Shadowfyre - May 24, 2003 06:22 PM (GMT)
Such schools! How horrible. The world caused this tragedy to happen?! Its a mayhem!

fathom - June 12, 2003 02:33 AM (GMT)
whay world the school evern do this kind of stuff anyway, come on ,some thing is going on in the schools

Destiny - June 19, 2003 03:01 PM (GMT)
so you would rather have hundreds of kids with knives and lighters and such walking around in school? I agree with most of the terms.......but changing bus colors to blue is just gonna make busses more dangerous and harder to see! And a 2 week suspension for the WORLD is just plain harsh!

sakuramimato - July 12, 2003 12:16 AM (GMT)
I do agree with Destiny, but did they have to make it evident that the game two-week suspension rule was directed for The World? Are those rules really set into real life? It's hard to believe..

Gwydion - July 12, 2003 01:41 AM (GMT)
Personally, I don't see the problem with playing The World at school. I do it all the time. At the college I'm going to we have four computers set up in the library for the student body. In between classes I'll hop online and check the BBS to see what's been happening lately, and I'm not the only one.

I do see their point though, games in class could be a distraction, but two weeks suspension... Wow. When I was in High school we only got two weeks if we did something really destructive like brawling in the halls or wrapping a teachers car in duct tape.

Tsurugi - July 12, 2003 05:27 AM (GMT)
A two week suspension wouldn't be all that bad for playing "The World." Just imagine, that's two weeks of playing all day when you'd normally be in school. Though I'm not saying get in trouble on purpose just to play...

Gwen_Pendragon - July 13, 2003 04:04 PM (GMT)
hmmm...honestly I don't have time to play 'The World' at school...h--l, I hardly ever have time at home, but the two week suspension...I would never expect them to enforce it...unless they have internet police...(like Denver public schools do) then they won't know when your on the site...but hey, they may have very observant people on the staff at the school, who knows...

Nick - July 13, 2003 08:12 PM (GMT)
I agree with Tsurugi, but what if you got suspended and your parents said you couldn't play any games for the two weeks (or more)
I wouldn't risk getting suspended on purpose.
Think of it no World for two weeks or more

Shugotenshi - October 1, 2003 10:54 PM (GMT)
"The World" it has a time and place, and school is neither. I'm glad that schools are shaping up, it's about time. Guam school books? Ours are bad enough, we don't need theirs. and blue buses? I'm for reform in school, but some of this isn't very practical.

Rhilla - October 1, 2003 11:15 PM (GMT)
ya but what about down time in school? nothing to do so why not go on the computer and play a little bit of the world?

Shinamori Aoshi - October 2, 2003 11:45 PM (GMT)
Thats all ok, but suspension for playing online games; thats just stupid and I agree with Tsurugi. The means are worth the extremes; as my math teacher says. He also plays online games, but he won't tell me which ones. I would gladly do it for the game time. :D

Shugotenshi - October 3, 2003 04:23 PM (GMT)
Perhaps schools should create a reward system? The better you do, the more time you get playing games? They took our recess, so why not compensate? I know it would bring a few grades up and give incentive.

Shinamori Aoshi - October 4, 2003 01:03 AM (GMT)
That is a great idea, Shugotenshi. That would inspire alot of people to play and get better grades.

stormcloud - October 4, 2003 01:49 AM (GMT)
yeah but then They would get bad grades as soon as they get ingulfed in the games.

Rhilla - October 4, 2003 02:00 AM (GMT)
thats true... i know that when my grades would go waaaaaaaay down :D

Shinamori Aoshi - October 4, 2003 03:58 PM (GMT)
Thats probably true StormCloud. Oh, well. ^_^

Ayane - January 21, 2004 11:48 PM (GMT)
Her jaw drops in disbelief!
“That sounds a lot like the rules they have at my new school, except since you live on campus, there are no games PERIOD! Only the headmaster thinks it is a good idea, the rest of the staff hates this, along with all the students seeing as we all play it. I say fight the power!”
Takes out a picket sign and protests at her school… kekeke

Alectai - January 24, 2004 06:41 PM (GMT)
(Holds up hand) Doesn't it say that the busses are changing from Blue to Yellow?

Other then that, I agree with the local consensis, if they're going to rate playing a popular video-game in school up at the same level as randomly going up and mugging some poor fellow, then they're just going to foster even more dislike...

It's funny how they're rating playing a video game as such a high offense, but apparently bringing deadly weapons only gets the confiscated and you in a bit of trouble.

They have GOT to get their priorities straight ^_^

Quebe Lae - February 17, 2004 03:25 PM (GMT)
They should ask a randomly selected jury of students what the rules should be. I'm sure most honest students will agree there should be a punishment for playing games on school grounds, but.... not this harsh. Maybe some community service would be a better punishment? I mean, if you have all that time to play games, you can surely sacrifice some of it to help around your home town. Plus, it would help the students in the long run when they are trying to get into the NHS and such.

Spike Hartseeker - March 6, 2004 09:45 PM (GMT)
I never play games in school to begin with, so I have no problem with that law. But if it means that I won't be able to play games when I'm in college, grr... But... how the heck could they change the school bus color to BLUE?! It's just not a school bus if it's not yellow!

I swear, schools are getting dumber and dumber every year.
