Title: Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field
Description: Woo! Me' n Basti gonna burn somethin'!

Xantos - February 14, 2005 03:37 AM (GMT)
Xantos sorted through his inventory as he leaned against one of the walls partially enclosing the Chaos Gate, making sure he had the right equipment for this. Inferno Wand... Somehow he had two, so that was good to go. Wand of Wisdom... Yup. He knew he had that one, since he used it a lot on his previous quest. Well, three fire spells, one of which was a level two oughta be good enough for what he 'n Arcion were planning to do. Grinning at the thought, he pictured the looks on the faces of anyone that happened to wander into the field they were going to while they were there.

"Muahahahahah," he laughed under his breath, "This is gonna be so great... I really wish The World had gasoline... Tha'd make this so much easier. Oh well! That'll just make it all the more challenging! Let's see... I better let Arcion know I'm ready..."

Opening a Flashmail window, Sandy's fingers rat-a-tat-tapped over the keys as he composed the message.

"There, that should do it. Woo! Send!"

Xantos looked around to see if anything interesting was going on, his tail flicking lazily every now and again. The normal crowd was hustling and bustling in and out of the Chaos Gate enclosure, discussing Rares they'd found, the Tournament, real life, and just things in general. Sometimes he could make out a snatch of conversation.

"Like, I totally can't believe I like, found a Phoenix's Wing! Like, this is so awesome!"

"Oooooh... Really? Neat! That is a good find! May I see it?"

A hostile unfamiliar voice penetrated his thoughts, forcing him to concentrate on what it was saying.

"Hey freak! What're you doin' here? The few friends you got kick you out? Ahahahahah! Whadda ya' say boys, should we 'help' this mutt out?" The two PCs standing on either side of the Heavyblade laughed stupidly.

The PC on the Heavyblade's left was a fellow Wavemaster, with emerald green hair and cobalt blue eyes. He was twirling his staff slowly as if he was bored, and was attempting to amuse himself but failing. The other one, a Heavy Axe, had lighting yellow hair and a scar under one amber eye. The axe on his back had intricate lightning shaped patterns decorating the flat of the blade, and Xantos was pretty certain his favorite element was Lightning. Mind you, it was just a hunch.

"I don't need any help thanks, but I appreciate the offer. Why don't you go hunt rares or something?"

"Oho! Doesn't need help eh? Well, we'll see about that. C'mon boys, let's give him a hand!"

The three PCs lunged at him. Xantos rolled out of their way, and leapt to his feet.

"Stay back or I'll burn you!" he warned.

"Ahahahahaha! Try all you want mutt!"

Xantos turned around and whipped out his Wand of Wisdom, shouting out a spell. "VAK KRUZ!" When the six familiar orbs didn't come, he blinked. "Oooh crap... Arcionnnnn! If you can hear me, HEEEEEEELP!"

Arcion - February 16, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
The tiger PC sat by the Dun Loireag facsimile of Mac Anu's river, where he usually managed to catch the ship of his clan. He watched the portal of the server for the wolf cub named Xantos, they were paired for the tournament occuring on Lambda and Arcion had caught the wolf's love for fire. With all the spells they could get their hands on, the wavemaster and archer would have their fun in one of The World's fields.

He glanced up at the tone which told him a flashmail had been recieved.

Heya Basti! It's me! Just thought I'd let you know I'm ready for our barbeque in Bursting Passed Over Aqua Field! I'll be waiting at the Chaos Gate, so look for me there! Don't forget to bring Fire spells!

He glanced over at the Chaos Gate and began his scan for wolf ears when he remembered the rule CC Corp had placed on the servers outside of Delta, he wasn't sure why it had been placed, if people wanted to get killed they should be allowed to do it. He stood and padded over to the gate and ordered it to return him to Delta server, grinning at the startled PCs looking at his skin for the first time.

His data was reformed in Mac Anu and scanned, even if the clan weren't the tallest player characters in The World, they stood out in a crowd, but he failed to notice the canine untill he listened to the roar of the crowd.

"Oooh crap... Arcion! If you can hear me, HEEEEEEELP!"

