Title: Shopping trip

Sekai - December 30, 2008 11:03 PM (GMT)
It'd been quite a while since she'd entered the shop, the little Archer thought to herself with a look around the inventory, nodding to herself in satisfaction as she gathered an assortment of items that would do her visit justice and approached the counter.

"Um... excuse me?"

Always the polite one, the white haired, tawny eyed girl was.

"What would the total be for one each of a Warrior, Beast, Wizard and Knight's Blood in addition to two Hale Cross scrolls and, um,"

She checked the assortment again.

"These Fishing Gloves?"

Uncertain but hopeful that there'd be a nice shopkeeper in today, the young woman waited patiently and readjusted the gold-brown scarf around her neck as the urge to fidget started kicking in.

Something about this one says I'd be wasting my time to hit on her. You know, never hurts though.

The Long Arm studied the girl as she began to fiddle with her clothing a little. She seemed somewhere between nervous and scared, something that he just didn't want to get into at that moment. Black Holes just weren't his thing. "Well, missy, I'd say we could let 'em go for...5,300 GP. If you were willing to pony up that cute little Member Address of yours, I'd be willing to let you have it for 5,100."

Sekai - December 31, 2008 12:36 AM (GMT)
She seemed to take a moment to think about the deal, rummaging around within her inventory to find anything that might be good to sell to lower the price.

"What if... I placed my Steel Dragon Crossbow in? Perhaps we could lower it to, say, 4,600 GP for the total?"

A sweet, if not a little shy, smile showed itself.

"Hell, for that price, I'll throw in dinner and a movie." He smiled wide, eyes glowing. He placed the items on the counter, save for the Fishing Gloves. Those he handed to her, loosing a little spark when she reached for them.

"Call me."

Sekai - December 31, 2008 07:43 AM (GMT)
How many times was she going to be zapped before she'd stop being surprised by these things? Sekai wondered to herself as she yelped despite herself as the spark jumped to her skin unexpectedly when she'd reached for the gloves.

Confused, she looked up at the new shop keeper, this definitely wasn't Nizam, and hesitated a moment before replying. If... if she was supposed to call- and dear Gods, for what exactly?- then, well, shouldn't she get his name?

"Um... sir? I, well, um,"

Fidget, fidget, fidget.

"I didn't know there was a movie theater within 'The World', and, um... while dinner sounds pleasant, I..."

Fidget, fidget, fidget; it was like she was that shy little nerdy library girl getting cornered by that popular, outgoing and confidant sports guy in the hallways after some huge basketball game in high school or something.

...Oh wait; she was that shy little nerdy library girl. Whoops.

"I think this is the first time, we've, um, met. I... I don't even know your name."

The last part sounded rather apologetic, big light golden-brown eyes staring up through her white bangs as she shifted her weight on to her other foot.

Gambit - December 31, 2008 08:15 AM (GMT)
"Name's Gambit, cutie, but you can call me any name you want to." As the Long Arm smiled, he dug into his jacket pocket for just a moment. Pulling the King of Hearts from the deck of cards in his pocket, [Always to be kept on top, he reminded himself, One never knows when they might need it.] he channelled a Vak spell through it just the tiniest bit, burning his name across the bottom. "My card."

His grin grew wider as he leaned forward. "You know," he said, turning his head to offer a cheek, "It's customary, in the Cajun culture, for one to receive a kiss after finishing a business deal. Seals the thing."

Sekai - December 31, 2008 08:39 AM (GMT)
She made sure to remember the name; unique as it was, the little green garbed Archer didn't think she'd be forgetting it any time soon. However, the 'cutie' addition had her looking over her shoulder for anyone who might have entered... and the realization kicked in a few scant seconds later in the form of a blush that stained her cheeks the color of some of the holiday ribbons she'd seen outside.

Said blush suddenly turned into wide eyed panic as she seemed to visibly ransack through her own thoughts for any remote little scrap of information she might have had about this 'Cajun' culture he spoke of. Coming up with absolutely nothing and feeling as if she were being more than rude by keeping him waiting- not to mention that questioning such things would be considered more than, well, impolite, if not downright insulting- the shy girl stepped forward cautiously, hesitantly and stood on tip toe to get a bit of leverage over the counter.

And hastily gave a kiss against this Gambit-san's cheek, the blush returning with a fierce and vicious vengeance as she stumbled back in self-conscious embarrassment.

"U-Um, thank you for b-being open and continuing to do business Gambit-san,"

Dear God she was babbling. Sekai bowed twice in thanks, backing into another customer and yelping, apologizing profusely to said individual before speaking again to the Long Arm at the counter.

"I-I'll be going now, it was nice to m-meet you!"

And quickly dashed out of the store into the snowy town... probably to go hide in a snowdrift for a little while and attempt to calm her rather easily flustered self down.

Gambit - December 31, 2008 08:41 AM (GMT)
He smiled as the young girl left. "Best. Job. Ever."
