Title: Another Day, Another Purchase

Locke - October 17, 2009 11:46 PM (GMT)
There was nothing to be said at this point, just an order to fill and a deal to be struck. Baron laid his list on the counter as he waited for a shopkeeper.

QUOTE
Selling:
Thunder Torque x1
Magatsu x1

Muttered whispers could be heard from the back of the shop, followed by a quiet giggle. After half a minute, a head popped around the corner, checking the front of the store, and ducked back instantly when it saw the customer. A new customer at that, someone that she hadn't been...introduced to before. Whistling happily, Quartz came back around the corner with her whip already showing, something that looked suspiciously like blood on one end of it.

"Yes? A list? Just telling me and no showing me? That's cruel, don't be a tease."

She quickly scanned the two lines before drumming her fingers on the counter, reaching a decision in seconds. A too-warm smile spread across her face as she leaned down, two fingers touching the paper.

"Show me your goods and I'll name my price."

Baron nodded and quickly removed the items in question, placing them on the counter. The Torque was in fairly new condition, since it hadn't seen much use, but it was unnecessary now that he was going to purchase an upgrade. The two blades, on the other hand, had seen better days, but that showed just how much they had been used.

"So, how much for the two of them?"

Quartz - October 18, 2009 12:25 AM (GMT)
Quartz took great care with the weapons, putting on a great show of inspecting just how much they'd been used. She wanted to sigh inside though. No reaction out of him, how apathetic. Too many people like that came through here. Sighing, she placed the weapons back down and smirked. Let's see if this got an emotion out of him.

"I'll give you 8000 for the two."

Locke - October 18, 2009 12:26 AM (GMT)
Indeed it provoked a reaction from Baron, a slight twitching of the eyebrow in mild interest as he did a quick mental calculation. Things were starting to get a bit more... interesting.

"10000 GP."

Quartz - October 18, 2009 12:34 AM (GMT)
She burst out laughing for several seconds before looking back down with tears in her eyes. After a bit, she was finally able to choke out her response.

"Expensive aren't we? For a worn out weapon like this? Let's go a bit cheaper, you'll never get anywhere that high. 8500."

Locke - October 18, 2009 12:35 AM (GMT)
Well, at least she wasn't threatening to shove that whip somewhere like the old shopkeeper might have. That was a good sign to begin with.

"Alright then, not that high? How about 9500 GP."

Quartz - October 18, 2009 12:40 AM (GMT)
A somewhat happy smile spread across her face as she played with the end of her whip. "If you're really willing to get paid 500 to play with my Domination Line, you can, but I don't normally run into someone so willing...feel like doing 9000?"

Locke - October 18, 2009 12:42 AM (GMT)
Okay, that definitely provoked a reaction, and not an eager one. Backing away, Baron shook his head fervently. He did not like the idea of playing with that whip!

"Ah... that's okay. 9000 GP for the two sounds very, very reasonable."

Quartz - October 18, 2009 12:46 AM (GMT)
She purred happily as she tied up the 9000 GP and hurled it to him at the end of her whip, collecting the two items and hurrying into the back with them.
