Background: Katana was born and raised in Ashenkio, with her parents, sister Kyra, and brother Blade...she the oldest of them. Her parents leaving one day for no reason left Kahlan to take care of her siblings. She was 16 when this happened, Blade 15 and Kyra 14. Always determined to take care of them she learned to weild a sword from a neighbor, and decided to become a Knight when her brother and sister were old enough to take care of themselves. Over the few years she grew a hatred for her parents and disowned them in her mind wondering why? To hide her emotions from her siblings she practice keeping a face of nothingness to reveal no emotion, using it alot now to hide what bothers her unless she is angered.

Since you're a Knight, you will start out in Avalon. There's a quest with Crestierem in it right now. His partner is pretty much dead - so you may take his place. Good luck!
