Hear-ye! Hear-ye!

It is by decree of the Admins of Dark Isles that a tournament shall be held! Ready thine arms to test thy might in honorable battle! The contest shall begin soon, and all who wish to participate may sign up here!

The 1st Dark Isles Tournament shall start in a week, but first we need applicants. There will be battles in each realm, in each 'domain'.

Avalon - The green fields of Avalon will be stained black by combatting warriors! The foothills shall know true fury from the clashing blades of Knights!

Hybernia - Forests of the majestic Rangers will be shook asunder by myriad battles for one's glory. The wood-built cities will also feel this rage.

Outer Rim - The lakeside woods will quiver, and the fish will flee as magic bursts in massive volleys over the realm. Tree-mounted coliseum will be created for the battles to ensue.

Rionolianthu - Deadly sandstorms will bust and send hoards of sand like waves across the deserts of this realm.

This will be the first big, mutli-realm event and all are welcome to sign up! Prepare your weapons and magic, train up, and purchase items. Rules will be posted in a new board under The Realms - made specifically for the tournament. Prepare yourself!

Alkioth takes a step foreward to the herald, pushing through the crowd of commonwealth.

"I shall enter! I am unafraid!"

Valcrist pushes through as well, just behind Alkioth.

"Nor am I! Add me to the list!"

Bolindad stands next in line, pushing his hood off his head.

"Count me in also."

So you all mean to tell me that there are no other brave souls in all of Hypeltheon? Why... this isn't even enough to have a proper mini tournament. We'd need at least one more contender to make a very small tournament.

We need 8 members, or the tournament is a no-go. Come now, there must be some other willing warriors out there somewhere. If we can get 16 participants, it will be quite a show! Step forward and show yourselves! :lol:

Drayco stretchs his arms and takes a step forward.

"I'll fight."

Kahlan stays where she is behind the guys and crosses her arms.

"I'll join the tournament."

"I too shall test my mettle in this competition," said Donovan from behind the other contestants.
He looked around, wondering how he found his way here when just moments ago he was lost in the forest east of Helineth.

"I shall do what I can. I will Fight."

A Dark figure shadowed by a green cloak steps forth behind the others, cold red eyes gleaming from the hood. White strands of hair slowly billow from the hood, as Elither Daegovad pulls the hood from his face.

"I shall enter...this Tournament."

For a bit Tonio stands atop a rooftop dramatically, looking upon the people registering for the tournament, all looking for their chances at glory and prizes. He grins a bit to himself, knowing that none would be able to see him at first from behind the young Ranger's illusion known as the Will of Sight. His cloak blows lightly in the wind, even as within his mind the decision to join the tournament is made. However, everything is in appearances, so at the same time, he decides to make an entrance that would be worth noticing.

A brief amount of energy is shunted downwards through the muscles of the legs by the ranger, temporarily increasing his speed exponentially. He drops his Will of Sight as he leaps upwards off the rooftop, enhanced by the intense speed caused by his Shukuchi. His boots collide roughly with the ground beneath him, sending a resounding echo throughout the bones of his body. Tonio grins to himself, ignoring the slightly pain at the vibrations, instead heading directly to the sign-in area. The speed of his movement lifts the cloak behind him as he moves, causing fallen leaves on the ground to blow aside from his path. He comes to a stop in front of the man accepting registrations, his cloak falling back down to his side as the free energy within his body is released, leaving his legs slightly sore, but not far too much.

He then pulls down the hood of his cloak, grinning a bit for all the crowd to see as he looks at the man with carefully calculating, yet at the same time brash, eyes. He taps the hilt of the rapier at his side, gripping it tightly for a second.

"I, Tonio Asura, shall join this tournament." That is all he says to the man before pivoting on his right boot, walking back out through the crowd through the gap he created to prepare for the upcoming tournament.

Well, then! That makes 9! Do we have 7 more brave souls who wish to match wits against Hypeltheon's best? Glory awaits all who wish to reach that extra inch! :lol:

Arion yawns, leant against a wall a few metres outside the assembled crowd. Laughter and cries are everywhere, people are obviously excited about the tournament. He pulls his left glove on properly, and then pushes off from the wall, starting to make his way across the little empty space that remains.

"I'm gonna enter, just to show my parents what i'm made of."

"You wont get in, you've got no chance."

"Well, nor do you."

Arion smiles and pushes his cloak to the side. His eyes seem to be completely white for a moment, before he blinks and they return to their normal colour. He takes a simple step forwards, putting a hand on the handle of his Rapier and tightening his grip, before pulling the weapon out into the light and letting it hang lazily at his side.

"Tournament, eh? Sounds like this could be a bundle of fun." he laughs, making his way through the crowd to the masses gathered around the signup desk. He runs a hand through his hair and stepping up to the desk.

"Do we have 7 more brave souls who wish to match wits against Hypeltheon's best? Glory awaits all who wish to reach that extra inch!"

"I'll give you an extra inch, if you want." Arion grins, putting his Rapier on his shoulder. "I'm Arion Kagemusha, i'm a Ranger. You need people to fight, then you've got one. Sign me up."

With this, he sheaths his rapier snugly, turns on his heel and walks off, dissolving into the masses as though he wasn't there in the first place.

Okay, I've realized that many people are of lower levels. This puts pressure on the magic-based classes to perform, if they join the tournament. They'd be hardpressed to win a fight because of their lacking in combat skills.

So, for this tournament - until the Magic Classes get to higher levels, and thus even things up a bit, Mages, Druids, and Clerics may take a weapon of their choice that is a level of 10 or less. Hopefully this will aid them in their victory.

But this is the only tournament that it will be allowed. And you cannot change your weapon choices after each event. You pick a weapon and stick with it. So if a Cleric, Mage, or Druid registers, please state your weapon of choice in that post for refrence purposes. (You have no realm restrictions, either. So pick whatever you like that's level 10 or below.)

Crest walks through the town when he see's a crowd of warriors. He walks to the crowd and slowly pushes his way to the front, being jabbed and pushed on the way. Ah, a tournament, Crest examined. Crest listened to the many warriors stepping forward to sign up, yelling out their names and claiming to fear nothing. Crest smirked at their decision, followed by a shrug of his shoulders.
"Might as well join the fun, what is there to lose?" Crest said outloud. "Sign me up as well."
"Very good, sir. What name shall I write here?" Asked the man.
"Crestierem, mage..."
"Ah, I see. Since you are a mage, you have a choice of weapons if you do not want to fight with the ones you have." The man explained. Crest lifted his blindfold slightly and examined the equipment they had for loan.
"I'll take the 'Hell's Bane,' thank you," Crest said as he recovered his eyes.
"Excellent choice," The man said as he scribbled on the piece of paper.

Shryo walks through the croud and asks if he can still sign up. If so please sign him up he says.

We have 12 applicants! Are there 4 more brave souls out there who would like to test their metal against fellow warriors and adventurers? I know you're all there, don't be shy! :D

Those of you who wish to get into the Plot-Based edition of Dark Isles, where rewards are better, quests are richer, and stories blend, mix, become deep, and exciting (hopefully a bit of everything for people of all palates), then please register with the tournament! I will use this as a benchmark for those who seek to join. Then, mixed with posting ability and activity, I will draw up members from almost every realm to compile a starting team. ^_^

UPDATE!!!

Due to lack of 4 applicants, and conflicting schedules, the Tournament is being postponed until Next Friday at 7:30 PM PDT, 10:30 PM EDT. Please continue with your quests and gain some levels before the tournament actually begins.

Registration closes this Thursday and the brackets will be posted in the Tournament of Champions board.
