[11. Story] - It had been a year since the traumatizing suicide of Yuu's sister Yoru. Her mother tried to do whatever she could to try to make Yuu smile again, but all was in vain or so it seemed. Yuu had been doing well in school for the most part as she kept to herself. So she had alot of free time to which she devoted to her studies, both school related and unrelated. She found herself fascinated with death after her sister's demise. She could still picture Yoru there in the shed hanging from the noose Yoru herself had created for amusement. Yoru had been the bad seed of the twin sisters from birth and poor Yuu had always been at one point the quiet soft spoken obedient sister. She did enjoy playing with Yoru, but its only because she hadn't any other friends. When Yuu had walked into the shed that day and saw her sister dangling lifeless from the noose. She felt compelled on a sub-conscious level that she would have to carry on Yoru's life out of misplaced guilt.
Her mother would constantly bring gifts home for Yuu to have, which she thought would help make her feel better. These gifts consisted of books relating to her current curiosities in death and murder, which consisted of mystery novels from the local bookstore and videogames from the mall. Yuu did enjoy the gifts, but her smiles were always short lived. One day her mother picked up a new game at the mall called the World. Yuu's mother had seen her studying articles on the past events of people going into a coma from playing the game. She also knew that there hadn't been a coma incident in quite some time, which meant that Yuu would be safe if she played the game. Yuu smiled briefly when her mother handed her the gift, "Here you go Yuu! I saw you reading about this on the computer and thought you might be interested in playing it yourself?" Yuu replied, "Thanks mom, I'll open it up and see how it works right away!"
Yuu's mom smiled herself feeling somewhat satified with the emotional results her gift brought. Yuu just peeled away the wrapper to the game and then whipped out the gamer manual. She quickly began to scan the text as she clicked the button to open the CD drive. She placed the CD in and waited for the game to load as she continued to study. She thought to herself,
I wonder what this game is like and I wonder what was causing all those problems so long ago in the game. Maybe, I myself could find some sort of key to the puzzle? If not, I could always just kill some stuff. She giggled to herself as she watched the main screen pop up. She quickly put in the CD Registry Code and watched as the screen then asked for a username and password. Yuu thought for a few moments, but decided to use her real name for the game. Within seconds she found herself creating a custom character that seemed to look exactly like herself. She paused for a few seconds when it came time to choose her class, but soon chose the heavy blade class because of its high strength stats.
She smiled once more when she could see her character appearing for the first time in front of the Chaos Gate in Mac Anu. The server itself was a sight to behold with its cobblestone walkways and venice-like setting. She turned her character using the mouse with her right hand and looked at all the players bustling about without a care in the world. Yuu's smile took on a more sadistic twist when she mumbled to herself, "This is way to happy, I think its time for a change in this game. Its time to show them... isn't that right, Yoru?" It was as if a shadow lingered over Yuu's shoulder in real life; pulling her strings almost like a marrionette.
