wandering around lately. But, Izarus came prowling out of the small patch of tree's just outside the village, letting out a loud roar like yawn.

"Hungry?" Elither asked, holding out a large slab of meat. Izarus took the meat from Elither's hand in it's mouth, and laid down, holding the meat up with his two front paws, and licked the meat for a bit. Elither slid down the tree, taking out some meat for himself, and bit off a piece, this bit of meat he had previously cooked.

By the time Elither had half finished his piece of meat, Izarus was already through with his, and yawned again. "Lets find somewhere to camp for tonight, Izarus, then tomorrow we'll head back, and visit John, it's been a while since i've had a chance to." Elither said, Standing up, knowing that now that village seen what he was, he didn't want them to find him so easily.

About 3 hours later, they were around 15 miles from the village, and had a fire set up. Elither had some Animal fur down, for him, and for Izarus to lay on. Elither laid down on his bit of furr, and used the rest he had to cover his lower body up, and used his hands as a pillow. By now it was dusk, and the stars were starting to come out, which he was looking at. He took a glance over at Izarus, and he was laying on his back too, mocking Elither. He chuckled, prodding Izarus in his face lightly, as Izarus pawed at Elither playfully.

"Beautiful night.." Elither said, sighing a bit, relaxed for once. "I wish that had been Av'ren, or The Elder, and not Garolath.." Elither admitted, sighing again, but a sad sigh, and closed his eyes.

Morning came, and a bit too soon for Elither's liking. The fire had gone out sometime last night. Elither sat up, after giving a yawn, Izarus was prowling around, sniffing. "Hungry?" Asked Elither, unrolling a long bit of hide. After it was unrolled, the hide held several pieces of meat, into which Elither tossed A few of the largest to Izarus, which he laid down and ate. Elither took a chunk out of one, and thought for a moment.

After an hour of being up, Elither rolled up the furs, and bundled them together. He tied them to his back, and looked to Izarus. "Will you be joining me, on the visit to John?" Elither asked, Izarus looked intentivly to Elither, then nodded slightly. Elither chuckled, still amazed at how smart the beast was.

Elither Daegovad - October 11, 2003 05:10 AM (GMT)
It was about noon, and the sun was up, and burning hot, Elither had already taken his cloak off."Damn it's hot today.." Elither said to Izarus, looking at him. Elither snorted with laughter, seeing what Izarus had done. Izarus wandered off the trail, and into a line of tree's beside it, keeping in the shade.

"Clever one, you are." Elither said, strafing to the right, to get under the shade with Izarus. Once he was, he stretched, and yawned. Looking up, he saw an apple dangling above him, and jumped up a bit to snatch it from the tree. He landed, holding two apples, figuring that he might aswell grab one for Izarus, which he held out to Izarus. Izarus took the apple from Elither's hand, into his mouth, and gave a few crunches, before swallowing. Elither took a bite out of his, And chewed for a moment, before smirking. He had seen something jet across the trail infront of him. Garolath, of course. he had heeded Elither's warning, and once he had spotted Elither, made sure not to cross his path again.

Nearing the village a few hours after he had seen Garolath, Elither pulled the cloak on, and hooded himself.
"If you want Izarus, you can use my shadow, as cover." Elither offered, and Izarus took the offer, fading into a shadow, and looming just behind Elither.

When Elither entered the village, a few of them waved, but other then that, took no notice of him, which was what Elither wanted, not to be noticed. Elither walked toward the shop, owned by John. Yawning a bit, something hit him in the small of his back, hard enough to cause him to stagger foward. Elither looked back, and saw some yellow eyes, glinting slightly in his shadow, then dissappear. Elither tilted his head to the side, And whispered to Izarus "Ass." A small purr emitted fromn the shadow, which caused Elither to chuckle slightly.

Elither stopped at the door of the Shop, and froze still. There was A sign up. "Closed, for sale." Elither read, his eyes widening for a moment. he looked around, and saw a young woman walk past him. "Ma'am?" He said.

"Yes?" The lady replied, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Where has the owner of this shop gone? He would never sale this shop.." Elither said, frowning slightly.

"Oh...Are you a friend of his?" The lady asked, frowning aswell, and walked up to Elither.

"Yes..I am, where has he gone?" Elither demanded, but took a step back, when she placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm..terribly sorry dear, but he passed away just A week ago, he was very ill.." The lady said, and nodded, walking away.

It took Elither a few days for the reality of the words the lady said to finally sink into him. He had finally started to eat, and take care of hiself. "Well Izarus." Elither sighed, but smiled, standing up. "No reason to stay around here anymore." He added. Izarus tilted his head for a moment. "I only stayed around, because John was A friend. Now, he's gone, and I have enough gold to travel A bit, I wan't to get far away from here." He said to Izarus. Elitheryawned for a moment, and patted Izarus. "C'mon Izarus, lets go." Elither said, starting to walk, but not toward any of the villages, nor the forest. Elither looked to Izarus, and smiled.

"[I] Lets journy the world......[I]"

((OOC: Well, I hope the people who have viewed this liked it. I know it probably sucked, but well, It was my piece of doo doo.^_^ Anyways, This concludes this bit of Elither's past.))
