Ruikage ducked into the Pawn Shop, looking around for someone that would be manning it. Not seeing anyone, he stepped up and rang the bell, looking around.

"Anyone here?"

A bell rang. A bell. The ringing was clear even from the stockroom of the shop, and a disheveled-looking Wavemaster stepped out from the back. He moved over to the bell, examining it closely, the shiny sheen catching his eye.

"When did we get a bell...?"

He completely failed to notice the customer on the other side of the counter.

Ruikage raised an eyebrow but otherwise wasn't perturbed. He'd seen a lot of absentminded people.

"Apparently for some time. Now then, can you tell me how much an Plasma Storm, Iron Step and Executioner would cost?"

Topaz looked up as he was addressed, curiously noticing the man on the other side of the counter. What was he doing there...? Oh! He must be a customer. Surely he had an order.

"Oh, hullo there. Welcome to the Pawn Shop. You wanted..." He paused in confusing, forgetting the order. "A Wood Sprite, a pair of Fist Guards, and a Singing Blade, was it?"

"...Plasma Storm, Iron Step, Executioner."

"Oh, right... got it. Let's see, they run for..."

The bell glimmered. It was shiny. Shiny was his friend, and it drew his eye. For a moment, he sat staring at the bell, then he turned to the customer with a smile. "The shiny bell says that there's no such thing as an Ion Storm, sir. But the other two items are..." He looked to the bell for reassurance, "Um... I think it's 5600 GP total... though you look like you appreciate shiny things too. You deserve a discount... Oh! I know, would you like to meet and talk about shiny things together? I just need your Member's Address and we can share our love of shiny things!"

Ruikage sighed. This was getting ridiculous. No coming while this guy was manning the shop then, and god help him if this befudled Wavemaster was the only one who ran the place.

"Plasma Storm, not Ion. And if it's that low...then I'll take an Aqua String as well. How much would that be?"

"Oh, a Plasma Storm. I know we've got... wait. I forget, did we restock them? Oh darn it, I'll have to go look..."

The shopkeep wandered off, walking around the counter and digging through the scroll bin as he looked for it. Finally finding the yellow-bound scroll at the bottom, he returned with a triumphant smile. Setting it on the counter, he swept the items off to the side.

"One Plasma Storm, that'll be 200 GP sir!"

One thing at a time apparently, or he could just forget about the whole affair and go home. One or the other.

"And, if it isn't too much to ask, do you have an Aqua String?"

"Oooh, yes, the Aqua String. Y'know, I always wondered how one made a string out of water. I tried once, but it just made a puddle. But I can make a good puddle at least!"

Pushing the scroll off with the pile of items, he pulled the requested whip from a shelf after a moment of searching and set it on the counter. "Big discount on this one, It's down to 1800 GP for a limited time! Though personally, I recommend a blue string instead. It's not so... wet, you know?"

Alright...so that was 7600 total then. Putting the large amount of money from his pockets, the Blademaster placed it all on the counter in a large bag before gathering up his stuff.

"Eh, we'll see. Don't know if I like it or not. See you later."
