Devin sighed as he muttered to himself about the tediousness of chores. He could agree that some of them are fun, but others seemed to be there to make his arms and legs sore. Devin also couldn’t understand how his mother could even consider the family of three getting the entire house cleaned in one weekend. Still, it could have been worse. He could have been forced to wash the windows or something. At least his mother allowed them to finish earlier than usual that day.
Well, I finally get to go online and go through that dungeon. He thought as he made his way up the stairs and into his room. Another sigh escaped his lips, but this was one of relief, as he sat down on his computer chair. He booted up the PC, double-clicked on the desktop icon for The World, and waited for the sign-in to load.

Welcome to The World, Soren!
Devin smiled a little before putting on his VR goggles. Gold rings flashed before his eyes, until they disappeared to reveal the town of Mac Anu. The theme music sounded quietly in his ears. It was a peaceful sound, which clashed with the bustle of the people in the Delta Server.
So…this is what Mac Anu looks like everyday? Soren wondered, carefully avoiding any collisions with other players. He simply stayed near the Gate that would take him to the various fields in the Delta Server. It was then that he wanted to slap himself. The people he was going with probably had no idea where to meet him! Soren sighed, thankful that he at least knew their usernames.
Quickly, the small Wavemaster pulled up the email window and typed in the names of the two who agreed to help him out in this dungeon. In the email, he wrote that they were to meet him near the Gate and to look for a black-haired, red-eyed Wavemaster.
Soren sent the message and leaned against the wall. He would be lying if he said that he wasn’t nervous. Soren just couldn’t help but wonder how this little adventure was going to turn out.
Cameron spun around in his chair, stopping it when he was facing the computer. Today was going to be a great day, he could feel it. After the whole debacle at the Chateau, he couldn’t wait to just go into a normal area with someone normal and bust up some enemies in a normal fashion. Suddenly realizing how many “normals” went into the thought he just had, he couldn’t help but laugh.
”Normal, hah! Normal is just a setting on a dryer.”
Still laughing a bit, he put on the hypno-helmet, grabbed the controller, and booted up the game.

Welcome to The World!
--------------------------------
Nemorac blinked as he entered the bright place of The World. He was still surprised at how well the helmet worked, immersing him completely into The World. As he stretched a bit, a mail pinged. He opened and read it. It was from Soren, the Wavemaster he had agreed to accompany on a small quest.
”So, I’m to look for a Wavemaster in black clothing and red eyes, huh. Hopefully I won’t have to get too close to realize they have red eyes, but I guess that’s a good backup plan.”
As he walked toward the Chaos Gate, he looked at the normal hustle and bustle. Pretty average for a day like today, people just walking around, trading, talking, stuff like that. However, as he was walking, he saw something that made his blood boil. A few people were trying to sell things, and were spamming the “@” symbol at the end of their trade notification, a tactic he had seen before when there were several people on the map and someone wanted their message seen. However, these two were the only ones doing this, so there was no need. Nemorac walked over to them, and yelled to them.
”HEY! Can you two spare a second?”
The two immediately stopped and looked at him, quizzical looks on their faces.
”Yeah, what do you want?”
”You do realize the whole “@” thing is stupid and annoying, especially since there are only two of you are doing such a thing.”
”Why don’t you leave before we do something you’ll reget.”
”That’s not what your mom said last night.” Nemorac muttered.
”WHAT WAS THAT?!”
”Oh, nothing, nothing. Well, been nice trying to educate you guys, see ya.”
Nemorac then dashed off, trying to leave them in the dust. He figured they wouldn’t try to chase him, as people like that were often too concentrated on trying to trade to deal with people with common sense who tried to set them straight. Feeling a little better, Nemorac continued to head toward the Chaos Gate. When he finally got there, he spotted Soren, the only other Wavemaster there, and indeed dressed in black. Wanting to joke around with him a bit, he walked up to Soren, and placed an arm on Soren’s right shoulder.
”Hello. Waiting on someone?
Another of Dr. Greenwood's social experiments had been lined up for today, her therapist strongly pushing for more interaction between other players and other class types to get the "best" of this odd game. Natalie stared at the loading screen as the spinning gate continued to load the home server for all of those who were new. The controller was in her hands after being cleaned for an hour straight and disinfected with wipes from her own cleaning supplies.
Finally, she thought to herself with a sigh as she watched her character slowly form herself out of vast amounts of data. Black clothing, black hair, red eyes and a Wavemaster. That could describe a good number of people I see. Natalie decided as she had Skychild turn around to get a better look around. A female Twin Blade wearing a blue-green sleeveless tunic and brown leggings moved swiftly and with light footsteps over the cobblestone ground.
Long, wavy reddish-brown hair reached the small of her back as she had her character put a hand on her hip, right below the braided leather belt slung low to reveal a similar looking sheath holding one of her daggers as she paused to look around Despite her character's closed eyes, Natalie was positive that, even if her character were a real person, Skychild would be more than competent enough to handle herself.
I was told to meet them at the Chaos Gate, or so I think. A quick check to her inbox proved her guess to be the correct one as she headed for the meeting point and found a Wavemaster matching that description... and another fellow who must have been the other one who'd responded. Two men as companions? Natalie felt her brow furrow in mild distress. Male and female children weren't allowed to interact very often in her setting and when they did, only with direct supervision.
Choosing a mild approach, Natalie directed Skychild toward the two men and stopped her a couple of feet- a safe distance, in her opinion- away before typing out her own form of greeting.
Hello there, would you two happen to be my party members from the boards?
All she could do, now that she'd taken care of that little matter, was wait for a response.
(OOC: Sorry, I'm just not feeling up to RPing now...I know I was going to RP with y'all, but for some reason I just don't feel the RP spirit right now...I'm really sorry. Good luck!)
Nemorac pulled his weight off of Soren, and shrugged.
"Man, did you have to come this soon? I was trying to mess with him a bit. Oh well."
Before he could do say anymore, Cameron was thrust out of the game. He pulled of the helmet, and looked around the room.
"Oh great, a power outage."
Cameron sulked away from his computer, trying to figure out something that would occupy his time until the power came back on.
