Name of Character in The World-Silver

Name of Real World Player-
Alex Clout

Age- (For both)
16

Class- (See Below)
Wavemaster

Eye color- (The World Character)
Grey-blue

Hair color- (The World Character)
Honey brown

Height- (The World Character)
169cm

Clothing- (The World Character)
As a practical and understated person, Silver wears fitted long plain grey-wash bootcut jeans. These end just before a pair of dull grey sandles. A heavy duty black and silver studded belt holds everything up. The clasp is a mixture of classy polished obsidian and a rough titanium finish, differentiated as flowing symbols set in a nondescript rectangle. Covering the belt most of the time is a bright green cotton shirt, fitted to his slim body with a set of black arcane symbols covering it in intricate but not all-encompassing detail. These are set in such a way that they seem to move as you watch them, an optical illusion of course. A grey crystal stud draws attention to Silver's right ear, unless one looks closer at the accompanying sleeper. The round ear-ring is far more detailed, carved nicely and with great care.

Personality- (For both, if different)
As a summary of his personality, one could say Alex was a down to earth person. Though this is true, it fails to note the complexities and idiosyncracies he exhibits. The psychiatrist has, possibly falsely, diagnosed him with relatively mild Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A need for perfection and a controlling streak in his personality are evidence to this, although the traits are perfectly within his control -ironically-. On the other hand, he gets obsessed or addicted to things very easily. At the same time, he is an easy going character and just enjoys his creative release. Though a very open minded person, a percieving character would note there are certain things he does not speak of, such as his family life, out of privacy if anyone asks.

Weapon/Armor and Skills-
Head – Bandanna (Repth)
Arm – Wristbands (Juk Rom)
Body – Leather Coat (Gan Zot)
Feet – Sandals

Cypress Wand (Rue Rom)
Iron Rod (Gan Rom)
Nautilus Rod (Gan Don)

Sample Story
It was a typical rainy day in sunny California, if one still believed it was California with the amount of rain lately. Summer break and there was just nothing to do, except maybe visit the game store and buy a copy of that new game. Alex tried to look like he didn't mind the rain at all; it did ruin his straightened hair. Being vain was one thing, being obsessively girly was another. Just the same as being a social butterfly was one thing, being a computer nerd was another.
Alex liked to break down barriers, mix things together. Being a computer nerd wouldn't make people hate him would it? Besides, this World game looked pretty awesome.

Okay, cut the act, he hated the rain. Alex ran for the bus station so he could get to the shop without being totally soaked. It turned out to be the right move as the skies exploded forth just as the bus almost missed him. An hour later and the city loomed forth, a magic explosion of color where anyone could buy whatever they wanted. The bus stopped under a shelter and Alex waited for the other people to get off so he didn’t have to cram through that tiny door. Just last week at school he’d tried to get out quickly and had an armpit in the face. The ensuing recoil combined with muddy footsteps and he slipped over, getting stepped on at the bottom. Buses weren’t very nice places, but at least the guy that stepped on him got a black eye.

The city was pretty quiet this afternoon, it was a Tuesday and school was still on for most. Alex did morning school, started extremely early but at least he finished at one o’clock. The game store was a ten minute walk in the middle of the city, absolutely prime shopping ground. It was surrounded in high end clothes stores and the like, but the store could still afford the rent because so many people bought its products. It didn’t even have a proper name, but everyone knew about it. This store was the only store that sold The World hardware and software as a bundle; you didn’t have to buy it online from Japan, which was a huge pain in the ass with freight and all.

The store loomed ahead, a mixture of geeks and upper class snobs crossing the beautifully tiled floor that so entranced one into entering. It was a mixture of symbols finished in red and black, made to look like ruby and obsidian but obviously cheaper alternatives. Alex walked inside, there were only a couple of people looking around and one person at the front desk. The World section stood in the corner, all sorts of merchandise for such a brilliant game. The all-encompassing box sat in the middle of the area, ready to be picked up and taken away. It was a bit dear though, full of stupid merchandise that no one needed. Alex was smarter to grad the needed hardware, the latest version of the software along with all updates and an extended guide. Altogether that guide was the heaviest, thicker than any of the encyclopaedias at school. It didn’t matter; the book was only just in case he couldn’t figure something out online. There was a virtual copy but reading off a screen wasn’t good for anyone’s eyes, such a big book was probably better in hard copy.

“Hey mate, could I get some World stuff?” Alex asked the nerdy looking man at the desk.

“Uh? Sure,” he replied, the term ‘mate’ never really caught on since Alex had moved from Australia.

“I just want the hardware and the software for this one,” he pointed to one of the emptied copies on the shelf. It was the all-encompassing copy, most kids couldn’t afford it, but Alex never really spent his money on anything so there was always plenty around.

“I’ll just get that from out the back, how much free time have you got, it’s a very time-consuming game,” The guy left Alex with a mild warning.

Half the contents of a once very-full wallet later, and magic! Alex was on his way back to the bus stop with his big white bag of goodies. He waited nervously at the stop for his bus, The World gear being as sought after as it was, and went straight home.

It was time to plug in.

(OOC: Okay, so ive seen .Hack//Sign and .Hack//Roots, but im still a little confused at the storyline, so forgive me if anything is wrong and ill fix it)

Takua - June 27, 2009 01:56 AM (GMT)
Hmm...someone may ask you to add dialogue to your RP in order to be accepted, I'd certainly look for it. Other than that though, this looks pretty good to me. Nice start for sure. You need at least a page in Word, so I believe you're almost there, although I could be wrong.

If you need a bit of an intro for the plot, talk to me at darktakua on AIM if I'm online, and I can fill you in a bit on Main and Subs.

Oh goodie you have the fast reply function active!!! I love it =P

I added another paragraph or so, it was near a page, but not quite there. How's that?

Sekai - June 27, 2009 05:41 AM (GMT)
Wow, I'm pretty impressed by your app, great job! =)

I'd say you're in, if anyone objects, please to be letting me know? xD

Welcome to Divergence, please make a copy of your reg and place it into the Character Profile's section of the board.

After that, check out our Big Brother/Sister program if you'd like a helping hand around the board/for a first quest or just jump right in and post to the BBS and look for a party!

Enjoy your stay!

EDIT: Riiight after you fix what Dien said. Spacey Sekai is spacey today.

If Dien is Takua then I already fixed that :)

EDIT:

Why are there so many profiles for unregistered users? =S

Jpec07 - June 27, 2009 02:47 PM (GMT)
Me = Dien. I thought Sekai was going to edit it into her post, and it was late, so I undid mine. x_x

Anywho, you only get one starting weapon, not all three. I trust that you'll edit your profile to match that. ^_^

And as to why there are so many profiles for unregistered users, they're actually users whose profiles were deleted in one of a number of "data drains" - systematic deletions of inactive members according to certain criteria. It's interesting to note just how many registrants drop off the radar once they've been accepted...