"There he is" Padding over to where his friend's voice came from, still on all fours, he tapped the closest avatar. "What's going on here?"

The wavemaster recoiled for a moment then turned to his buddies. "Here's another one." The tiger stood and walked to his partner and the three bullies surrounded the two raiders. When the tiger stepped upright, the bow across his chest and the quiver at his 'belt' became more ovbious.

When the two heavy classes noticed the tiger was a PC they stepped forward. He tried to load his bow and realized that SP wouldn't work in town. "Lets make this a duel, give us a chance to defend ourselves." They didn't appear to be willing to allow it so Arcion darted through the circle they were holding, and warped Xan and himself into a local field.

Xantos - February 16, 2005 01:35 AM (GMT)
Xantos gazed back at the Chaos Gate, spinning lazily in the field. What kind of problem did those PCs back there have with them? As far as he could tell, he had never seen them before. So why did they hold such a grudge? Ah well. It was doubtful he'd ever see them again, so it really didn't matter.

Stretching, he gazed around the field. It looked like a Wood type, although not the one they wanted, with majestic old trees forming a forest to their left, and an azure blue lake to their right. Ripples flowed across the water's surface, propelled by a slight breeze. He'd have to remember this field, it seemed like it would make a great place to relax when he was stressed out.

Don't look now, but here they come again.

"Wha? Ranji? What are you talk-"

"There's the freaks! Oi! You two! Get back here!"

"Greaaaaat.... Heads up Arcion! We got company! ...Again." Xantos whipped out his Inferno Wand and turned to face the three PCs. "Who are you and what do you want with us?"

"Ahahahahaha! What do we want? To kill you of course!" the Heavy Blade replied. "My name is Nyawar, remember it well, 'cause it'll be one of the last three names you hear before you die! Ahahahaha!"

"Eesh... That laugh is reaaally getting on my nerves," Xantos whispered to Arcion.

"This," the Nyawar continued, pointing at the Wavemaster, "is B'bruuguul. And this," this time she pointed at the Heavy Axe, "is Gorwar."

"You still haven't answered why you want to kill us yet," Xantos pointed out.

"Because freaks like you don't deserve to live! Look at that!" Here, Nywar pointed at his tail, which was swishing behind him idly. "You can't tell me that's normal."

"Of course it's not!" Xantos replied vehemently. "Who wants to be normal? Not me, that's for sure. Bah. Being normal takes no creativity at all!"

Nyawar's eyes widened, and quickly narrowed into a glare. "Hmph. C'mon boys, let's show them 'the way out.'"

The Heavy Blade's companions nodded, grinning, and they each split up. Their method of battling, however, left something to be desired. The Wavemaster went up front, and the Nyawar fell to the back, chanting a spell. Gorwar was inbetween, making the formation all the more confusing. Why would they keep their melee characters towards the back while the support characters went ahead? That was more than just stupid, it was abysmally horrid battle technique.

Suddenly, six icicles came slamming into him from nowhere. "ELEMENTAL HIT" flashed above him as he stumbled backwards, more surprised than hurt. That must have been Nyawar's spell, since it had done minimal damage even after the Elemental bonus. Well, time for him to return the favor.

"BiVak Rom!" he shouted, twirling his wand in the air before slamming it down on the ground bottom first. In the distance, a large funnel of swirling fire began to form, careening towards the trio. Flames licked at the air, sending embers shooting off in several directions. The three PCs made a desperate attempt to scatter from the tornado, but they were too late for the most part. The only one who got away with minimal burnage and injuries was the Wavemaster.

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Burnage! C'mon Arcion! Join me!"

Arcion - February 22, 2005 05:48 PM (GMT)
Arcion shook his head, these guys were no competition. He was about to loose an electric arrow, just to show how out matched they were when Xantos shouted at him. We did enter a field to start cooking. He told the tiger in his head, it made him seem a little less crazy to himself, but to those outside the clan he might as well be talking to himself.

