can we only dye an article of equipment as we're purchasing it? or can we change the color whenever? my next question is can we dye weapons? The reason i asked is because i was wondering if i could dye my equipment:) i know its a waste, and im sure i probably wont do it until i actualy buy something(after u get the shops done, of course), and if it must be done when i purchase something i want to know so i can do it then

you may dye it whenever you wish, and no - you may not dye swords or any weapons. Only the cloaks can be dyed, and the armors can be stained. And, keep in mind that if you sell a stained weapon, though it will sell for a little more than normal, your new weapon will have to be restained. So make sure it's something you're going to use for a while, or keep.

One thing that has yet to've been mentioned.

Soiling your armor is free.

yes, but there's the opportunity cost of being very uncomfortable...until you can wash yourself and your armor...or if you have really really really strange preferences...*ahem*

Yes, but it is a decreasing opportunity cost if you continue to soil your armor before cleaning it. So why not? :P

Because then you have to deal with washing it later. Yucky stuff.

i know u posted weapons cant be stained, so im just askin for clarity. Weapon should be equipment right?

Yes, a weapon is equipment - HOWEVER, the stains section is listed under Armor, you may not stain the following:

Weapons
Hand Armor
Leg Armor
Helms
Coronets (we're thinking of adding them)



Only body armor and cloaks / hooded cloaks may be stained.

Actually, Derhlith does the thinking -- I just toss a coin or throw random opinions at him to try to trip him up.

More-or-less, yeah. If there's a level requirement on it, and all the lvl 1 stuff is 4000 Gold, then yes, you may purchase from that store.
