Title: Stock Trip
Description: For the Dynasty

Kyin - January 3, 2009 05:18 AM (GMT)
The young Wavemaster entered the Pawn Shop, looking for a shopkeeper. Approaching the counter, he rang a small bell.

"Hello? I'd like to buy a few items, please? Specifically, a Wooden Spear, Air Wand, Water Axe, Spark Blades and a Steel Cap?"

Gambit - January 3, 2009 09:08 AM (GMT)
A drowsy Long Arm arose from behind the counter. A blanket fell from him as he yawned, stretching as he began to speak. "Kid, you ever heard of letting sleeping Cajuns lie? Anyway, what's it you're looking for? Well hell, let's see." A hand rose, and fingers were used to count. When he needed more digits, toes were included. "I think we're looking at about 3,750 GP, unless you got something else shiny to offer me. Wait." He glanced down at his feet, curling and uncurling his toes. "Yeah, I carried the pinky."

Kyin - January 4, 2009 07:23 AM (GMT)
Surprise encompassed the Wavemaster's expression as a man rose from behind the sales counter. A blanket dropped down softly, the man's yawn showing the kid quite a few pearly whites. He bowed, hands clasped, apologetically, before rummaging through his inventory to see if he had any shiny things to offer the shopkeeper. Unfortunately, short of lowering his pathetic spell selection for the next jaunt, he hadn't a thing to give.

"I apologise for rousing you, Mr. Shopkeeper. As for shiny things, I'm afraid that I haven't any items of the sort. Unfortunately, I can only pay with money, unless you would like something else. Maybe a Member Address or something?" He couldn't think of why this man would take a level two's Address, but it was worth a shot.

Gambit - January 4, 2009 07:33 AM (GMT)
He yawned. "Panic's a good look on you, kid. Look, I'm half delirious. A Member Addy sounds great. How's about we call it 3600 and the Address then?"

For a groggy man, the plan was ingenious. Get the kid's Member Address, then send him Pawn advertisements late at night every night for a week. No, that was too vengeful. Maybe just once a month.

Kyin - January 6, 2009 01:36 AM (GMT)
Panic? Do I look scared or something?

Kyin thought for a moment. If he were to hand his Member Address out as if it were his first name, the boy would undoubtedly run into trouble with someone soon after. "Umm, on second thought, I will hold onto this for another day. Shall we go back to your previous offer, sir?" He didn't mean to offend the man by the gesture of holding on to his Address, but Kyin suddenly felt very uneasy about handing out the item of sorts.

Gambit - January 6, 2009 05:35 AM (GMT)
"You've got backbone, son. I like that in ya. Tell you what, you can have it for the 3,600 anyway. Just give me a few days to rustle it all up, and we'll call it a deal?"

Kyin - January 16, 2009 01:13 AM (GMT)
"That would be much appreciated, Mr. Shopkeeper. I will be back when the items have been rustled."

The Wavemaster bowed, nodding in gratitude. Robe swirling off the ground slightly, he turned and exited the store.

Returning a few days later, the boy looked for the shopkeeper. Upon spotting the man of - was it Cagin? - background behind the counter, he took out the money required for the transaction. Waiting for the man to bring his five items out, the player paid the 3600 GP agreed upon and exited with his spoils, a small "Good day to you, Mr. Shopkeeper." spoken and an even smaller smile on his face.

((OOC: I'm assuming that we've hit the few days mark a while back, sir xD))
