Title: Betting for Intraclan Dueling Tournament
Description: The Betting Booth
FXOmniCrest - May 26, 2004 01:35 AM (GMT)
Okay then, Welcome to the Betting Booth.
If you bet on someone, and that person fails, the one who was betting for the opponent of your guy/gal (Akane, if you join, or did you already?) will get your money plus their own back, leaving you with whatever you had left after you put your money in the pot.
In other words, I send in 500 GP for player 1, while another guy sends in 600 GP for player 2. Player 2 wins, so they guy who betted on player 2 will get both my GP, 500, plus his own, 600, back, for a total of 1100 GP. Now really, he only won 500 GP, but he gets his own GP back.
Any questions?
If not, the betting booth will be running as soon as we get the match ups.
BETTING LIMITS!!!
First Round: No limit
Second Round: Limit 200 minimum
Third Round: Limit 500 minimum
If we have grudge matches, it will be:
Grudge Matches: Any amount of GP
In other words, no limit for grudges.
BETTING SYSTEM FOR PERCENTAGES!!!
Okay, as well as the first, basic, system of betting mentioned as the first thing above, there is also the fact that we will have an un-even number of people betting against each other.
An example might explain better than words here...
DUELER 1...............................................DUELER 2
Better 1a: 500 GP.....................................Better 2a: 500 GP
Better 1b: 500 GP.....................................Better 2b: 500 GP
Better 1c: 500 GP
Better 1d: 500 GP
Dueler 1 wins, and then the money is split up due to the percentages of money betted by the winners.
Because each contributed 25%, that means, they each get 25% of the total amount of money, 1000 GP. That means, they gain back there own money, plus an additional 250 GP. It can be more complicated than this, however, but you get the basic picture.
IMPORTANT!!!
YOU MAY NOT BET ON ANY DUEL YOU ARE IN!!!

Could I just put 200Gp on Aeneas for all his matches? You could take it out of my weekly GP pay day...
Oh, and I think both should pay the same amount, because someone could pay only 1GP while the other pays 200000Gp or something... And if the 1GP guy wins then it wouldn't be a pretty sight...

ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED ABOVE!
Just a friendly shout-of-a reminder.

The organizer of the duels adds a stipulation:
You may NOT bet on a duel that you yourself are involved in.

Good point, master of duels... I shall add that right away, sir!

The word "Better" in your example is a little confusing. I just realized you mean gambler. Also, I'm considering that we make this a public gambling opportunity and that we have the duels judged by moderators since it is easier. I'd like people's opinions on this, though.

Slicer, the betting system is run on percentages. That means if 1000 total GP is bet on person a, than that one person who only bet 1 GP will rake in .1% of the total bet against person a.

Betting is now in session. Gamblers, take your positions around the pot and toss in your money, please!
To the duelers, best of luck.
To myself, darn, I have no luck!

Savior X walks into the betting area. *Talks in a deep Wester voice* "Put all my money on that Savior X guy, he's the bomb." lol j/k. How about you put down 200 GP for Aeneas to win his first match and 200 GP down for Slicer to win his first match. *Places 400 GP on the table*