Switching bows to the first archer weapon, he still outclassed the wavemaster who had decided to chase the cat alone. That left Xan against the two heaviest classes, but he could take care of himself against these guys. The arrow landed just in front of B'bruuguul, causing him to stop his charge, and started the grass below his feet to begin smoking. The cloud of smoke made it hard to target his opponent quickly and he decided to regroup with his teammate.

"Why are these guys so insistent?" He asked the wolf while his hand wavered near the quiver on his hip. When he created another arrow the one still creating clouds of smoke over the hill would vanish and their wavemaster would rejoin his team. "I heard something about your hack.." He trailed off as his fourth voice 'awoke' and sent an idea. "If they don't like our hacks, lets really show them what Ranji can do."

As he released his mind and allowed his second avatar-personality control, the ground began to quiver. "Earthquake?" He asked. Living in Southern California had killed his suprise over the event, but he hadn't encountered anything that would create them in The World. Their opponents looked over to the smoked out area with grins on their faces and he followed their eyes. Big rolling rock? His voice asked, watching through Arcion's eyes. "Yes, very big rolling rock." He answered. He knew wavemasters were the class with access to the Summon class of spells, but he didn't think their team was strong enough to control one, especially the earth golem that was currently walking towards them with the wavemaster on it's shoulder.

"You still have Wryneck, right?" He asked his partner. "Would you happen to have any wood spells?"

Xantos - March 1, 2005 02:32 AM (GMT)
Xantos stared at the huge golem stomping their way with a Wavemaster sitting on its shoulder grinning for a few moments before he was able to process the fact that he was being addressed by Arcion.

"You still have Wryneck, right? Would you happen to have any wood spells?"

"Err... Juk Don... But that's it. I think Wryneck would be a better choice here though... I doubt I have enough SP for that many Juk Dons."

Xantos rummaged through his inventory for his father's Diabolic Wand. Switching it out for his Wand of Wisdom, he closed his eyes and firmly rapped the bottom of the staff on the ground, with a shout of "Wryneck!"

A wind sprung up around him, and instinctively he winced at the...lack of warmth or cold? He could feel the wind, but it wasn't like any wind he'd ever felt before. It seemed to have no heat of it's own, or lack thereof. Strange. He could feel it toying with his hair, and his cloak, whipping them around. A small dark portal appeared in front of him, and slowly began to enlarge somewhat reluctantly. As it grew, he leaned forward, hoping to get an early glimpse of Wryneck.

A dark mist began to billow out of the portal, and slowly he could see something begin to emerge. First came a huge, black, draconic-looking head with ferce red eyes. It looked majestic and savage and awe-inspiring all at once. Black mist drizzled out of it's nostrils, and it's eyes narrowed. Then with a great heave, it forced itself out of the portal, bringing it's body into full view.

Midnight black scales covered its large body. Wryneck was so large, he dwarfed a normal Player Character by about three to five times, it was hard to tell at that height. Slowly, Wryneck's head swiveled to look at Xantos.

"We need you to take out that Golem!" Xantos shouted up to Wryneck. Wryneck nodded, and gave a loud screech. Xantos winced, his sensitive hearing picking it up at about double volume. "Can we... Possibly... Tone that down... jeeest a few jillion decibels? Y'know... Just a thought." Wryneck appeared not to have heard him however, and with another screech he let out a jet of black fire, causing Xantos to wince again. "Or not. It's your choice really."

Wryneck beat his wings once, and took off in a mess of dust and debris. After rising to about twenty or thirty feet above the ground, he slowly ceased his ascent and his wingbeat slowed to a steady flap about every second or so. Gradually Wryneck took aim on the Golem. Six black orbs appeared on his wings, one on the inside, middle, and tip of each wing. Eventually they became black flames, which Wryneck sent flying into a circle around Yarthkins with a screech and a great flap of his wings. Slowly the fires circled around the Earth elemental summon like vultures waiting for their victim to die, leaving streaks of shadows in the places they had been.

Xantos turned to Bastion, knowing Wryneck would take care of Yarthkins. He was slightly exausted from using so much SP so fast. "There... Hopefully that'll take care of their Summon. Heck. It'll have to. That's almost all of my SP. I have Mage's Souls if we need them, but..."

