He has a necklace, with a turquoise star shaped pendant on it.

Personality
He is usually happy go lucky, and upbeat. Always donned with a smile, and helpful advice, he is a very loyal friend. He has a major curiousity streak, rivaling that of Pandora’s. Vince is a bit of a show off sometimes though. He can be a bit arrogant at times, and a little greedy, but no ones perfect. However he gets bored easily with routine things, such as school, and everyday life, and craves excitement, which is why he joined the World. Living through his blasé life, he wants a change, and hopefully the World can give it to him.

Story
The morning sunlight had finally penetrated the shield formed by the sheer style shades, and the alarm clock was not far behind, its high trills forcing Vincent from his deep, well deserved rest. He sluggishly regained consciousness, while simultaneously looking for the source of the aggravating obnoxious beeping. He often missed the bus to school as a result of him ignoring his alarm and going back to sleep. Then one year for his birthday he got an alarm clock. This alarm clock should be called a torture device. It didn’t just ring, it was much worse. As soon as it set off on its tirade it was hard to stop. It worked like this: first it would just beep for a minute. Then if you did not hit the snooze button, it would get progressively louder for another minute. After that, if you still had not turned it off, it would reach its loudest level, a near-deafening tone that could probably wake everyone up in the house. While reaching its apogee of noise, it would roll around your room until you stopped it. Well it sure did a good job of getting him up earlier because, first thing in the morning, that little torture device was hard to catch. He found it and satisfyingly slammed his fist down on the snooze button to stop the vociferous clamor that was coming from it.

“Finally,” he said relieved, “Stupid thing.” He placed it back on the desk. Now he was fully awake from chasing the speed demon around his room, before cornering it between his television and bookshelf. He jumped into the shower, and rinsed his shoulder length blond hair with strawberry scented shampoo and conditioner. He had long forgotten the names on the illegible labels of the products, which had deteriorated from water damage. He got out and made a pot of coffee and a toasted buttered bagel. He got dressed, putting on a pair of jeans with a hole on his right knee from falling down his porch stairs one day and a plain forest green tee shirt. As he got to the door he put on his most comfortable running shoes and put some food in the dog bowl on his way out.

School passed him by without much interest, and the classes were spent by him doodling in his notebooks absentmindedly. For him, school had become mind numbingly easy since the start of high school. At lunch he sat at his usual table, with his friends. He sort of just listened to the convocation without much interest, things had become routine in his life and he wanted something to break the monotony.

“Hey Vince, do you play the World?” his friend Hannah asked inquisitively.

He shrugged before replying, “What is that?”

She went on and explained as a game where friends can get together and go on quests. She told him about the 6 classes that you could start off as, and what each of them was about. Then she finished with, “I’m a long arm and Rachel, my sister, is a twin blade. Oh and Alex is a wavemaster. Hey, you should play with us!”

Lunch ended and the rest of the day passed with little more significance, although in English class he and Rachel talked more about it. She joked, “Our group of friends could use more fire power. I mean come on Hannah, my little sister, has the most physical class.”

“Hey, I am going to get the game,” Vince replied, “Can you come to my house and help me set it up after school? I’m no good with computers.”

She nodded and the class bell rang, since it was last period he was free from school. Also, it was Friday so he had two days to embark on this new adventure called The World. He got to the store, Game Stop, and asked if they had any copies.

“Sorry kid,” the petite blond girl at the register said, “Looks like we’re all out.”

He frowned and replied, “Can you check the back room? There could be one.”

“Sure kid, but do not get your hopes up,” she responded glumly before withdrawing to the alcove that lead to the back room of the store, suddenly she yelled, “Hey kid! Do get your hopes up, we have one copy left. You got lucky.”

He smiled and hurriedly took it from her hands while at the same time handing her the money. Before departing, he bid her farewell, “Thank you so much and have a nice day!”

“You too, kid,” she retorted, still incessantly calling him kid.

He got home and Rachel came over soon after. He put in the disk and expected to watch the download bar creep by, percent by percent, forever and ever. Much to his surprise it downloaded rather quickly, in about fifteen minutes. That was fantastic, for such a large file. While it was installing, he mulled over which class to pick. Reading the manual, he finally decided on Heavyblade, seeing as he could pack a punch and still have a bit of magic. He wanted to pick Blademaster, but Rachel coerced him into picking Heavyblade, claiming it was better. Seeing as he did not have as much experience as her, he did not really argue with her assessment. He was also influenced by her comment in English class. When it finished installing, he was asked to give a login name and a password.

When he signed in he was greeted by a computerized female voice which said, “Welcome to the World. Please input character name, choose your class, and customize your character avatar.” He followed all the steps given to him by the A.I. and soon found himself off into The World as the Heavyblade, Jexath.
