Title: Altimit Mine OS Wallpapers
Description: To make your desktop look awesome!!

trinityrenee - January 4, 2009 11:33 PM (GMT)
Recently I got bored and I made my desktop look like the Altimit Mine OS Desktop from .hack//G.U. and after I made it, I though "Why not let everyone else do it to?" So, I made 7 colors in 3 different sizes!!

800x600
Blue
Green
Orange
Purple
Red
Yellow
Silver

1024x768
Blue
Green
Orange
Purple
Red
Yellow
Silver

1280x800
Blue
Green
Orange
Purple
Red
Yellow
Silver

If you want a specific color that's not mentioned here, send me a PM and I'll make it. I'll only make these three sizes, so any new colors will be in all 3 sizes. And... That's about it. If you guys like it and take a screencap of it, post it and let me know. I'll also tell you how to fix things, if you can't figure it out. =3 Hope you all enjoy it!

...dude, those are awesome. That's an incredible idea you have there. XD

And I'll probably use it, too.

trinityrenee - January 5, 2009 01:02 AM (GMT)
Why.... Thank you!

It sure makes your desk top a whole lot cleaner =3

Stane - January 5, 2009 05:43 AM (GMT)
Wow, those are really good :O. How come you wont' make ones that are bigger? :< Like, say, 1920x1200?

Jpec07 - January 5, 2009 05:53 AM (GMT)
Stane, you and your silly super-resolution monitor!

If you don't wanna adapt it to that large of a resolution, Trin, I'll take care of it. ^_^

Ah, thank you!

The reason being is because it's just too big for me to make sure everything is perfect. I do things by sight rather than grids, even though mu vision is bad. ^_^;

*nods*

I intend to use vectors to do the upscaling--I'll send you the .psd file when I'm done, if you want.

EDIT: You know what would be really cool? Windows Vista actually has a function that lets it play video backgrounds. If I remember correctly, the Altimit MINE OS screen had some animation in the game. It would be tight to get that as a background...

trinityrenee - January 5, 2009 06:44 AM (GMT)
Yea, it did. But I don't think Vista will do that... Nyoron~....

Stane - January 5, 2009 08:13 AM (GMT)
...while you're at it, dien >_>; lol. Would you mind getting it to 3360x1200? My other monitor that branches off to the left of the screen would appreciate it XDDD. Just kidding. It would probably be better to do what I'm doing now and put a 1920x1200 chuck on the right side of the image and a 1440x1200 on the other. The monitor only goes to 1440x900, but random non-polygons aren't friendly.

*laughs generally*

Wow these are great. ^^ I know you said you wont make them in any other sizes. But is it possible for someone else to make a wide screen version?

Either way they are amazing. *saves some of them.*

Jpec07 - January 5, 2009 06:07 PM (GMT)
On a side note, has anyone ever noticed how similar the PS3 menu screen is to the Altimit screen?

trinityrenee - January 5, 2009 07:37 PM (GMT)
;_; I don't have a ps3...

Jpec07 - January 5, 2009 10:59 PM (GMT)
Shouldn't be too hard to find an image on Google. ^_^

Oh and Kragt, the 1280x800 one is widescreen on a ratio of 8:5, although it is distorted slightly to make it reach that size. I should have an non-distorted one out sometime in the next week or so, if I can remember how to do what I plan on doing...

Very nice, very nice. I actually currently have the original Altimit OS Screen in purple from the Original games, but this would be a neat addition.

As for movie backgrounds, I heard something about that a while ago. But, I do remember that back in Windows 98, you could have animated gifs on your desktop. Let me look around, there is probably a program that someone has made to do that.

EDIT: DeskScapes by Stardock has something that runs just like a Microsoft program for Vista Ultimate owners called DreamScape: http://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/index.asp

Sadly, you have to pay for it, but they do have a free trial, but it only lets you use the built in ones.

trinityrenee - January 6, 2009 06:57 PM (GMT)
I'd like to make those for different sizes, if I can alter it a bit to look nice, lol.

Archangel - January 7, 2009 02:02 AM (GMT)
Yes, they are quite nice. For now I'll just take the classic silver one in the largest size you've made, thanks! *saves it*

trinityrenee - January 7, 2009 08:20 PM (GMT)
^-^ Thank you for your service! Come again!

It can, it just uses quite a bit of memory.

But that's no problem when you have 8GB of RAM /flex

yeah, our school sucks that way. it just so happens that Learning is also not tolerated by the schoolboard.

But back on track, those are nice. Burgundy would be a nice colour, however you spell it. neon blue would be cool too, but I like the blue already as it is.