Arcion - March 1, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
"There... Hopefully that'll take care of their Summon. Heck. It'll have to. That's almost all of my SP. I have Mage's Souls if we need them, but..."

"Lets save the souls for the burning." Arcion chuckled. "Those two should be able to take each other out." The two would probably run out of time while battling.

Now they needed to attack the Heavyblade and the Heavyaxe. Both had stood still to watch their teams golem approach, and then gape at Xantos' Wryneck as it billowed out of it's dimension. His ears were focused away from the creature, so they weren't torn by the creature's screech though it was teeth grating enough for the tiger.

Striking him with an arrow broke Gorwar's attention and he in turn freed Nyawar. A second arrow struck the Heavyblade and both began to charge forward. The Archer shot another four arrows at the pair, and poked the wolf cub's arm. "There aren't any trees around, we'll need to get some room before we can allow our hacks to terrorize these guys." With the golem gone, or at least unimportant now, they could scare these three into leaving them alone.

Ranji and Xantos would alert him when it was safe to change form, he just hoped that neither of the summoned beasts would let out another screech and completely deafen his wavemaster teammate.

Xantos - March 13, 2005 08:59 PM (GMT)
((OOC: Eh. Sorry this took so long. ^.^; It may not be the best post in the world, but hey, it's something right? x.x Eh. Stupid writers block.))

Xantos grinned. Despite the fact that these people were annoying, they were pretty good burning material. Quickly, he switched out his father's Diabolic Wand for one of his two Inferno Wands. "BiVak Rom!"

As the sky darkened, a meteor came zooming into the field, one or two sizes larger than the normal Vak Don meteor, coming to land on the panicking Heavy Axe and Heavy Blade. It certainly looked painful, although he had no idea how it felt, seeing as how he'd never been hit with one personally.

"You know... If this keeps up, I won't have any SP left for our uh," he coughed, "bonfire. I wonder when these guys will just give up and run away? I mean, seriously. Their total level must be like... four. Or something low, seeing how one-sided this is. Well, maybe a bit higher, seeing as how they summoned something. But whatever."

Xantos blinked as he glanced towards Nyawar and Gorwar. The huge meteor that he had just sent plummeting into their faces was gone. Weird. Eh. Probably some screwy game physics at work. Who knew how these things worked.

"Err... Hey Arcion. If we're trying to not kill these people, we should probably not kill them soon, they can't have much HP left after this kinda thrashing. Although I'd dearly love to finish them off." He nodded. "Also, on a side note, I'm almost out of SP. I have about... Ten. Ish. So yeah. No SP is baOW. Okay, that's it. I'm gonna make you PAY for that one little man."

His shout of pain was caused by a spell from Gorwar. The Heavy Axeman had taken it into his head to try and cast a Rai spell on him. "You will SO pay for that," Xantos muttered. "Hey Arci. I call Mr. Butcher over there. You can have the other one, or two if you like, but I. Call. Butcher boy."

Arcion - April 2, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
"Sure, not killing." He started walking towards the two, hearing the sounds of battle from Wryneck and the golem behind him, eyes focused on the heavyblade who seemed to be acting the part of leader in the trio. Words passed between the two, then Gorwar stepped out of his peripheral vision and Nyawar stepped back and began a charge. All the while, Arcion was mentally prodding the seemingly tiger voice in his head. "Time to come out and play, your turn."

Something triggered at the word 'turn' and a few seconds later, a white tiger was running at his attacker. Nyawar saw the change, but didn't stop and the tiger dodged his blade, placing his back paws on the player's back and pushing him to the ground with a leap.

The tiger turned, catching a glimpse of a wolf and another player, his ears turned towards where the summons had been battling and heard nothing, evidentally the two had defeated each other. The leader tried another stab at the feline, which it dodged easily, and moved to try and rejoin his companion.

There the wavemaster had approached his partner and they stood, staring at the two animals growling at them. When the heavy blade joined them, the tiger crouched in a beginning of a pounce, and the trio called the rings to return their avatars to Mac Anu.
